The faction contest requirements turn SD into a grindfest, except there’s a n energy cap that prevents grinding. The css requirements were just shy of absurd. You needed the rarest character from last month plus two new character last from this month. There is no reason to try and grind anything with the energy and css limitations. It really seems like all the changes you’ve made are encouraging players to play and spend less. I don’t know if it’s just me, but the loot offers and pulls seem worse than ever, value wise. I hope the SD competition gets some kind of fix next month, because this is terrible. The prize wall was better this weekend than most weekends, with a lot of shard options for posters that a lot of people don’t have. The plates required way too much spending, which as mentioned above, isn’t really worth it anymore.

Thought it was a bit too difficult to reach the top milestone, other than that, I think it was quite rewarding.

Miz was impossible to win with unless you had already built him up to like 5 stars. The hitman contest was also bad unless you spent money. I had Nidheart built up enough to beat first level, and I had Davey Boy built enough too, still couldn't get past the 1st level.

And it was impossible to get enough of Mr & Mrs Miz coins to improve her past three stars unless you again were able to buy them. Not everyone can afford to drop a lot of money if any money to play this game. I saw one bundle was like $99.99 are you nuts? In today's economy there's not a lot of people who have that kind of throw away money.

And the superstar showdown? I didn't really bother with it because there really was nothing for me to gain participating in it

Try making events where us free players have a chance. Make two different levels, free and pay. Let the pay people get the better rewards but let us free people be able to complete the contests to get rewards too.

AND explain to me why with the Challenge levels all of them are seto to 30,000? That's not an easy level to beat, that's not a hard level to beat that's not even a hell level. That's a impossible level.

Well, for the first time in centuries this contest was not bad, SD was really good, tour not so good, but no problem.

ps. we need more showdown like this one, with free spots for attacking team

Showdown has always been my favorite game mode. I used to love being able to put together any two posters creating awesome tag team combos that we could only dream of seeing irl. What showdown is today is only a sad reminder of what used to be, what could have been and what should be.. Tag links are all but completely obsolete and useless. The perk system further hinders and neuters your roster to where you can only use the posters the Dev team stears you towards and link bonuses might as well be removed for anything useful at this point.

This showdown in particular was so lackluster that I found myself bored enough to set my phone down mid match several times causing me to time out.

You've made all these changes yet there's still no increase in rewards so the incentive to play can therefore only decrease.

Increase rewards dramatically. Make the ftp chests actually attainable to anyone who's FREE TO PLAY!

First major SD event this month. Let's take a closer look at what the developers have prepared for us:

    Good:

    1. A simple faction event. (It was very easy to score points for this event).
    2. Good technical stability (I didn’t notice any crashes, freezes or other bugs).

    Bad:

    1. Once again there was an error with the calculation of points awarded in the solo event (again in the finals there was not enough even for a golden chest, not to mention other rewards in).
    2. Bad wall of prizes (HUGE dispersion in the prices of rewards. Having almost all the characters in the event, you can’t even get a normal one, not a free one. Not to mention a new character).
    3. Another confusion in the event, just like last month. (Like an event on Miz, but for some reason Bret Hart is required. That is, instead of one required character, we have 2 and it turns out that there are 2 times more premium roads as well as premium requirements. I would like to return in the future to the classic system - one event, one character).
    4. As before, the donation pools are awesome (80% free characters. Maybe it’s worth changing the trend? And putting at least something worthwhile into these pools?)

Let's summarize: With the system of last month, it is very difficult to receive acceptable rewards since the requirements include as many as 2 new characters (one can only be obtained for a donation) and the probability of receiving a second one is minimal at this stage of the month. Because of this, it is very difficult to receive worthy rewards. And why even add legendary belts to faction event rewards? The system of ultimate belts has long been introduced. Maybe they should be included as rewards? I give this system and the event as a whole 4/10.

  • Showdown showcase I liked that it was open for the 1st slot

limited time tours for css were fair, but some players might not have Jim and Bret Hart Foundation. Next time do any Jim and Bret.

Overall, I did claim all free solo points on the portal and did all the tours except for the 24hrs Must see Miz and New Bret and claimed 50k from showdown rewards and was short 70k in the solo milestone to get gold chest. I did notice 100k free claim in the store, so I was able to get the gold case in the solo milestone. That 100k free claim was for everyone to get or from the 10$ monthly pass that I purchased I'm not sure.

The showdown weekend event is getting worse at the point where you cannot even get to the 1.8m milestone anymore. Why not put it as a bonus milestone like the stretch ones? All solo points should be obtainable. If you want to put a shard bag or some other extra goodie in the 1.8m, it’ll solve the problem and put the 700k from that in the 1.5m milestone.

I still love Showdown, it’s still my favorite mode of the game because you don’t rely on other people like feud or Faction Boss to progress, plus I enjoy getting the SD coins for different moments or resources in the shop everyday. People who say we are better with Showdown everyday, is the midweek blitz competition any better? Draining our resources with more TU?

The prizewall was pathetic… Why only put 25 shards of Acro D’Von and only limit of 1? The prizes on this wall was pretty paltry and could use a revamp. Offer more shards of people the players want to see. I haven’t seen shards of Melo or Roxanne or SCSA in a very long time.

The tours were all right, really had to think about how to attack the Miz tour and Maryse tour to get the points. Really, you all should be ashamed putting a 6ss lady in the Maryse’s hell tour.

If it wasn’t for Bret in the loot, I wouldn’t have tried, but finally was able to shard recruit powerhouse Sami Zayn, so it’s a small win.

Without the Showdown Tournament, this weekend is one I wanna forget. Using extremely rare CSS like the big “stretch” superstars from last month and this month makes the game really depressing to play. A reminder that I did not pay to accelerate.

I thought this was a grest showdown. The requirements for faction points were very reasonable allowing a wide variety of people to contribute if they put in the time. There were a number of options for people to use to get green gems and botch gems and put up some points. This new way is so much better than the old "level a 6s" which I REALLY do not like. I always like to use my resources on who I want to build for a better roster. Not just use up coins and TP.

I also found the requirements for the solo portion to not require as many rare people as previous showdowns. Hopefully this stays the same.

I feel like the best part of the weekend event was the prize wall. They are getting better and better in my opinion. Choices for shards or plates or resources. I hope this part keeps going on this direction. To be able to get new additions to my roster is what keeps me playing. Please continue this trend with multiple people's shards available for lesser amounts.

Don't know what to say about the new Bret Hart card, not many people seem to be pulling him. Feels like drop rates for new characters have been drastically reduced across the board.

This event was very unfortunate in that basic math was not done prior to the event to make sure people were able to get the gold chest without spending. We did get those 100k points afterwards, but you still weren't getting there unless you did the CSS for every tour, and had a faction that maxed the Showdown event. Some events give plenty of points that let us get a few milestones above, but the Showdown events are always very stingy. Why is this?

The tours in particular were a problem for a lot of people, requiring the use of old Showboat Miz since not many people have the new one yet. This would be borderline impossible if it wasn't for the Prop trick.

Showdown in theory is fine because I like that they've been open on offense, letting people make whatever team they feel comfortable using. But the CSS requirements to get far in the Showdown event have gotten more and more ridiculous. New Bret required, new Miz required, last month's Rex Regum required? Unless you're a whale you can't reach the 1.8 million milestone to get the 700,000 solo points. I wonder if this is what's throwing off the math, because Scopely expects everyone to have all the rare superstars to hit this milestone.

Prizewall currency was stingy as always. Barely was able to scrape together about 4000 medallions, which was enough to get me 45 Bubba Ray Dudley shards. Wow.

I don't feel like the weekend events are improving any, in some ways I think they're actually getting worse about what's expected of players.

    • I really like Showdown, especially with open requirements and the revamped tailor made Showdown posters with tag and break gem abilities. What i don't like is the fact that we have an event where points are in the "free" portion but to get those you need some uber rare posters. Bret should have been "extra" and not part of the "free". Another thing that kills the game mode is the faction part where you're forced to break millions of an specific gem color/type, having to focus on long matches, setting a poster to do really low damage and rely on stun, that's just awful and the grind is painful. Something like what we have in the solo part "deal damage with x class/era" would have been so much better and would prioritize speed and damage abilities instead of the opposite.
    • If plans don't change and we continue to get this bad idea of slowness and boredom as part of the faction method scores, i think we should have something more meaningful and reward the grind. Have stretch milestones with either prize wall currencies, extra weekend shards or increased resources such as 6SG tokens, coins and TP. Grinding for leaderboard where we have a chance at something isn't good enough.
    • Prize Wall is a great idea with prices that are terrible. While i understand the need to monetize, there are items way overpriced for what they actually deliver. One example is the new Miz skill plate that really only suits new Miz and shouldn't be considered as valuable as the Kross skill plate which helps more than 1 poster. Stock on old posters also could be increased. It just needs some better balance to be a solid feature that players look forward to.

Was a fun event, the grind aspect of the faction event was very welcomed. You could do very well in the event just by playing and could progress further if you wanted with some spending. More like this please.

Overall a 5/10 type event. The basic structure is there but it needs slot of work.

+ plentiful miz shards in the lower paid milestones instead of needing to max.

+ Tour css were fairly decent, slot of ppl already had miz setup from last weekend so they will be good to go.

+The actual showdown itself continues to be nice and open so you can play whoever you want.

-Extremely restrictive css makes the showdown grind almost impossible to do for most ppl. Adding 1-2 additional less rare css will help with fixing that.

-Faction grind was the same one that has been used at least twice very recently.

-Though it was corrected via claim the total points available should have bed. Caught pre release and corrected accordingly.

-Would love to increase or eliminate the energy pool to encourage grinding. More engagement means more sales potentially.

I love showdown and hope that it can be improved on with the above feedback.

I have done all the css tours to get all available points.

I have made it too milestone 13 in the showdowndown competition.

I claimed all the free points off the portal this weekend.

I am at 9,370,000 / 9,449,999,80 points short of the gold chest.

What has changed? This has never been an issue in the past. I have always done this much in past showdowns without having to spend and have never had an issue obtaining the gold chest without having to spend.

I think somebody screwed up in adding up points for this constest.

  • TOUGH REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TOURS AND SD TOURNAMENT ITSELF:

The requirements for this particular showdown were pretty rough. Most of the css of the event were characters you get through paying which I understand that game's gotta make money, but there should be some free to play friendly options as well especially in the tours.

Like the latest tour that was released required "Hart foundation" but all the css were basically pay to get and no option for the more common cards/posters like ph Bulldog for example.

Even in the showdown contest there were requirements that needed the new miz or the new bret hart, again not against that all, but there needs to be something to make up for like ftp as well, for example, there could've been points for "Deal Damage with any Miz" and get points like we had for Bret Hart.

Also we are getting sick of the Miz requirements lol

QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGE FOR PRIZEWALLS

this one is basically for all the events, there should be a slider feature on the prizewall so we can redeem the same reward multiple times in just one click instead of clicking again and again. Example: Suppose I want to redeem the 2 million coins from the prizewall 5 times, instead of clicking and redeeming one by one for 5 times, there should be a slider that allows you to basically say, hey I want to redeem this reward 5 times and then redeem the rewards, 10million coins(2 million * 5) in this case, in 1 click.

MORE EVEN SPLITTING OF POINTS IN THE TOURS

This is perhaps the most annoying thing for me personally in this event. Again going by the example of the latest "Hart Foundation" Requirement tour that was released, most of the points are locked behind the hell node and whatever is in the normal and hard mode is basically locked behind rough css requirements( atleast for me), where if you don't have any of the css you are unable to get anything from the tour. Just because of these rough requirements and uneven splitting of the points, I couldn't even get the second to last milestone of the event.

  • SAking

Overall this event is a solid 5/10. There is alot of room for improvement but it has a solid foundation.

+The showdowns continue to be nice to play in terms of who you can use and how open they are.

+Tours were relatively decent in terms of css needed. Having miz again meant that many ppl likely already had him set from last weekend so it would have been easier for them to play.

+Ample shards for miz located in milestones that didn’t require maxing the contest was very nice.

-The css for showdown was very bad this time around. With only a small selection of superstars it was very hard to make considerable progress in the overall showdown contest. Adding 1-2 60k superstars that were less rare would help alleviate this.

-While the issue was fixed with the free claim it should have been noticed sooner that the point totals were not adding to the free solo max.

-The faction scoring methods are a bit stale, I think we have run this combo 1-2 other times very recently.

Overall showdown is my favorite game mode since it is very easy to do at your own pace. Next one can definitely be improved but this one is a good starting point.

    Feedback for SD Event

    • With the changes to the format and structure. SD which was once upon a time a fun weekend event has just pretty much turned into a grind fest for faction event.
    • The CSS requirements are outrageous asking for newer characters so best I could do is do what I can to get what I can for free and auto-play and grind points for the faction event. It's the best thing I can do with my free time I suppose. I mean at least I don't need to be in front of my device where I just auto-play the entirety of the event.
    • I mentioned previously the Scrimmage is probably a great SD event we had once upon a time where shards for rare characters were made available and weren't over charging you for everything.
    • Solo tours CSS weren't overly restricted on it's requirements and seemed manageable.
    • Prizewall is not that great, got what I can and managed to pick up Dudley shards. Again just a measly portion made available and the way that they're being offered, it will be ages till I see them that is unless I spend…

Overall, another SD where I expected to not really do much other than mindlessly grind faction points as that's the only thing that mattered. Nothing else.

Bret needs more damage. He is not even tier S.
