I use equipped moves to help determine opponents. Now that this is apparently broken, I am getting ambushed and losing many matches that would not have happened normally. Quite frustrating and ruining as well as limiting some of the game play. Big thumbs down so far.

Appreciate the update & efforts to make this game better. But there are many things I don't like about the new Showdown-

    1. Matchmaking is very bad for new & low level players. I am constantly getting matched up against opponents that are way more stronger than me. IMG_20250327_194038.jpg

There is no chance of me winning against these teams & I have to spend too many coins to constantly refresh the opponents.

    2. The new UI looks good but it is overly complex & makes navigation cumbersome.

3.The only 6 star I have is showboat Kevin Owens & I don't have any 6 star female. So whenever I use Kevin my talent gap exceeds 30% & my team gets debuffed. It's like game is penalizing me for using my strongest superstar. Also the game doesn't give any details on what debuff I am getting.

    4. No extra points for win streak

    5. No navigation arrows on battle screen to change opponents. Also no refresh opponents button on battle screen.

    6. Showdown screen displaying incorrect opponent moves. I lost couple of games because of this.

    7. Rewards aren't good enough & no changes have made to showdown shop.

These are only few things I've noticed & didn't like. This is frustrating. I hope you'll address these issues soon.

    Thanks!!

The moves of opponents shown before the starting of match and the actual moveset of the opponents is very different and misleading.

Showdown was one of the easiest modes to navigate, now it has been made overly complicated for a reason that has yet to be revealed. Features like your own notoriety have been hidden on a different page.

You guys keep tinkering with things that aren’t broken, but ignore the things that are broken.

I hate everything about this new SD. Even the look of it. Also hate everything about extreme rules. Tried to be as constructive as possible. Hope this helps!

1: The new update interface is very difficult to see because the font size is smaller than before

2 Incorrect display of skills and straps in new SD

scopely once again take 3 steps back and making the already shit game mode worse, the debuff is beyond stupid.
Game mode just became way more pay to play.

If this is their attempt to make this game “competitive” then that’s laughable at best, predictably trash at worst. Honestly might quit the game if it keeps going like this.

Same here. Not a fan of the new showdown. Please change it back as it was!

  • DrWhargoul

So far not a good update.

Opponent info is incorrect so you can't plan matches.

You can't scroll between opponents, you have to back out of each one.

The bonus for consecutive wins seems to be gone.

I am not getting points for the botch gems I break (yes, they're my own)

It's harder to see what rarity level opponents are at because the single star with a number is too small.

The health pack button is too small.

Worst of all, you left the idiotic energy system in place. If you did nothing else to the showdown but removed the stupid energy, everyone would have loved it. So the one thing everyone hates, you keep, you make the system more difficult to navigate, you ruin the look, and you break some things that weren't broken.

I have a bug to report as well as feedback.

BUG: Opponent's movesets are not always accurate (very difficult to properly choose who to attack as a result)

FEEDBACK: If there is no protection against being repeatedly attacked in Showdown, there needs to be some sort of correction to the game mechanics made…

SUGGESTIONS: A: Remove the energy restriction and allow players to continually battle for notoriety. B: Allow players to earn notoriety from defensive wins. (I was one notoriety point away from the next reward when I ran out of energy last night. Despite numerous defensive victories, I lost over 1000 notoriety points overnight.)

so few things that really need fixing before next sd event

    1. When clicking on opp moves they need to show reel moves

    2. There need to be more “open” choices/era/classes when tasks need to be finished

    3. Maybe in future if the need for steel cage in sd maybe ban only either plates or entourage maybe even for instance only ban 1 plate type or only ban either trainers or coaches

    4. Please if so many tasks needs to be done make em open from day 1 so people can choose what to go for

    5. Is it possible to get more energy when so many tasks need to be completed besides buying energy in store

    6. There still need to be some adjustments to matchmaking

The biggest problem I had with the new showdown was that my opponents moves were not the same as they were listed in the match preview. I would have my characters set up for a perfect match then end up loosing because my opponents moves were different. Sometimes this caused a reversal and wiped me out. Eventually I had to guess at what moves my opponent would be using.

There were a lot of tasks to complete for the contest rewards. It was extremely had to get the tasks done since the first position was locked with Zombie characters.

I’m 90% certain that the moveset differences are because we’re seeing the offensive setup while we actually fight the defensive setup (though I’d be surprised so many players have a different move layout beteeen the two).

otherwise, the energy thing bugs me the most - it greatly depletes the number of times we can play each day while the rewards aren’t noticeably cheaper. As a result it will take a heck of a long time to get the resources to get something sizable (which was an issue from before that I presumed the new milestone reward system was designed to fix).

I can’t figure why they’d settle on giving energy a set daily full replenishment but then limiting it to three. I could be cynical, but instead I’ll say that it makes the Showdown a daily chore to grind in a few minutes rather than a dynamic ongoing event.

Also having so few opportunities to fight sizably limits one’s ability to countermand defensive losses. Honestly, I would love a bonus for defensive wins and that’s it - there is no benefit for punishing players just because someone stronger randomly drew them as an opponent.

You’ve completely ruined Showdown. It’s turned into a pay to play event by reducing our energy and doubling the refresh time. This is such a blatant slap in the face to players. How can you possibly describe this as an improvement? Not only this but combining steel cage rules (which is awful) on top of the decreased capacity to play Showdown is so incredibly anti-user friendly. You realize you can make more money by being user friendly as opposed to obviously just being desperate to gouge people’s pockets?

I’m not sure how much of an advantage the promoters are. Seems a lot less than before.

Plus seems like there’s not really an advantage to find someone higher in notoriety.

PLEASE add notoriety ranking of yourself to the battle search page. It’s still annoying.

Moves are showing incorrect for opponents builds still! When you view their moves it shows a tricolor build one of each color.

There should be an advantage to winning defense matches. Every time you win, you should be given an energy to collect. This way there’s an incentive to having a high defense.

Generally speaking, I think you guys are going in the right direction with the changes. The game has been too easy for far too long. It will be nice to have some variety and some challenges.

That being said, I think the execution has definitely been lacking, and as a result the communication has been poor or non-existent.

I think you changed too much all at once and it’s just really overwhelming. I trust that you’ll balance and resolve things over time, but hopefully the lesson going forward should be to roll out new features in phases so people understand what is being changed.

As just one example - the Rhea Ripley showdown had armory coins as the match reward instead of showdown coins. That could be an appealing change on paper. But nobody knew it was coming and thus nobody knew if showdown coin promoters would work. Then the UI was showing Dominik Mysterio boosts even though the showdown was F/F.

The rewards have been out of balance as well. While I like the idea of fewer matches for the same rewards, that’s not what this is. 10 showdown coins or 170 armory coins for winning a match is basically a waste of time. I’m only mentioning this to reinforce my comment about too many things changing at once.

Sd has become time off for me personally. It’s not worth the time or effort anymore. The cage rules on every event was more than annoying, a few events here and there would have been fine but the overkill with every event wore thin quick. I’m finding myself losing interest a little more in the game overall. Haven’t bothered buying the card at all for the last 3 months and I get through their requirements in the month just fine. I spend 1/10 of what I did 6-8 months ago. The more the game depreciates the players abilities to enjoy grinding out points the less likely I am to purchase anything. We don’t even get the unlimited blitzes anymore which a lot of players enjoy, having a million tickets means nothing cause you can’t use them….BUT….we have 3-4 days of kick off that no one wants. No solo LB for the grinders who do put in the work…..this game used to be fun….I miss those days

i hope you devs will watch and read this comment.

SD revamp is badly designed now. Before revamp F2P could reach last leagues and last milestones for the simple fact that a victory was 100-200 points, and the tougher the opponent was the more points you were earning from a victory. Now whatever is the opponent you win at most 50 points. You cant sustain your point on new SD, ended up doing all battles to keep getting lower and lower because your defense team keeps getting one shot. You even sometimes earn less point with a victory than you lose with a defense loss. That cant be, needless to say reaching milestones is impossible regarding the difficulty of the opponent, you only have a very few options unless you spend 1000 $ a day and have all the characters built and ready... SD revamp is a no go. Need a rollback or revamp the revamp, but in the actual state it s a no go

This sd is bad so bad that it's very nearly pointless. Fighting other players without knowing what setup they are using is very confusing along with the random buffs along with all these cage rules every single event is just ridiculous plus not being able to quickly add promoters without going into manage superstars is whack it needs to be like faction boss where there is a quicker way of adding promoters. Plus if your going to add something like cage rules perhaps a survey to the players after you've done a cage rules event to help with hearing how the players feel about the cage rules would have been appreciated by the community would be a more considerate way of doing it before implementing cage rules into every event because from what I've heard there aren't many players that actually like these changes and from my point of view it's way too much every event . Also the lack of energy for fights every 2 hrs for 1 energy is too long if you think this will encourage people to purchase energy to play and progress for the event with poor rewards. Also certain things you've changed has made it a lot longer to set characters up in sd you used to be able to flick left or right to switch to your other tag partner now you have to go back into manage the other superstar to set everything up too many clicks and loading just a lack of thought gone into some of the changes. What you could also do is sort the tag links out so that they all work i.e ring royalty and any other links that have not been finished

    Screenshot_20250403_081748_WWE Champions.jpg

It doesn't give you the description of what it's doing. king macho is a contest character for tagteam sd but has no tag link available . It's just something pointless that's in the game and don't work that should have been fixed a long time ago.

We were told that the old SD Coins were going away, they even set up a special shop and gave us over a month to spend them. Your coins being gone is your own fault.

That being said, as mentioned A LOT above, new SD is not great. I don't feel like I'm getting any value playing it and the promoters, especially the SD Coin promoters, are basically useless now. I know this has been a large project and there's been a lot of time working on it, but it definitely fell short.
