Turning the kickoff into pretty much a spend contest… not cool.

Kick off contest has always been a fun grind contest within my faction of who could get the largest score through grinding, yet the changes made recently seem to be incentivising the player base to play the game less which just doesn't make sense to me.
When I started playing the game years ago we could do showdown as much as we wanted to grind for rewards... now we are capped at only 3 matches a day.
Stipulation tours are fun but once they are completed there's not much replayability,
I bought the 5 star bronze Raquel Rodriguez starter pack cuz I was under the impression I'd have a chance at getting Visceras new skill plate but unless every member of my top 20 faction were to buy the same starter pack it's not possible to achieve, it feels bad that my progress is limited by my factions spending.
After finishing all the tours and blitz tours there's nothing left to do in the game. Which is pushing me to play other games ... its a bad buisness model to leave the player base with nothing to do ...
The talent up is frustrating because after spending a billion coin and thousands of tp I was still 40000 points away from maxing the talent up... it would be great if there was a way to bring for coin and tp through the road at a reasonable rate ... like if the match rewards scaled with difficulty so beating a 6Star gold opponent in the road gave like a million gold and 100 tp … so we can at least build up currencies for events.
Last months event I had spent enough to get all the new characters but couldn't use them for the boss battle points because I ran out of coin and tp to meet requirements.
Why spend money on new characters if when we actually get them the CSS requirements of new characters is for them to be at 6 star gold... the choices being made make no sense it's like they are purposely trying to push the player base away from the game by making us pay to play it ... its not even pay to win anymore.
In short if we're spending money on the game and have all the CSS requirements we should be able to reach every reward milestones for events.
Shouldn't the game reward the spenders?

Early on but this MLC seems like an amazing improvement. I hope you guys build on this. Here is what seems so much better:
- Getting rid of the kickoff tour marathon grind is a massive quality of life improvement, maybe the best thing in years in this game. Playing the same match for 3 days straight is nobody’s idea of fun. Good riddance.
- The shorter nodes in tours are great. Raquel / Piper / etc feel like less of a chore.
- Related to #1, replacing the tour grind with a blitz is great because the reward of emblems is way better than what we got before.
- The boost to rarity in jumpstart packs is nice, finally reflects the current meta. In addition removing the 3-day wait for the “free” card is a nice inclusive touch, very balanced for spenders and non-spenders.
- Brutus as CSS for one of the tours is a nice touch for people who maybe missed last month and get another chance to grab him, or if they liked him and want to keep building him. Good feature.
Of course there are a couple areas to potentially improve:
- The main MLC loot continues to be completely underwhelming. Generally I feel like the outcome is worse than the free key loot, which at least helps out with 20,000 shard drops when doing a mega pull. A mega on the MLC loot feels worthless.
- The main contest prize wall seems generally underwhelming. While it’s a nice touch for players to get chase some recent cards they might have barely missed on, there’s not much of interest beyond that. The resources are underwhelming and the straps are all RNG-based and not much of an upgrade for most league 24 players.

Thank you for listening to our feedback by making the Kickoff less exhausting than before and adding a decent amount of rewards such as coins, TP, gear tokens, strap parts, and armory coins in the tours. It’s a much-appreciated improvement.
Improvement Suggestion:
While redeeming items from the Prize Wall, the process requires excessive clicking, especially for items with a purchase limit (e.g., 10x for coins). Currently, each item has to be redeemed one by one, which is time-consuming. Please consider adding a quantity slider or plus-minus buttons—similar to those used when leveling up moves—to allow faster and more convenient redemptions.1 -
I'm really not a fan of the new kickoff structure, but I do see some positives.
Positives
Prizewall is great for an early incentive.
I like the blitz from a gameplay point of view. (More fun than grinding a particular node)
Negatives
The milestones are not well balanced for smaller factions. My faction are currently ranked 122 and have only completed 3 milestones. That's really disheartening. Easier to achieve early milestones would massively help in this area.
The event assumes full faction participation which just doesn't happen in smaller factions. It would be helpful to have better individual tour/be lots rewards to incentivise play.
This has had such a negative impact on our faction, despite our ranking being similar to normal, we are losing members due to not hitting enough milestones. This does really need sorting to avoid losing players.

Please make tokens for new better players more accessible to the loyal players that have played 4vyears and never get any tokens.... I can't afford to buy them....

Here's an updated feedback as the mlc is almost over.
Positive changes:
- Kickoff grind is finally gone! There's really nothing bad about daily grind getting replaced with easy 2 minutes blitz. Not everyone has whole day to play a game. Please don't revert it next mlc.
- The mlc tours like revamp tour,free character (Raquel) tour have less matches for similar rewards. The recap tour are now monthly instead of weekly. All these reduces the grind without reducing the rewards. These are awesome changes.
- So the S-tier chase was actually possible to get by grinding. No rare css required,no plot twists so thank you Scopely for this amazing change
The negatives:
1. The mlc prizewall is looking quite underwhelming. I loved the weekly prizewall that we had in past mlc.
2. The A-tier chase's shards has been reduced MASSIVELY. In the past A-tiers had around 2200 regular shards (not counting the daily web claim) this months A-tier had 2000 shards including the web claim. Also the "regular" 2000 shards were behind "premium" CSS such as hogan, PH Raquel etc. Those shards aren't regular and should've been listed as premium. I hope to more A-tier shards availablity in future mlcs.
3. 6 star gold coins got replaced by chest. It's a bad change,I prefer the loot coins because it guaranteed someone from "mega rare" or "featured" and now they're all just clumped together with bad ones. Please bring the loot coins.
4. Armoury loot coins given to everyone was nerfed. That was disappointing
Overall this was a solid 8/10 mlc. Not a bad one for sure and the contents from week 3-4 were AMAZING. If more bundy shards were available,then it would have 9/10.

You NEVER listen as all you do is mostly copy and paste the same events (from previous showdowns, faction feuds, boss battles) with their janky issues along with the same old bugs and technical issues which the only difference is changing the bonus superstars needed and the name
That being said, you want constructive criticism? here it is and it’s not just for this event (as you don’t even care to listen to the player base as a whole and I’m following from a page in your own playbook by just copying and pasting myself from a note on my phone):
First of all, I know this is a business but please, Please, PLEASE!!!! leave the 100% pay to lose (as I don’t think it’s pay to win as the odds are highly against the player base) events OUT of the game!!! If the players want to spend, it should be out of our own decision and instead of Fear of Missing Out tactics to satisfy your bottom line!
Also, please don’t make tasks so massive grinds… sometimes I feel this game can sometimes be a second job. A prime examples is Showdown events of deal an over inflated number of damage with a worthless wrestler/faction for just ONE point!
Please put a damn cap on Gem and Move Defense as it gets really annoying seeing setups that can kill AI opponents with ease get EXTREMELY nerfed in Showdown and Feuds because someone’s RNG luck was better. I faced opponents with 150 up to 300%+ gem and move defense, HOW IN THE WORLD IS THAT FAIR!?!?! (Oh wait… I know, It’s Scopely’s not giving two F’s on what a low spender like me thinks). Oh and to all those who say “just configure your character better”, I do the best I can with what the game’s RNG does for me and I still get shafted so stuck it in your ear with the “get good” comments. Also, please give the AI random medals in stead of the best stuff because it gets really annoying seeing them with top stuff while I’m dealing with trash due to RNG as that’s straight up lazy programming.
For Showdowns- Please make the per battle wins seem more worth the time. Example: the Power-Up Showdown, it doesn’t matter if players are in the NXT Division or the Undisputed Champion Division, a victory is worth JUST 55 evo tokens… kinda lame for those in higher divisions. Also, just 200 showdown coins for a regular showdown win, regardless which division is kinda lame too. Showdown battles in higher divisions take longer so it the rewards should reflect that.
Please lay off the steel cage rules. I swear it’s on every single event and it’s not even creative, it’s just straight up Grade A Laziness! Also, if there’s a limitation for players, PUT IT ON THE AI AS WELL!!! I think it’s complete bs that players can’t use some combination of belts, medals, trainers, or entourage BUT THE AI DOESNT HAVE THE SAME RESTRICTIONS… SERIOUSLY WTMFH?!?!?! I bet the players can come up with something WAY better than your ignorant developers can come up with.
For Boss Battles, PLEASE disable the move animations in this mode as time is limited per turn and they eat up so much time. Also, please reduce bosses health as battles aren’t supposed to be slogs due to janky mechanics… and please give us SOMETHING when players try and fail to beat the boss as nothing irks me more than spending minutes to get NOTHING when the boss defeats the players.
Can you also run recycling opportunities more often as even after the last event, my inventory is still filled with junk that’s from years ago. I would think clearing out all that useless junk would help the game run smoother… but what do I know as I’m not a programmer or developer
Someone please explain to me why when a screwup by your guys that when the player base is benefited by your boneheadedness it gets fixed immediately and anything that helps the company bottom line, it takes slower than a slug sliding through salt?
LASTLY- CAN YOU PLEASE POST THE BLOG POST FOR THE EVENTS ON YOUR BLOG AT THE SAME TIME AS YOU HAVE SOMEONE OVERANALYZING IT ON TWITCH AND TAKE FIVE TIMES AS LONG TO READ THE SAME M’FING THING!!!!
And can you please have some competent programmer to have actual links that works for your Facebook posts back to your block… as it is almost comical that you have a link that doesn’t work!

This was a very fun MLC, the addition of new events and things to engage us the players was alot of fun. I did not feel bored and was actually very interested to play and see what the next event was going to be like. I also did not feel overwhealmed from having so much new stuff/tours dropping at the same time.
Positive:
THANK YOU…THANK YOU…. for getting rid of the Kick Off Tour unlimited grind. There is nothing more boring and pointless then having to auto clear a match for hours becuase factions feel the need to push for every event. HUGE Quality of LIFE WIN. There is already enough stuff to do daily in the game - and getting rid of this was AWESOME!
Showdown Revamp - Small leaderboard brackets. This was the most fun ever playing showdown, it gives everyone a REAL CHANCE to earn Top 3 and Good rewards (I was league 23/24). I was engaged / watching and playing all the way to the end to stay on top. I also liked that there was 1 day break in between SD Events. It's never fun to do back-to-back.
Picking your own SD and Fued Perks: I really liked having that choice to choose what 4MP color and what 100% Gem Damage buff I wanted in the Fued/Showdown perks. It really was like winning Money in the Bank and we got to decide and 'Cash In' on what made our OWN ROSTER stronger. PLEASE DO THIS EVERY MONTH!
Recap Tours: I LOVED that it was a month long tour. Doing them weekly was not fun at all, as it took a bit of time setting trainers / swap out and change on each node who to use and becuase there were new cards, they were not yet leveled high, so it a bit annoying to squeeze in weekly.
Speed Tour: This was really fun to have a realitve quick/easier tour. The highlights is getting some in game cash and the Chest at the end for a chance to win some good / new superstars.
STIP TOUR BRACKET: So Much Fun as well. Loved this idea, would like to see it in the future. I spent some serious time thinking about my roster and who/how I could try to do MAX damage. Strategy like this is fun. I made it to the final round but finished outside the Top 100 and enjoyed it.
Making the S Tier acheivable for free was a great monthly addition as well.
Idea: How about doing smaller leaderboards for Faction/Flash Fueds as you did with Showdown?? The same people are alwasy going to be the leaderboard TOP DOGS (and that is fine, they earn that), but maybe something can be changed up?
Keep it up - this was a great month. I Just listed to the new July Blog read and love the idea about maxing the SOLO and getting a 6 star fuse up for the B-Tier - this will really help with token/shards shortages.

JUNE MLC REVIEW:
This month felt like one step forward and 2 steps backwards.
Starting with the Positives:The S tier monthly chase poster having 3K Regular shards is something that us players greatly appreciate and is something we have as a community requested for a long time, so it was lovely to see this finally getting implemented in the game.
The new bracket SD system is another feature that us players have loved so far. I have covered my feedback of this in a separate thread so won’t go over it again but anything that makes the competition more fair for the majority of players is always welcomed and appreciated.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end for me.
The shortcomings:First things first, the drop from 8 points to 6 points for each armoury loot coin earned was noticeable along with the sudden drop in the amounts available which was evident from a comparison between this month’s armoury progression and last month’s which was disappointing. Since the time and effort needed is same, the flat decline is not appreciated. This did not help considering the fact that the prizewall had overtly expensive options which did not match with the economy of the available armoury coins.
The amount of evo tokens we could earn- even through the bonus milestones- did not match the amounts need to upgrade the freebie. This is the first time my freebie didn’t even make it to 5 star bronze. While I am not really bothered by this because I don’t really use the B tiers, what I am concerned about is how MLC points are tied to upgrading the B tier, so the inability to take the freebie to 5 stars will make it even harder to max the solo MLC contest. We were told initially that the economy of the evo tokens will match the amounts needed for evolves but that didn’t happen. This was also the first time where the blog did not make the claim that you can take the freebie to 4SG by just gameplay, i.e, for free, which was a tell that we are going to be shortened in the amount of evo tokens. Again, I don’t mind this change per se, but if this is what is going to be the path forward, at least do something to make up for the lost MLC points. Please don’t change one thing which has a crippling effect on the other thing. It is also very difficult to complete the weekend tours with a 2-3 star freebie when you have to face tough opponents.
The availability of the A tier shards this month also seems to be controversial. For the first time ever, the web shop free shards were added to the breakdown of shards in the MLC Blog so as to inflate the amount of shards that one may see on the blog. This A tier was tougher to obtain than any other A tier we have had so far in this meta. The 880 regular shards indicated on the blog to be available in standard MLC Tours include shards locked behind premium posters such as PH Raquel, Immortal Hogan, Omos, Wade Barrett, meaning one has to have premium posters to unlock Bundy through gameplay, which is something that has not been required in the past. The A tiers shouldn’t be needing premium posters to unlock them. This is contrary to your claim of making the game easier for new players.
The replacement of the 6SG loot with a 6SG chest for 4 MLC Emblems is a change that I cannot wrap my head around. Instead of doing 3x pulls, we get ONLY one chest which is like one pull. Why is ONE chest a replacement for 3 pulls? If you want to lower the quantity, atleast make the quality of posters in the chest better to compensate for the lack of 3x pulls. Having posters like Tech Damian Priest in the gold chest has put a sour taste in my mouth. Long story short, this is not an equivalent replacement. It’s more like an adverse replacement which has downgraded the rewards for maxing the MLC.
Speaking of maxing the MLC, usually 5k-6K players max the monthlong contest, but this time around- and I am sure your data will indicate the same- less than 4K players actually maxed the MLC. This time around, premium posters such as Rex Regum or Viscera were needed to collect the bonus 10K points in order to max the MLC. In the past, those were extras and not needed per se to max the MLC. But this time it was not possible for someone to max the MLC just through gameplay unless they were having access to previously spend posters. I barely made it to the finish line. The fact that evo tokens were short as well did not help at all.1
