I think it would be better to use just actual wwe stables or actual tag teams only during the premium showdown events instead of any mixed eras. Give them extra boost for using special stables like nwo or dx or tag teams like the steiner brothers. Thanks

It was nice that Premier Showdown was opened for everyone. We appreciate that. It would be even better if it was more than 3 energy. Give people a chance to experience it for more than a few minutes.

So the 2 minutes I was able to play showdown before the 3 energy we were all sooo fortunate to have bestowed upon us ran out was nice…

  • Premium showdown shows that Austin is required it's not open for me

  • Joshuazappadad
    Joshuazappadad Member

So I didn't realize it was the "premium" that historically we need the chase to compete in. I'm still not 💯 % sure if it was intended or not but it's a nice surprise. Still doesn't change my feelings on energy.

It would be nice to have more than just destroy black and trap gems tasks to earn points.

Gotta say as far as game play, CSS and rewards currency this Showdown has been as good as any, Top tier actually.

The CSS needed were as open as possible. Rather than needing specific posters we only needed specific era posters to do specific tasks a certain number of times. Having the solo and faction score needs somewhat connected made both doable together at times. Love it

Rewards shop looks a little underwhelming at first but the combination of great straps and really great shards actually makes it awesome. Having econ for 10 or 20 coins so you aren't stuck with 1-400 coins at the end should never be an issue. This needs to just be an official staple of all future prize walls.

Being able to participate in the premium showdown was a great change. I admit I missed the weekend walkthrough and don't remember it being mentioned anywhere before hand. I also either didn't notice the big PREMIUM banner or since I was able to just click into the mode and play didn't realize it was "premium". Until the Energy amount became clear and I started looking into why there was only 3 energy did I realize what the deal was. That's on me. There was plenty of information out there that I overlooked which I normally don't do but I still have to wonder how many others overlooked it the same way? How many don't follow the blog? The forums? YouTube? Etc...

All in all the Showdown was a great example of what they should be moving forward. It was able to be maxed with grinding and the bonus rewards for spenders seem fair. Let's try and keep it up.

    In-game Store

    • Great prize wall rewards (premium shards, straps, medals, etc.)

    Tours

    • Very accessible (for the most part). I've taken breaks from the game and still have most of the required superstars
    • Rewards were good especially combined with completing event and showdown objectives and milestones
    • The amount of earnable medallions felt poor (They feel scarce, difficult to obtain rewards off the prize wall)

    Showdown (Premium)

    • I liked that it was open to all players rather than superstar exclusive (gave players some matches before the premium aspect kicked in)
    • Earnable medallions were definitely better and made prize wall items feel more attainable (compared to tour rewards)

    Showdown

    • Rules were good and (at least for the offense) allowed for more superstars to be used especially those needed for contest points
    • Milestones are mostly easy to achieve (recently improved, free and/or week-long tour CSS helped satisfy the milestones)
    • Earnable contest points (through division progression, milestones, etc.) make it easy to achieve the gold chest reward from the SA invitational showdown competition (plus bonus milestone rewards)
    • Medallions in the showdown competition are okay (makes smaller prize wall rewards easily attainable)

    Solo Contest

    • Required superstars are fairly wide in variety (makes it easier to collect contest points)
    • Milestones are great at giving players certain resources (namely coins, evo tokens, shards and token chests)
    • Bonus milestones look great (lots of medallions for whoever can get them)
    • Standard milestones I feel severely lack medallions (2,500 of the 39,000 medallions are from the standard milestone completions)

All in all I think this event was good. The CSS was very open compared to other events, it was nice to experience the premium showdown plus I liked the division rewards being medallions. Regular showdown felt open as well with easily completable milestones and objectives. I can't speak on stability as some of my in-game issues are more device related. Lastly, the medallions felt hard to obtain (through tours, showdown, milestones) and doesn't feel worth the grind of playing for them.

One of the best Showdown events in recent times. Let's see why it's so good.

    1. Premium Showdown Access (great decision to give access to this event by limiting it to league level. 2500 prize wall points is a very good start to the event.)
    2. Large number of tours (many tours, very easy to get required characters, 3-2 matches per tour (except tour with Brutus Beefcake))
    3. Easy faction event (event just closes, simple conditions, not bad rewards)
    4. Main showdown event (great event that can be closed with only free css characters.)
    5. Prize Wall(Personal Prize Wall: Many Shards of Strong Characters, Many Shards of New Characters.)

The only thing I didn't like about this event was the donation pools (again, a huge pile of free characters or a tiny amount of shards (50 shards when you need at least 3 thousand shards to get a character))

Let's sum it up: Great event for busy weekends (average energy recovery rate at showdown, few matches on tours). For f2p players - a great event, for donators the impression is a little spoiled by donation pools. But still I give the event 10/10 one of the best events in my memory.

Overall, this was probably one of the smoothest contests in recent memory.

The change which allowed everyone to participate (albeit minimally) in the premium sd contest was a huge positive. Gave you something to do on Friday outside of a handful of your matches. Playing the game is never a bad thing.

The css for the contest (tours and sd itself) were a solid mix. This allowed players of all backgrounds the ability to play and earn their prizes.

The adjustments to the various perks that specific classes/eras etc receive add another layer to the somewhat boring sd gameplay. Incentivizing defense would be my next suggestion. Maybe giving the defender points towards the css contest for a defensive win would reinvigorate that piece of the game.

The prizewall was great for shards of some recent/more rare characters. I personally walked away with the cena/punk shards to get me close to recruiting them.

Continuing this approach with a couple small tweaks to the contest would make sd my overall favorite gamemode by a fair margin.

    Hello,

In regards to the showdown I thought it was great probably the best one i played so far. These are my reasons.

    1. Lots of energy and ways to get energy. You lot hooked it up this time making it starting with 12. Then unlocking more in milestones and the Disciple tour. All of these ways to get energy made it easy and fun to get my milestones for myself and my faction. Also the 2 energies for 3 mill coins was greatly appreciated.
    2. Easy to achieve milestones within the showdown. Double up on points for characters that are free to play and pay to win characters. Gives a chance fir all players to hit the milestones
    3. Adding buffs for certain eras and characters keeps it interesting and fun

My one issue is that you took away win streak bonus points for notoriety. For newer players like myself it is hard to rank up without it because I don't have all the promoters and the ones I do have take time to max out. When the winstreaks were active I had incentive to buy more energy because I could make good use of it and get better leaderboard rewards. Now I have no radon to purchase energies except maybe the 5 dollar one.

Aside from that I really enjoyed the last showdown and hope you continue doing it this way. I think it's better for the community and will attract more players.

Take care have a good one 👍

the weekend event was actually fine for me. I liked that the premium showdown was unlocked for everyone to get some extra medallions. The only negative I have is that the showdown prizewall wasn’t the best but that’s just nitpicking.

Hi,showdown event was great and we want to see likes these events more.

    1. Energy system upgrade was awesome. It's give superb feelings.
    2. We need showdown events like these with more exciting things, like lots of energy and showdown was fun to play.
    3. Prizewall was also great have lots of new posters shards and many good resources.
    4. Hope we will get more interesting events and tours,we need shards of last 2-3 mlc of posters more , so can recruit them easily.
    5. Good luck and waiting for more interesting events and tours.

Premium was nice for the 35 seconds it was available before we finished the 3 tries. Finished the whole main showdown quest within an hour. If its a weekend event, make it last a bit longer and have more quests and tasks.

Showdown has been great lately. It's able to be maxed without having every bonus wrestler. Good amount of Austin shards as well. Overall a pretty good weekend. Keep it up.

really loving the revamp showdown, it's no longer a paywall like previously which need pay-to-obtain superstars.

Plus the premium showdown which was a very good bonus for all players to play till a certain league.

Overall really a good weekend event.

All in all it was a great event and here is why:

Rewards: Very rewarding for a player who does'nt pay for anything in the game

    Tours: Fairly easy to win

Showdowns: Felt like the medallions were too easy to obtain with little Value to the solo contest

Suggestion: Offer to buy the superstar and make a contest based on him

WHAT?! showdown was very friendly with the tour CSS requirements having many different superstars for players of all walks of life. I would love to see less different tours so we’re not switching around and wasting resources to complete the tours. Not very ideal for someone just starting out. WHAT!!

The premium showdown being available for everyone is awesome gives everyone the chance to get their feet wet and contribute on day 1 for the faction tasks. More prizewall currency is always welcome.

Showdown itself was fun and very achievable if you had a good majority of the CSS. I like the option of using any superstar and giving a bonus for having a harder to achieve superstar like ph Stone Cold or the new trickster Stone Cold. Faction event grind tasks are fun but would love to see more of a variety and less goals to max them so we can all help out while using the css required. Blasts with red gems are easy with PH Stone Cold so double dipping is always nice. WHAT!!!

Prizewall currency seems to be a decent amount. Would love to see more available for purchase at smaller amounts so if you’re 50 shards left for the recruit you don’t have to purchase all 200 shards for that superstar. For example the 200 shards for SB Cena HLR SE at 13k make them available for 3750 for say 50 shards and available to purchase them 8 times or more. I miss the new plates for SD weekend maybe that has changed with the new titles loot pulls being available (which I really like by the way). WHAT?!

The shards seem to have been missing in action. I liked having the grab bags for a chance at a 3sb NEW trickster Stone Cold. Makes it better for those little to nonspenders to have a chance a some luck. Seems like you have to spend a lot to get something good and most of the time not get anything new. The loot was pretty decent with a 7 pull guaranteed you a 6sb but a lot of these guys available in the loot are very old poster and just end up being shards for someone we already have hundreds of thousands of shards for. I would recommend putting in some 50-250 shards of the recent releases (A tier or better) a month or so old. WHAT?!

    Hope this feedback helps. WHAT?!

I enjoyed this Show Down contest. I had stopped playing for about a year so when I came back to the game Show Down was one of the most overhauled game modes. I like the new look and this weekends contest was fun, challenging, but not to hard or impossible. The prizewall was ok, although you made it sounds like those top prizes would be achievable but they where not. I know you guys are a business and here to make money, I have no problem with that, but maybe be a bit more honest about what is achievable from playing the game and what requires the spending of dollars. Other than that was a fun contest. You used to differentiate between playable prizes and Pay to win prizes yall should go back to that in the future. But new Showdown is great. The show down coins I haven't noticed a change at all.

Why do you keep asking for constructive criticism for every single event? As all you do is mostly copy and paste the same events (from previous showdowns, faction feuds, boss battles) with their janky issues and the only difference is changing the bonus superstars needed and the name… as when the player base actually has legit complains that hinders them, it’s ignored for a long time… but god forbid if it affect your bottom line, it gets fixed IMMEDIATELY!!!

That being said, you want constructive criticism, here it is and it’s not just this event:

Please cap Gem and Move Defense as it gets really annoying see my move that can kill AI opponents with ease get EXTREMELY nerfed in SD and Feuds because someone’s RNG luck was better… and to all those who say “just configure your character better”, I do the best I can with what the game’s RNG does for me… so suck it.

Please lay off the steel cage rules. I swear it’s on every single event… and it’s not even creative, it’s just straight up Grade Up Laziness! I bet the players can come up with something WAY better than you ignorant developers can come up with

Boss Battles- disable move animations as time is limited and they eat up so much time. Also, please reduce bosses health as battles aren’t supposed to be slogs due to janky mechanics… and please give us SOMETHING when players try and fail to beat the boss as nothing irks me more than spending minutes to get NOTHING when the boss defeats the players.

Can you also run recycling opportunities more often as even after the last event, my inventory is still filled with junk that’s from years ago. I would think clearing out all that useless junk would help the game run smoother.

LASTLY- CAN YOU PLEASE POST THE BLOG POST FOR THE EVENTS ON YOUR BLOG AT THE SAME TIME AS YOU HAVE SOMEONE OVERANALYZING IT ON TWITCH AND TAKE FIVE TIMES AS LONG TO READ THE SAME M’FING THING!

I thought it was great that most players like myself could Complete all the milestones for the showdown competition. Please continue to make most weekend contests like this. Not everyone has hours to play on the weekends or money to spend.

    Keep up the good work

    Pros:

    • It was a positive to give everyone a chance to do the premium showdown. It was an extra something to be able to do on Friday as well as get some decent rewards
    • There were many different tours which added a good variety
    • The prize walls had a large amount of varied superstars on the walls with shards. It's nice to roll in some of the older characters like Big Poppa Pump and HoF Angle that not everyone has still
    • The showdown progression for points and milestones seemed very fair an achievable
    • The boxes in the showdown milestones had a good varierty of more rare characters and seemingly fair RNG odds
    • I like the new offensive and defensive buffs that differ each showdown. It adds a little more strategy in terms of who best to use.

    Cons:

    • More of an overall comment on showdowns now, but the icons of wrestlemania that add showdown coins have become significantly less useful given the few coins given out and they don't really add to the progression. While more fair overall as you had to pay for the KoK to get them, it is a little frustrating that they aren't useful anymore for the people who put time and resources to get them.

    Overall a good showdown event

  • Cheeseman69

This showdown felt like a mixed bag to me.

It was good to be able to participate in the 'premium' showdown, but this felt like a mistake rather than intentional and I feel a lot of people missed out on this, for it to then only be limited to a certain league. It just felt confusing and wasn't signposted very well.

Faction tasks with destroying certain gem types just feel very counter productive when you are also trying to leaderboard in showdown, it makes the experience less fun, to me at least, as I am trying to help my faction yet also try to maintain wins to leaderboard, which a lot of the time can be almost impossible to do. Maybe some more 'productive' tasks would be better, such as 'play/win a showdown match'

The prizewall also felt very lacklustre, with no plate options, straps feeling overpriced, and the shard quantities all over the place (what's the deal with 400 Penta shards?!), my suggestion would be to make smaller quantities available at smaller prices but be able to purchase multiple amounts instead of the one time offers, just to give more variety.

The main showdown itself was fine alongside the tours were all OK.

A poster wearing a WCW Logo on it, gives me hope we could see a WCW MLC in the future. From the CC videos I saw already, the new Austin seems like a really fun poster. I sure look forward to adding him to my roster in the near future.

I did not have WCW Austin to complete the tours this weekend. I also was unable to do the higher notoriety premier SD, however being able to play it was cool. After 3 matches in premier SD you were blocked without having the new Austin. With that mentioned and how long the premier SD energy refreshes, I don't think I missed out. Sure, the extra rewards would have been nice but making energy refreshes longer and longer is becoming tiresome.

The Standard SD was good. I did not find any issues personally. I did not have every single Contest Poster, but I was able to max the event. This is a perfect example of a great contest. Give enough contest points where if people actually play, they are rewarded. Who ever created this contest, thank you, you did a great job for the players.

In the superstar shard boxes from the bonus milestones, I noticed all I received was posters I already had. As someone who only needs 50 Lyra shards and has been struggling to be able to buy them all the time, this was a disappointment. There was NO reason to have the old Dudley boys shards in that box. I am going to guess the more common shards has a higher chance of dropping then something you actually needed. This is pretty common in key shards as well. I am willing to bet the percentages are skewed, not in your favor. This feels awful. Please review drops rates for future milestone rewards. Thanks.

The prizewall once again has improved. Great job to whoever created this one. 1 suggestion and please, please, please consider this for all future weekend events. Please make basic 4MP posters affiliation straps on the prize-walls. As someone who has been playing for years now, I still do NOT have an affiliation for trickster king(4 Blue MP) and trickster George Steele. (4 green MP) They dont even have to cost much. Please consider. You always have great ult straps and I feel like basic 4 mp affiliation are a forgotten item for some. Thanks.

Overall the event was great. Most SD events work really well. Again, my only issue with SD events is limited energy. I miss the old way. I understand games evolve but in my opinion, SD really did not need a change. Thanks again!

    Experience:
This was one of the best Showdown events in recent memory. The access through league level worked really well, and the event felt fair and inclusive for both free-to-play and paying players. The large number of tours with manageable match counts made it easy to participate. Premium Showdown access was a great idea, and the faction and solo milestones were achievable without requiring exclusive characters. The reward structure was well thought out, especially the prize wall, which had a good mix of shards, straps, and economy items. The increased energy availability through milestones and tours made the gameplay flow much smoother.

    Area of Improvement:

    • - The donation pools still feel underwhelming due to repeated free characters or very small shard amounts that barely contribute toward unlocking a superstar.
    • - One important issue: starting the event with a full energy bar was a problem. Since Showdown began late at night in my time zone, the energy was maxed out while I was asleep, and I couldn’t use any of it for the first 5 hours. It would be better to start players with a half-full energy bar or let them claim it from a milestone when ready.
    • - Lastly, removing win streak bonus points hurt lower-level players. These bonuses provided motivation and a fair way to climb the leaderboard, especially for those without maxed promoters.
