Final Boss bag issue update (In Game Message)

“Everyone?” As long as you could have actually beat that 6sg, because everyone in the faction I’m in only got it from the final challenge tour node, never before that, then that’d be cool. Otherwise, hell no. Not everyone should get the character from those bags.
And now there is this bs that they’re taking it like you whiners wanted. “To preserve fairness”Where was the “preserving fairness” when all you whiners got to buy 3 bags when tech Cody was released? and they’re statement was “to preserve fairness we’re going to put the offer back up but with a limit of one only and those that bought the 3 previously will not be able to buy the 1.” Yet many were able to buy the 1 as well. How’s that for preserving fairness?
Or how about the clawback? They give EVERYONE a trial character to use for the same tour, so everyone has the ability to do the same fight and get the same reward for the huge amount of tp, but no. “To preserve fairness, we’re going to remove the tp or the bags gained from that tour fight.” From the dusty rhodes trial. Then proceeded to clawback even more than they gave out in those bags. How’s that for preserving fairness?
The one of the only things in this game lately, and by lately I mean the last year or more, I can truly think of that is actually “preserving fairness” was a few months ago during their 7yr anniversary and the kick off week event with the crate fiasco. Where it gave out loaded crates of characters more or less like this bag did. And what did they do… they put out a message saying “so we made a mistake however we are going to leave it up until the weekly reset so go get those crates and here’s some other compensation to make up for that to help with the other competition stuff.”
That’s the way this should have been handle at this point because not everyone can beat a 6sg character easily and those that were able to get it should NOT be punished for it either. Especially since their not going to get the correct amount of resources returned to them either.

Mistakes happen. When the player makes a mistake in the game, and we reach out to support we are normally met with that's just the way it happened answer. I know this was a decent sized mistake, but you just missed a golden opportunity to have additional goodwill for players and PR for the game. You could have easily remedied this by saying everyone will get the recruit rock points and 3-star equivalent shards and there would be very little negativity for this issue. Instead, you choose to take this rare possible opportunity to say we messed up, but we appreciate our players, and changed to here is a big negative and some things that won't replace the superstar we took, but you can play with. This was a prime opportunity to get a buzz in the game and then you could have extended the solo requirement points or something to even out the playing field. Still the big positive would have been a lot of people getting the character which was marketed as a you can get this player just completing goals anyway. I personally spent resources and money getting things need to upgrade him, so you still got more money out of me.
Just overall pour direction and decision making for the player base. I know it sucks that this error was in place, but it could have easily been used as a brief positive move. Instead, you are taking the narrative of the game being solely focusing on squeezing money out of players (which is of course not always the case at all) to a maybe I could drop some money to keep my streak going or I should try and do a little more.
Very disappointing.
Also stop with the " in order to preserve fairness" stuff. That just angers everyone. The solution isn't "FAIR". Its just a decision to fix your mistake with the least affect on the bottom line as possible with ensuring more spending to complete.

Can you confirm everyone who received him did so via a glitch? No one won him legitimately? I understand he is a chase etc but this is on you and for the sake of 1 card it's genuinely not the players fault. We should all boycott the fued

Money talks. People getting Rock wouldnt have to spend to get him. I guarantee these 400 shards are coming out of future content, they are just gonna give them now to make the appearance of compensation. Ask for refunds, negatively review the game on your stores, and most importantly dont spend a dime on anything. Show this company situations like this are unacceptable.

What about all the victory tour rewards?? Those of us who didn’t recruit him gonna have to miss out on those rewards?

Complete and total bullshit!!! You can not code the game correctly and figure it out after the fact and then punish everyone because you made a mistake. What bullshit!!!

Another mistake another bill crap fairness statement. Im one of the people that didn't get him but it's the same as when they messed up during I can't remember the trial character and we got all the talent up bags of 500 and they took them away same thing here taking the character away from the mess up same sh*t different day

Maybe next time help by speaking out about what would be fair to everyone and that's everyone got him instead of talking s#!@ to everyone up here because you were lucky enough to get him from the glitch. Think about more than yourself next time and your fellow faction friends who didn't. Could have used a voice of someone who did get him that still saw it as unfair to others. Your statement "waiting on something new to use my brand new spanking Rock character on" yeah enjoy him a few more hours.

How do you continue to code the game incorrectly and punish the players for your mistake???? I am a coder and before it goes out live it is tested multiple times to make sure there’s nothing wrong and if there is we delay the release. How is this a constant practice and no one at Scopely understands or cares to do this?

Time and time again till I'm blue in the face I waste my valuable time writing out comments about how disappointed I am. We have yet another broken event leaving me asking why can't we can't just have a game that works well and allows everyone to get rewarded for earning stuff by playing the game, not just opening a wallet.
I don't see how this is improved experienced and communications and making me the "beloved player" happy.

5/6/2024 - We were lied to that Andrade would not be a required superstar for the kick-off contest, and then it was changed without acknowledging that an edit was made. Check the twitch/YouTube vs. the blog where they conveniently added that it was only meant for normal mode.
5/7/2024 - HOF Chyna has the wrong tokens
5/7/2024 - Gold VIbes in May - Gold Vibes blitz was bugging out, then removed and added back
5/8/2024 - The final comment of the Scopley Says No Point Shortage in April MLC - No Adjustments Coming
5/10/2024 - This whole Rock Final Boss Fiasco.
How do you (Scopely) know which players did and did not pull the Rock legit, and it wasn't due to the bug? Or is it because can't/won't admit that the bags were rigged to not give anyone The Rock, and this is egg on your face where someone miscoded something?

If taking away the card that you as a company issued incorrectly is your answer to your mistake, then you as a company have bigger issues. It's unfair to punish your customers for your ineptitude to do your job correctly. We do what is asked of us and constantly get the short end of the stick. We pay for pulls that have unrealistic odds of actually getting something good, then when you screw up we're punished again.

How do you want to know who is infected? Ultimately the whales get to keep it and the normal player have to give it up

Fair to everyone? Everyone had an equal opportunity to open those bags at that time.
Also, think about other people? I did. I congratulated all my faction mates that pulled him. Even those that didn't in my faction did the same. This "glitch" benefited my faction and thats what was important to me however, thanks to individuals like yourself complaining about it being "unfair", the f2p players who thought they got a pull didn't. They're ultimately the ones punished.

A factionmate of mine had this to say. I thought it was fitting that I put it here:
To Whom It May Concern:
Scopely, I’ve played your game for just over 2 years now. I’ve invested hundreds, if not thousands of dollars into this game. At the root, this game is as good of any game as I’ve ever played. You’ve often made reference to fairness and accountability, but have fallen well short of either of those. For example, for newer players, they aren’t able to compete since things that players that have played longer have access to that newer players do not. Is there a logical explanation as to why a League 1 player cannot grind more than a League 20 player and achieve the same resources if their willing to do so? You’ve made it easier more recently, but altered other parts of the game that would make it extremely difficult to compete. You’ve made contest super stars consist of newer cards that are only a month or two old and maxing competitions isn’t enough. One must spend several hundred dollars to hit the Bonus Milestones, furthering my point that a new and free to play participant is not going to be able to compete.
On another note, the Ghostbuster and Drip plate are two examples of things that have been removed from the game so no new player has a chance to acquire. Since they’ve been removed from the game, there hasn’t been anything put into the game to replace it. The point is, while you continue to create cards and contests for players to acquire and chase, the likelihood of any player that’s newer and/or not willing to spend a great deal of money, simply cannot compete. Look no further than your leaderboards from month to month. It’s pretty much the same. I would challenge you to look at how much is spent because spending specifically caters to how competitive you can or cannot be in this game, which leads me to my next and final point. Over the past several months, your development team has made several errors and you continue to preach fairness and competitiveness. In the examples provided above, is that fair for newer players to never have the ability to acquire resources needed to compete? If so, how? Also, can you describe, in detail how you’ve been accountable? More specifically, the errors you’ve made have been provided inconsistency with how you’ve chosen to deal with them. Sometimes people get to cash in on the error and at other times they don’t. In other words, you’re preaching fairness and accountability, but again, I’m challenging you to do both.
In conclusion, I enjoy many aspects about WWE Champions. However, what I’m no longer willing to tolerate is constant errors that lead to lip service and the lack of accountability. I hope for every person that like me that chooses not to continue participating in your countless errors that ruin the gaming experience, you’re able to find 10 others that will, but not only will you lose my time, energy, and desire to play your game, you’ll lose my financial resources as well. I wish you the best in your future Scopely, but it’s evident to me that I can no longer allow you to use me as a pawn in that future.
This was a bad call.

Fix your coding and preparation prior to the event. It is not the players fault you didn’t do your job prior to the event going live. If I make a mistake in business guess what it costs me money, if you make a mistake then it should cost you money. There is no difference.

So the actual benefit of getting The Rock thanks to the glitch is the 7 extra medallions and the Victory Tour rewards, since there's no mention of any of those anywhere. Go grab them while you can folks!

do you guys messed up big time and the ftp players like me actually get a good superstar dump all kinds of talent points coins tokens to get him up and now you wanna take said superstar here’s sorry rewards you guys have to be the baddest game developers I’ve ever seen and so money hungry and greedy you guys have bigger issues in game you just don’t want someone so cracked to beat your precious 6sg players I honestly think you jacked up own up to it and don’t destroy someone’s outlook on the game I think I’m done with the piece of shot game other players who are yelling they didn’t get him are more than likely people who spend so much money a month you guys wanna make them happy or your game would go broke screw this I’m out

Why do they remove the rock? If there were so many mistakes that they decided to leave the fighters or other resources... then are they saying that this "opportunity" to get The Rock in their bags for free is totally rigged? fraud?
