Steel Cage Rules gotta go.
I’m not alone in this feeling and we are all very aware of that. Champions had a fantastic 2024 and we were on a fantastic trajectory. And then we hit a brick wall known as steel cage rules. The community HATES steel cage rules. They aren’t fun at all just annoying. They take away things that the player base grinded or spent money for. Now granted I was willing to give Steel Cage Rules the benefit of the doubt for awhile, until I saw the rules as seen in the picture below. That puts the BIGGEST unnecessary barrier to entry on a tour to your player base. That is just some straight up BS. It’s time to take steel cage rules and bury it out back. Because again YOUR community HATES Steel Cage Rules. They didn’t work out let’s go back to drawing board please for our sake.

Agreed 100%, and I'm PRETTY sure the reinforce gem tour as is is literally unwinnable. I have 6sg max level 100% strap fury 2 SB Seth (in other words the best reinforce character in the game) and he barely even scratches even the first node of Hard. This is literally THE worst tour Scopely has ever created, and um…trying to be nice, if anyone playtested these, they didn't do a great job. Nerf these debuffs HARD or I'm pretty sure people are going to start quitting the game left and right, which nobody wants.

REMOVE STEEL CAGE FROM THE GAME. Devs have been putting it in every single gamemode. This extreme rules tour with steel cage is literally unwinnable. This is too much, we love the game but devs don't care about playerbase AT ALL.
And why are the mlc emblems removed from extreme rules tours? Devs are casually nerfing progression to show how much they care for us

this has to be the worst implementation of steel cage yet.
dont get pinned or you can not kick out.

this steel cage set up is AWFUL.. im all for the occasional puzzle.. but to de buff BOTH gem and move damage if its not absolutely perfectly whats allowed is just anti fun.. the rewards are not increased for the extra time these tours will now take.

Who the heck thought that putting Extreme Rules and Steel Cage restrictions together would be fun? It's like trying to win matches blindfolded and handcuffed.

It was an error that reinforce gems were the only damage source and this is being fixed.

Error? When I was playing at the time of reset, I was getting pop ups about how I have equipped moves that are going to deal zero move/gem damage. In the match itself there was text on the moves that said “zero damage”. It was intentional otherwise they wouldn’t have coded it that way.
In game mail said that having everything in Extreme Rules do 0 damage was not intentional, yet they made special graphics for moves that do 0 damage🤷🏻♂️You are not fooling anybody here, buddy.

It really didn’t look like an error. I appreciate you’ve been told to say that but as others have pointed out, there were gem break graphics, pop ups and clear instructions. I’m hoping that’s the start of you guys realising how unpopular these rules actually are.

The error has been corrected, The alert indicator will show up whenever those rules are in effect liek previous boss battles.

Completely agree all the effort we put into building our rosters just to be told now you can't use the things you acquired to make them elite characters.

Steel cage rules need to go or at least improve the points an what not when we win a match facing 6sg ss. The points are trash and almost the same for each month. Seems like Steel cage rules is almost every game mode now and it sucks.

There's all these cool, new skill plates in rewards and prize walls, and you can't even use 'em because of these stupid Steel Cage restrictions.

I agree. I didn't buff my characters just for Scopely to turn around and make the game intentionally harder by removing all the buffs.

Bumping this up in support.
I can see doing a gimmick like this for Hell in a Cell, or if there is a major cage match coming in WWE, but this is ridiculous. There are special rules for everything now. What's the point of grinding, or buying, plates, straps, medals, etc, if y'all take them away every event?

Scopely you have given me something to hate worse than flash feuds. I was willing to give this a chance. You have done with this what WWE did with Roman in the shield and completely shoved it down our throats. People have worked hard and spent a lot for medals and plates and entourage for you to take it away and basically tell us we're going to play how you say and you don't care if we have fun or not. If steel cage was a "special " occasionally it might be fine but it's every event every day all the time. We can't miss it if it never goes away. I'm one person with one comment you could probably care less about but you have a plethora of comments from the community that pays your salary begging you to get rid of this. I know you only want positive feedback but I can't find anything positive about this. It could have been good. There have been some good things over the 7 years I've played but when you mess it up you mess it all the way up
