why was julius creed nerfed

i saw mherex’s video on creed and immediately purchased the 3ss starter pack to get some extra shards of his. now i see that creed has been nerfed. how can this be done so casually days after releasing a really good card? and what was the reason? he wasnt that OP, was he?
