11,000 TNMT Kofi "Michelangelo" shards given out for free!

For all of those players that earned the TMNT moment during the Cowabunga contest, Scopely have sent out 11,000 Kofi shards to help level up that moment.

This is a MAJOR slap in the face to those players who used careful strategy to purchase one of the 6 star posters from the contest prizewall at a huge cost and wasted (now it seems) thousands of star fill fragment and other resource to convert those posters to shards.

Congrats to all of those who benefit from this giveaway, and huge sympathy to those like me who lost the opportunity to take other items from that prizewall.

Agreed - it's also a slap in the face for people who didn't purchase the moment as they would have had no shards to level it - so spent the currency on something else.

I like the reasoning for the gift, and I think that is a good look on Scopely's end.

But I am also in the camp of "Oh so I just wasted money to make sure I had enough prizewall to buy an extra Kofi poster for the moment" so whatever sure I'll play my little violin but it's still incredibly frustrating. I could have used that prizewall on other resources if I had known.

I didn’t select the moment because of the lack of shards. I would have done different if I had known this and that is shards I don’t even have to take Kofi past 6 star bronze. Give the shards to all and another chance to get the moment. I’ll give the plate back.

I agree with the above sentiments. I passed on the moment, because I knew I wouldn’t be able to level it up. I’ve seen responses like “should have gotten it for future use, so too bad”, but that holds no water either. If that’s the case, why send out shards, if people can get them later? What’s the possible solutions? Tough to say. Either send all that earned enough pw currency the moment and shards, or do nothing , which would create a possible unfair advantage for those that were gifted the shards to level moment. Those shards shouldn’t have been given out to begin with, then most wouldnt have any issues 🤷‍♂️

Just saw this news. I sort of understand the decision, it does help those who bought it. Buts its wrong because it harms those who did not get the moment due to lack of shards (like myself).

Trying to be better and not complain too much. So like I said, I understand why you guys did this but this leave a very bad taste in my mouth.
