Hey Champions,

We’ve heard your feedback loud and clear, and we’re rolling out big changes to make Showdown more rewarding. Whether you’re just stepping into the ring or climbing the top leagues, this update brings more Showdown Coins, faster progress, and better value for every player.

TL;DR: Showdown Just Got More Rewarding

If you’re playing regularly, you’re going to feel the difference.
More coins, faster progress, and better value all around.

Let’s break it down:

  • More Coins for Every Match
    • You used to earn just 50 coins per battle. Now? It’s 200.
    • That’s FOUR TIMES (400%) the rewards just for showing up and throwing down.
  • Leveling the Playing Field
    • Players in lower Divisions will now see a big increase in Showdown Coins earned daily, helping newer Champions earn more coins for the Showdown Shop.
  • Daily Rewards Rebalanced
    • To keep things fair and focused on active play, we’ve slightly reduced the daily Showdown Coin rewards by about 40%.
    • It’s a shift that rewards those who battle and keeps the action flowing.
  • Coin Promoters = More Value
    • Using Showdown Coin Promoters in Showdown just got even better with these changes.
    • More battles, more coins, more progress, it’s a win-win-win.

    It's concerning to me that not only does this need to be pointed out but that I'm the first and only comment being made about these inaccuracies here. So if I'm just completely off and having a mid life senior moment please tell me. These are just my opinions, I voice them only to help make the game better for everyone and to understand the direction the game is moving in more clearly.

    "More coins for every match".

    Am I really the only one who remembers getting 2000 coins plus promoters bonuses per mach? We now receive maybe 25% of that per match? That's with promoters.

    "Leveling the playing field"

    Since I would have to consider myself the lower tier of top players and obviously a veteran, I can't personally speak to whether or not "newer"players are earning more coins daily compared to the original numbers but I can assume they're not. Especially being handcuffed by energy and early game health pack conservation.

    "Daily rewards rebalanced"

    If "rebalanced" is a nice way of saying Nerfed well than ok I guess this is true. Rewards reduced by 40% compared to what numbers? The Old daily reward numbers? After the nerf? Or now after this adjustment? For me this was never an issue just something I'm seeing play out almost in real time that I don't feel should have ever had resources out into. Game mechanics, server stability, stale store rewards. These are issues to be dealt with not the economy. (Again this is all just my opinion)

    Coin promoters = More Value

    In my experience so far this just isn't true. It used to be but right now I feel like the notoriety promoters and reaching milestones earns me more in the long run. I definitely used to receive way more coins per match and overall using the coin promoter's but atm it is definitely not the case.

    I do want to include that I absolutely love that rewards other than SD coins are earned while climbing the ladder. It makes the overall SD game mode feel more rewarding while you're playing. The SD store rewards are definitely better compared to just a month or two ago especially ultimate plates and the S & S+ tier shards. As long as these aren't allowed to go way past a couple of months without another complete change will put us right back to where we were. So let's keep the reward changes current and updated

    Hopefully I can get some clarity on a few things here. If it helps me and just one other player have a better champions gaming experience it has been worth my time to stop and ask.
