    So about this Bundy showdown..

I am happy that you have put the milestones coins in the prizes area of the showdown only ? ? ?

Why would you only give 1 coin every 7 hours after the first 3 are used ?

It makes game play very difficult and insane to try to obtain the best out of the showdown.

I do however enjoy the fact that while most people can play the game and be cheated out of the prizes in the game just like before when I stopped playing under a different name .

I feel like the grerse is really flowing to have people spend more money to get the energy cans which I'm sure that scopley would say " oh no that's not our intention" ....

This has got to stop first you take the 6 energy drinks 🍷 cans away in the regular showdown mode now you expect us to or don't expect us to perform in the game to claim the prizes with only 1 can per each 7 hour time span and lose our momentum and progress in said showndowns it's a game yes only when you offer a chance to obtain a top card and grerse the wheels so we have no traction and have to restart our progress that's way way unfair to the players ....

Please restore the old days where we actually got a point in and kept our progress on the showdowns...

Firstly let me start by saying that giving players the chance at getting one of the new plates from a tour was a nice touch I really hope you do this a little more often. Unfortunately for the rest of the event over the weekend it feels like you just keep the chance for players to get anything decent of the prizewall out of reach again just like the feud prizewall you have 900k points in the bonus milestones which players will need to get enough just for the cena shards if this is the plan for prizewalls going forward what’s the point in even playing the events. I’m not asking for everything on the prizewall to be available but the fact that being in a decent faction having a decent roster and you can’t even earn 10k prizewall currency over a weekend is just a let down. Again I get there is a balance you have to keep to try and keep all players happy but I just feel like the current system isn’t it. I really hope this improves going forward we have two more weekend events left and I really hope they aren’t the same as the first two events.

This is from a prior blog post: We’re putting the spotlight back where it belongs: on funfairness, and strategic domination. Your feedback drives our decisions.  *busts up laughing* that is the biggest bold face I have ever heard from Scopely as: Why do you keep asking for constructive criticism for every single event? You never listen as all you do is mostly copy and paste the same events (from previous showdowns, faction feuds, boss battles) with their janky issues and the only difference is changing the bonus superstars needed and the name… as when the player base actually has legit complains that hinders them, it’s ignored for a long time… but god forbid if it affect your bottom line, it gets fixed IMMEDIATELY!!!

That being said, you want constructive criticism, here it is and it’s not just for this event (as you don’t even care to listen to the player base and I’m following from a page in your own playbook by just copying and pasting myself):

Please put a cap Gem and Move Defense as it gets really annoying seeing setups that can kill AI opponents with ease get EXTREMELY nerfed in SD and Feuds because someone’s RNG luck was better. I faced opponents with 150 up to 300%+ gem and move defense, HOW IN THE WORLD IS THAT FAIR!?!?! (Oh wait… I know, It’s Scopely’s not giving two F’s on what a low spender like me thinks). Oh and to all those who say “just configure your character better”, I do the best I can with what the game’s RNG does for me… so suck it. Also, please give the AI random medals in stead of the best stuff because it gets really annoying seeing them with top stuff while I’m dealing with trash due to RNG as that’s straight up lazy programming.

Please lay off the steel cage rules. I swear it’s on every single event… and it’s not even creative, it’s just straight up Grade A Laziness! Also, if there’s a limitation for players, PUT IT ON THE AI AS WELL!!! I think it’s complete bs that players can’t use some combination of belts, medals, trainers, or entourage BUT THE AI CAN USE EVERYTHING… SERIOUSLY WTMFH?!?!?! I bet the players can come up with something WAY better than your ignorant developers can come up with.

Boss Battles- disable the move animations as time is limited per turn and they eat up so much time. Also, please reduce bosses health as battles aren’t supposed to be slogs due to janky mechanics… and please give us SOMETHING when players try and fail to beat the boss as nothing irks me more than spending minutes to get NOTHING when the boss defeats the players.

Can you also run recycling opportunities more often as even after the last event, my inventory is still filled with junk that’s from years ago. I would think clearing out all that useless junk would help the game run smoother… but what do I know as I’m not a programmer or developer

LASTLY- CAN YOU PLEASE POST THE BLOG POST FOR THE EVENTS ON YOUR BLOG AT THE SAME TIME AS YOU HAVE SOMEONE OVERANALYZING IT ON TWITCH AND TAKE FIVE TIMES AS LONG TO READ THE SAME M’FING THING!

    so about the Bundy tour

I really like that a lot of the faction and solo contest had overlapping requirements it has helped us gain higer faction rank.

I do not like how little medallions are in the tours and the faction milestones. I am lucky enough to spend a little but if I didn’t I would have struggled like my faction mates.

please make the game more competitive and keep the fun.

also please bring back ghostbusters or reskin the SS and plates.

The King Kong Bundy Showdown Competitionhas actually been exciting I've been grinding my butt off since it started and the rewards haven't been as awesome as expected but there is a lot of things to do like beat other opponents with different types of opponents which makes this Competition more challenging than most. Only if the rewards were better then this would be great

Also isn't time that Scopely drops an actual EXCITING Promo code that will keep us players excited like idk FREE 6SB Hulkamaniac HULK HOGAN.. Just a great thought

I like how we were able to get a new skill playe but the blitz for newer players is just impossible having rhea with tier 6 medals was just unfair and so many people missed out because of that. Also prizewall was very average this weekend we have seen some really good ones lately and this past one fell completely flat and was disappointing in the future I'd like to see more reasonably priced shards and plates. 20k medallions for an ok plate just isn't worth it it would also be nice to have chase shards of the dual mp trainers as they chamge the game for those who have them and make life so much harder for those who don't.

    POSITIVES:

Inclusion of “bonus” shards in early bonus milestones:

It's great to see 45 Michelle McCool shards available in the early bonus milestones. This drives incentive to grind a bit extra and allows players to close the gap, leaving room for minor errors.

One free reinforce gem plate in tours:

Getting a shot at the new plates with some effort is a welcoming feature. I hope to see this in future events as well. Reinforce plates were in demand, so it's good to see them added to the game.

Premium SD being open for all:

It's nice to see the return of this feature, which was appreciated by many. The premium SD not being premium anymore and being open to everyone was a highly requested change by the community.
Kudos to the team for continuing with this.

    NEGATIVES:

Number of medallions in the “Tune-up” SD:

    Compared to last month's friday
SD, the amount of medallions available seems to have dropped from approximately 3,000 to 2,300-2,400. While not drastic, this change is noticeable to players who track progress.

The accessibility of the Gold Chest in King Kong Showdown Competition:

For the first time in my 2 years of playing, I didn’t reach the gold chest just by completing the free SD tasks and collecting all the league based points. I was eventually able to reach the chest but that was with some extra grind- something that has never been needed in the past to reach the gold chest which is always advertised as “free to play”. It’s understandable that you don’t want everyone to max the contest but it appears like you over-calculated and over-tightened the availability of the said points which is going to leave a sour taste. Making the gold chest harder to reach as compared to previous iterations of this contest runs contrary to your commitment to make this game friendly to newer players. I hope this is something you will look into. Others have also complained of this on the official champions discord server.

    The Prizewall:

    One word: lackluster
You know you have failed to meet the expectations when even the official content creators are making videos on prizewalls and expressing their displeasure. Either the items are obnoxiously overpriced or the options are severally limited thanks to the economy of the medallions. 20K medallions for two tier 6 medals is laughable. Except a few of the shard packs, everything else- from resources to straps- is overpriced. 35k medallions for an A tier contest strap when it has been available for 20k in past months makes no logical sense- especially considering how underwhelming the A tier is this month.

    Suggestions:

While it’s nice to see you offering A tier poster shards on prizewalls for those who may have missed them previously, it’d be also nice to see a bit more diverse offerings when it comes to shards. You have not offered Mercy’s shards in over 2 months. There’s many S and S+ tier poster shards that players would love to grind and spend towards if you offered them on the prizewall.
Cut down on the costs of tier 6 medals and contest straps on walls. There’s no incentive to spend 20-35K medallions on these items when you can get straps and medals for free through other means.
I like the overall structure and design of the new SD over the old one, so no complaints from my side on that front, but the sudden change in the accessibility of the gold chest will throw players off guard and make them not want to play more, so I hope the math isn’t too off in the next iteration of this contest.

This was another tough weekend and it really wasn't enjoyable.

    Reasons why:

Solo contest points were locked away in the faction event. I'm part of a faction that is at about 130th in ranking (and happy with the community, vibe and people) and we only achieved 2 milestones. And both of them felt like a massive grind.

I do think it's bad to have solo contest points stuck in faction contests. It's a solo contest, so it shouldn't be determined by factors outside of your control.

Also having few milestones that have high points thresholds is disheartening. Instead of 5 we could have had 10-15 with the same rewards spread across. That makes it easier to get incremental gains and for people to feel more positive when grinding out showdown battles.

CSS for the showdown contest were also difficult, they aren't the best superstars that we have to use to get the points (which generally people don't have levelled up) and we're having to go up against the best 6sg opponents. It just makes things hard and not enjoyable. The showdown changes have been good for general showdown play, but completing CSS is harder and less enjoyable than ever.

In addition the prizewall is very lackluster. A few more options for mid tier players would be good.

I did appreciate the free skill plate from the tour, that's a good change and it's always exciting to get something good.

But it doesn't make up for the poor experience of the contest.

Really can't understand why the Gold Chest was so hard to hit in the solo portion. I did all but the Bundy tours with the bonus characters and got the gold chest in the SD specific event with a little spending thrown in. Normally this gets you into the bonus milestones.

So, I wanted to take this opportunity to talk about the prize walls. There was a month where there were different items each week on the month-long prize walls. The weekend events also had better valued items that were obtainable. Can we go back to that? I feel like it has been a step backwards the last few months, and I'm not sure why. I hope that you take this criticism and make changes. I know that I'm not the only one who feels this way. I should have gone on here earlier, but partially I was lazy, and partially I was giving you the opportunity to course correct. So, now I feel like I have to come on here to ask for that course correction after another lack luster prize wall.

Wasn't the biggest fan of this showdown. The million dollar corporation CSS wasn't as easy as one may assume. The other CSS were of the rarer variety leaving the only way to get points was by purchasing pulls. This left me about a million points shy of the gold chest. The saving grace of the entire event was the absurd prices and Limited items available. Basically just a great weekend to restock some econ or try to get that multiple posters strap you've been rolling for

First I like to say is the King Kong Bundy is great for Legends Era and I'm glad he's in the game.

Showdown Competition: Showdown was challenging to max. BAM BAM, Viscera, Great Muta and Bundy was all rare characters.

Limited time tours: Tours for CSS was fair

Prizewall: Prizewall was good lots of shards and plates is always needed.

It wasn’t the very best or engaging SD event. The event itself is excluded and having rare superstars as CSS made it even more difficult for players to maximise their chances. There are areas where the event could be streamlined and improved to enhance the experience, particularly for newer or F2P players. Below, I’ve outlined key observations and suggestions for future events.

First things first, The decision to make the premium SD available to all players is a fantastic step toward inclusivity. I hope you guys continue this inclusive approach in future events, perhaps by adding more tiered rewards. It allows everyone, regardless of spending level, to participate and contribute to faction tasks from day one. Ensures that all players can engage with the event’s core mechanics.

The Showdown itself was enjoyable and achievable for players with a solid CSS lineup, and the bonus for using King kong bundy added significant value. However, the faction event grind tasks, felt overly demanding due to the high number of points required to max it out. This also affects the solo progression, especially F2P players, reaching the gold chest often required an unprecedented level of grinding, which left some players feeling that the point requirements were overly restrictive.

The tours caters different CSS superstars which is a great way to encourage roster diversity, Another great way would be, grouping these superstars by class or era could simplify the process while maintaining variety. Including a free plate chest in the tours was a standout feature, especially given the high demand for these items. This addition made the event feel rewarding and gave players a tangible goal to work toward, enhancing the overall experience.

The amount of prizewall currency provided was decent, but the overall medallion count felt underwhelming and inadequate. The lack of smaller shard options also made it frustrating for players close to recruiting a superstar but unable to afford larger bundles. The pricing of items was just totally absurd rather it’s the Tier 6 medals or 20K-30K high boosts straps for the contest superstars seemed inflated.

Atlast, This weekend showdown event was decent but many positive elements, particularly its accessibility and the inclusion of reinforce gem plates. However, streamlining the tour structure, balancing faction task requirements, and refining the prizewall economy would make the event more enjoyable and rewarding for all players, especially newcomers and F2P users. By addressing these areas and building on the event’s strengths, future events can deliver an even more polished and inclusive experience.
