The Story of Tiffy Time
Comments

+Showdown was fine. Didn't have as much time to play as I usually do but seemed to work fine and free of bugs.
+Enjoyed the Story of Tiffy Time tour and the rewards within the tour specifically.
-The loot and shard bags both were solid. DIdn't get anything but always appreciate a shard bag for guaranteed progress towards posters as an option.

Worst showdown weekend in months. Did we need the 1 hour regen time? This was bad on all levels, prize wall included. At least the shard rewards were semi decent.

I started hating this type of events. And this is the reason for...
Before the beginning of every SD I to check the prize wall and evaluate my chances to get something valuable from it.
And every time I see the prize wall I start calculating:
1. This skill plate cost appr 200$;
2. For this skill plate Scopely want from me appr 400$;
3. And this calculation ends every time with the strong disappointment, because for me, as a 6-year player, with a 500+ roster only rubbish is available every time ... I couldn't even imagine others who plays fever.
I am not able to even imagine what happened the previous month with you, Scopely, that forced you to make this Jade plate achievable for free?!!!
But it could be a nice strategy to give F2p players once per month the opportunity to get ONE (only f...ng ONE) valuable Skill plate for free...
I'm sure that your whales continue feeding you with their fat purses.
But make me to have also interesting in something instead of filling me with disappoint from the very beginning of every event.

These contest take we too much time to complete. Almost making me not want to play anymore. Free to play grinding isn't comparable to the purchase aspect. I get it, got to make money.
What if there is something implemented for people that spend under a certain amount of money and still complete the grinding aspect of playing to be rewarded? As in, you spend under 10 dollars, and you still managed to grind to a certain milestone. There for you get a special reward for sinking all the time in.0 -
It was really exciting to have new superstars to see how little by little the game is evolving more and more. I love the game, especially this event, which is going very well.

On the whole, the event wasn't too bad in execution and gameplay, but much like everything else there is most definitely room for improvement with the overall structure.
So as best as I can manage, I'll try and break down each aspect and what needs improvement out of it:
Faction contest:
While the overall format remains the same as it has been for a while now, I think making it so that the faction contest tasks were capped is not something that should be carried forward due to a number of reasons. For one it severely hampers factions that have members scattered all across the globe or have recently joined a new faction, as by the time they wake up in the morning or return to play later on in the day, the tasks have already been capped, making participation in such events harder to gain points out of (on the off chance that the faction requires mins, which ours doesn't for these sorts of events, but participation is highly encouraged). The second reason is that means that players will actively have to win matches in the tours to receive faction points, which can be easy to forget at times when life gets in the way. In addition if you have inactive players then it makes things even harder to complete milestones without spending, as points are being lost through no fault of the faction.
As for fixes I personally would suggest reverting back to the non capped approach that was in contests prior to this, as it will allow for all members to take part in the event without having to worry about any minimum requirements and will allow them to play at their own leisure.
Showdown contest:
Again nothing fundamentally wrong with the execution of the gameplay, its the implementation of certain aspects that will need reworking, for my perspective at least. The first change to be made is with regards to the energy system, and while I can understand the motivation behind the change I don't think the system is particularly effective. For one it limits the amount of participation that can be completed by anyone and makes so that if you spend more to play, you're pretty much guaranteed to go unchallenged in the showdown. And secondly it limits the amount of resource collection that can be made ftp players and those who don't spend too much money on the game in the form of showdown coins. While doubling the amount of coins available is a good idea in concept, you tend to end up at a net loss most of the time when compared to the previous iterations of the contest.
For fixes I would suggest that if you are continuing with this model of approach (which seems likely) then make it so that the energy that can be bought from the store front is limited to only a few times per gamer, thus no one has an unfair advantage in the contest.
The second change would be to some of the CSS requirements for contest, and quite simply it would be make requirements for more accessible characters towards for some of the requirements. The new Charlotte, Trish and Tiffy are relatively rare for a large portion of the player base (as are Rhea and Sonya to a lesser extent), so maybe changing up the characters to allow more players to reach further milestones (for example maybe replacing Charlotte and Trish with Kairi Sane (Acro) and shotzi or having an nxt requirement or something similar) would be better moving forward.
Contest tours:
I don't really have a lot to say on this one as the tours were well balanced and easy to access as a large portion of the players have a character that fits those requirements in some way. Maybe one slight change would be to allow for more medallions to be obtained in tours over the milestone rewards but that's a minor nitpick.
Milestones:
Again not a lot of complaints for this one, as the milestones were nicely balanced. One thing that was baffling was that it wasn't tiffy shards that were on offer in this event, and I personally think it should have been the case over Julius, but again minor nitpick.
Prizewall:
Again it was a nice lineup of rewards available but again without spending its a bit more difficult for a lot of players to get access to the higher level rewards. Some form of rebalancing to make it easier for all players to reap better rewards might be a suitable idea moving forward.
Loot Pulls:Can't really say anything on this one because I never made a pull of these myself for this contest, but from what I've heard a lot of people had issues with the pulls not being reflective of what was on offer. Rebalancing the odds so the likelihood of pulling a new character for their respective rosters would probably be the best suggestion for this.
Conclusion:
Overall the event was enjoyable for the most part, but the changes suggest would definitely improve the experience for most players alongside myself in the future.0 -
Thank you for removing the stupid grind aspect of showdown,
I actually enjoyed the weekend. I was able to contribute to the faction score without doing any showdown bonuses.
I do hear what people are saying regarding faction miniumums so theres two fixes for this. 1 Factions lower there minimum for this event (as we did for our faction) or 2) You add more tasks but keep them capped. This will allow everyone a chance to do there part. I dont believe it should be limitless to the amount.
Tours
Decent enough with decent CSS
Prizewall
I didnt spend this weekend so i only ended with around 10k medallions which didn't benefit me too much.
Showdown changes
Way easier to max, Although i do have the coin promoters all at 5sg so that helped. I liked the change. Means i could play the game and enjoy the weekend with my family
Overall
Good weekend with a couple of little tweaks needed. 9/10

I think that the only thing that you need to do is probably put more characters available in the bonus points because for the most of players that don't have the especifics characters is very difficult to go further

good job , play the game

Moving the goal posts on the milestones isn't great, the 1 hour regen is awful, it stops me from grinding. You doubled the regen time, but only raised the coins by 50-75%, costing us thousands of coins. This is a big step backwards.

I don't understand why the timer for showdown showcase energy was changed from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Combining that with still having solo contest points in the faction contest made it almost impossible for anyone in non spending faction to get the gold chest in this contest. I've said before that having all those solo contest points in the faction contest is a terrible idea. Especially when even some of the top factions are having trouble maxing it out.

he great got him up 5 star silver and does lots of damage still working on him to 6 star

The ShowDown coin payout was such a welcomed improvement. Thank you seriously. This makes me feel like the time I dedicated was worth the effort. Good job.
I was surprised to see the faction task were limited. Maybe next time those tasks are doubled before the faction is capped. Any acro bonus for solo points, was a nice touch.
I did not end up with Tiffy but the rest of the tours were great. The only thing I would have changed was on the challenge hell mode match, I would like to see a bonus reward to work towards. Other than that, they were great.
The prizewall had a good amount of variety. Only thing I would have changed was for the poster tokens. Being able to only buy 1 set of tokens was a surprise. I hope in the future it's at least 2 purchases.
Overall it was a pretty chill event. No big issues really. Nice work!

- Showdown itself was fine but currently there are not many female characters who are 6SG relevant so having a restriction on defense made it boring when most options you had were limitied to 2 posters (zLiv and Piper). Eventually you could see something different but would require more refreshes than normal.
- I felt we could have seen some sort of faction event similar to last week feud. And this time with gems being capped it didn't feel great. Leaderboard is a nice chance at a rare skill plate but we could see more stuff added.
- Showdown event could be adjusted to match the reality of milestones. 1.7M milestone isn't really free when you're required to have at least one super rare poster. So while if you have it's technically free, it's not really part of the idea where you can reach if you just play.
- Prize wall i thought was nice to have CSS requirements being featured, however i do feel we could see an increased stock to posters who are limited to just 1. Or maybe have an increased shard amount.
- Shard loot would be better if it was exclusive with CSS posters shards (showdown and weekend tours). Some options in there make no sense to be in there. Previous SD options could maybe go into the prize wall rather than loot.
- Tours i thought were fine but i'm once again gonna say i miss the weekend chest where we had a shot at a guaranteed poster recruit.

I liked how many SD coins I was able to get from this contest.

Showdown should be grindable for FTP players thanks for Ozzy

Capping the faction grind portion was terrible. Putting the 700k milestone behind a paywall was even worse. Some of the rewards were better.

overall not that bad, events were limited. Nice to get a free ozzy to start, getting a starter creed bro ( for a reasonable price) was good to build with. But having events with Tiffany only , without be able to get her reasonable amount is still crap. And trying to win her through loot is as bad as winning an actual lottery. We gotta do better with this. If you able to save or spend to get the max pack of an any loot whether it’s 20 or 55 or 69. Your odds to get the main character should be higher than 1% .

I know the idea behind Showdown is well-founded, but it has made the events less enjoyable. Consider trying to give the appropriate points through the daily challenges and tours. It would make the events more attainable.

the Blitz went well just wish purchase characters are not included to gather to max out points on the events.
0 -
What was the point of giving us so many HOF Blitz tickets if the required number of 6 star wrestlers was ridiculous.

All aspects of the weekend were mostly fine. The only sticking point is the amount of prizewall medallions made available without having to spend a fortune for more. A small to modest increase in medallions distributed would make the weekend not feel in vain.

Tours were fine
Showdown was fine
The faction contest was good but I'd tweak it slightly. Give a unlimited task even at a small reward so people can hit faction minimums since not everyone can play right away at the start of a competition. I'd also suggest ending the faction contest 12 hours earlier, this would give people a chance to spend for extra medallions if they are within reach of something on the prizewall.

First SD event in this MLC. Let's look at it in more detail:
Good:
- It’s good that it takes less games and additional points to close a solo event (Previously you had to have a lot more required characters or play matches).
- Not bad items in a clan event.
- Good performance of SD mode (I didn’t notice any crashes, freezes or other errors).
Bad:
- There is no way to get a “Free Golden Chest”. (In fact, you cannot get a free chest even if you complete all the rounds with the required characters. You also need to close the SD event, which was not required before).
- Factional event (More precisely, a way to get points. Why did they set limits on the accumulation of certain gems? Again, the event is only for donatekrs, who can only get a large number of event points).
- Wall of prizes (Disgusting wall of prizes. Compared to previous events, there is actually nothing to take in this one. Everything is too expensive for free players; they won’t even be able to get the shards of most characters, not to mention the dice. Donators can’t get them either.)
- Requirements in SD mode (In fact, only characters from a month and two months ago are needed. Players who donated before are actually ignored.)
Let's summarize: p2w event in all aspects (factional event, SD mode, roads). In which you cannot even receive worthy awards. Therefore, why donate at all? Even if there are no worthy awards. I hope this practice was the first and last time. I give the event 2/10.

Tiffany is a good in ring wrestler and great new character in the game.
Showdown showcase breaking blue, cross break gems was challenging but fair.
Limited time tours was fair.
Good prizewall nice plates and shards.
Overall good showdown.

What I liked:
- Without any grind component to the weekend, changing the energy to an hourly refresh with adjusted scoring is a positive. There is less pressure to use all your energy since bonus milestones are out of reach and there was no faction scoring method. Players can enjoy their weekends and only need to spend a minimal amount of time playing the game.
What I disliked and Suggestions:
- It's frustrating to be locked out from progressing to the 1.8m (and above) milestones for every Showdown. The rewards in this contest should be attainable if you are willing to grind and have the roster and promoters capable of winning enough matches to get there.
- Many players were alienated as they couldn't contribute meaningfully to their faction's progress without spending. If the faction event is going to be spend contest, the skill plate should be guaranteed for the top 5-10 factions, not just a random chance. (I've literally never got a plate from these bags.)
- Compared to other contests, the showdown prizewall is consistently terrible. Grinding everything possible gets you nothing of value. Of course, spending can increase your choices, but value for money is meager in comparison to other contests.

Why tiffany shard is less? After a week just can get less than 1k.

once again the math does not add up to be able to achieve the “free” milestones in SD without having every CSS
0 -
I liked that milestones were easily attainable ,but PLEASE stop doing the "first come ,first to get all the points " limited points like that in faction events just pit faction opponents against each other

Having the faction contest task capped takes out the competitive nature out of the contest. Yes, there was the tie breaker task but that could be easily trumped by spending. If you are going to put a cap on the task, at least set it higher? Maybe have some premium tasks that are higher points and less required, and then have some unlimited ones we can use for tie breakers.
PW - I thought the PW was much better than the months before. Much more selection! Lots of prizes for the smaller guys and I'm sure the higher people enjoyed their take as well. I do not know why the Miz Headband was 25k opposed to 20k for the other non-ultimate skill plates.
I do like the 1 hour refresh timer on the SD energy, allows for adequate sleep! It was Tiffany's release weekend and I hardly collected 50% of her shards for recruit. I got 23/25 milestones in the solo contest and was still FAR off from Tiffany. It did not make me want to spend at the end because I was so far off I knew it didn't really matter…
