Free claim on the left side of the screen??

So I just got the msg about the free claim on the left side of the home screen. Does that mean I missed out yesterday?

Thats nice to know now. Why wouldn't they put the rewards in the same place they always are? Or at least say "hey we put the rewards in a different place, hoping you will miss them". Obviously I'm not alone if they had to send a msg out today telling people. What a joke.
