you guys need to stop with the Steel cage stipulation with the showdowns. It slows down the progress and honesty and not very fun to play. People spend a lot of time and resources to build up trainers, buy straps, medals, etc to be able to use and when you limit those it not fair to these players. This is the second month or third third month in a row you hahave done this.

i dont mind the tours its in and out. Showdown was easy enough with perks but still challenging. Prize wall disappointing, still plate couple year old at the price it is, its too much, shards too low amounts really low for high price on prize wall should offer at least 100 per shard grab.

    everything else is standard showdown

I enjoy the Steel Cage Challenge, was able to complete everything except for my missing character challenges.

I'm not sure how I feel about the Armory yet, I'm bummed that my choice of what I want has been taken away, and I am not sure if the payout of Loot coins will make up for the loss of choice, but we shall see by the end of the month!

Also, can you look into why Bull Nakato slows my game to a crawl when viewing her in my roster? It happens on both my phone and tablet.

Digging the new characters and can't wait for the Zombie events coming up!

This event has been on par with the rest of the MLC. pretty much garbage. The PW is mediocre at best with prices excessively high for items that are certainly not game breaking. You Un nerf SD just to nerf it with cage rules. remove the energy requirements. Let people grind SD. Its not like the rewards are all that great anyway. Unless there are some vast improvements, i am not spending any money this month. If it continues, it may be time for me to move on from the game.

In my opinion the showdown cage match should have a random effect like if you use a certain color move or break a certain color gem the damage applies to you instead of your opponent making it real high risk like a real cage match it applies to both the players and the NPC and is capable of causing the person who does it to be knocked out if they have no health left then do an animation of the winner climbing the cage. I really do like the reason update though it is been rather useful

I like the steel cage. I like the additional challenge and I welcome different versions of it.

The faction contest was super easy. Not a true complaint, but it should of been balanced better id think

Tours were good, prizewall isn’t very exciting. We’ll see what the SD will look like.

Look, the weekend is a 1/10.

    Steel-cage rules…

… bring nothing to the games. There is no “additional challenge” - there is additional grind, which lowers engagement. Additional inconvenience which again, stops me and others from playing as much as usual. Less speed which, again, means I can’t be bothered. None of it is challenging.
Better if… to be honest the feud this weekend looks better, where somethings are boosted and other things are nerfed. That’s better than taking away things that have been PAID FOR in your heavily monetised game. Let’s see how the next weekend goes.

    Showdown perks:

Are working well… finally… after months? Years? Not having the reduction is nice. Again, with the steel cage rules, the whole thing felt like a chore. Not fun.
even better if… do something better than the current steel cage iteration.

    Prizewall:

As always insanely overvalued. There didn’t feel like there was much reward for the weekend. Another Titan plate? Whoopie.

    Tours:

Good. The shorter, one node tours are good. Fine to have the monthly character in a longer one. Decent rewards to help with progression. This was the “1” in the 1/10.

So sorry, not a great weekend. Felt like a chore. Not fun. And with no real rewards at the end of it.

only specific gems are able to do damage?

this has to be the worst implementation of steel cage yet.

dont get pinned or you can not kick out.

    how is this even fun?

After playing the contest, I have a few thoughts. I find the steel cage rules more effective for tours than for showdown. There are only so much energy for showdowns you can have, and the steel cage rules makes it more likely that you could lose more matches and thus be less likely to get the points and rewards you want. In the end, I felt that I had to spend just to get to the last milestone I could get to, which wasn't the final one. Being so far away from the final milestone having played hard all weekend seems like a punishment to the players. The Friday event where you have to have the CSS to play that showdown really reeks of forcing the players to spend a lot of money. And there is no guarantee that you will even come close to getting the character. What's worse is that Dom is not even the S or S plus character. There should be better ways to get him in time for the extra showdown. Also, it makes Friday really boring with very little to play for if you didn't get Dom. Like you have a couple of tour modes, and that's it. It takes engagement with the game away. I would imagine you want more engagement with the game and not less. I do appreciate that you are trying different ways to play the game with the steel cage rules. Adding new things and innovation to the game is something I want to reenforce. But, I think there are some aspects of this past showdown events that needs to go back to the drawing board.

I was not a fan of this showdown.. the whole steel cage concept is not a good idea for it either you get so many energy and to handicap us from using straps or medals doesn’t help when your facing people ready t1 and your not ready and lose so there goes your noto and a energy. Then you make a task to brake row break gems and have it female first. I f you don’t have Abby the witch you have to use ph Nia Jax who can’t fight her way out of a paper bag. To solve this huge problem just keep the steel cage rules for tours where they belong. Also the match making of opponents is horrible too I should be at 15k noto and have to refresh and spend millions of coins just to see 9k people to fight.. it’s torture to have to refresh so much. The good part of this weeks event was the prizewall I wish there was more then 1 offer to buy shards but other then that pw was good

    thoughts on showdown -

Didn’t mind the steel cage rules as opponent didn’t have mp down perks as that’s changed this time for showdown ( one of the changes i like this mlc) and we had the extra energy this time as well.
think the faction tasks could of been thought out a little better, not many females do row break gems, unless the faction used female with a hot tag move they didn’t really stand a chance of getting that task done.
there seemed less solo tasks this time around which made the event more manageable to get through both solo and faction tasks.

I didn’t loose a single match and was only missing nia, used 2 showdown coin promoters and a striker for female and acro Seth and it still took pretty much all event to get to max all milestones, normally for me it’s quicker, not sure why though.

Tours were ok like normal really I have noticed you are giving players a better variety of superstars to do the tour with for css which I think helps cater for more.
The biggest thing from for me is it was meant to be doms weekend, yet the event was geared towards females, really didn’t get that.

Pretty solid event even though steel cage rules were applied I think more thought was put into it this time, with extra energies given and the showdown perks available, just made players think a bit more about what they were doing which imo isn’t a bad thing

Prizewall - not a lot to say apart from pretty poor

  • SmarkSmasher

the tours and css were okay but the prizewall needs a rework.

Before I say my piece, I want to add the preface that I understand it’s a business and that most “good stuff” is not, and will never be, free. I understand it’s a business and their aim is to make money but I wonder if such decisions is in fact costing the company money.

The Insignia plate, for starters has been accessible for quite some time through skill plate crates/bags. I dont have even a single one but have seen many players pull this one so its safe to say that its no longer a “rare” plate.

The hunter’s medallion was available for FREE not too long ago for 4 MLC medallions(just like this month you can get Naomi’s submission plate for 4 MLC medallions)….think it was the final boss rock or Tech Miz’s MLC month.

Both these plates have been in the circulation for a substantial period of time, and yet they are priced at the level of the devil’s drip plate, which is a NEWER and a STRONGER plate and makes a bunch of posters hit extremely hard.
Hell, the insignia’s plate is more expensive than devil’s drip which makes no sense to me!

Similar arguments can be made for barber plate and some other stuff that’s available as well. Insignia plate has no business being priced at the level of Valkyrie’s plate.

You know you can actually make more money if you were to lower the price on these plates because then they will actually be in the budget of those who need these plates the most.

If you are someone who has earned enough medallions to redeem, say, the nightmare insignia plate, you probably have a big roster and are someone who already have multiple copies of the said plate so you are for sure not going after this plate as there is better stuff to buy for 20k medallions.

Long story short, those who can get to 20k dont need the nightmare, hunter’s medallion or barber’s plate as they already have this stuff and/or have better stuff, and those who actually need these plates for their roster(because they couldn’t get it earlier) don’t have a chance(unless they get lucky with pulls and pull 25k-80k medallions)

This neither helps spenders nor helps the FTP player base.

The amount of shards offered were not sufficient at all.

The Steel cage stipulation needs to leave the game in all modes and never return.
Players pay for cards, straps, plates and trainers. This eliminates that. Showdown has always been my favorite game mode this setup and lack luster prize wall made me not care about it at all. Same thing can be said for the upcoming feud im not sure im going to play it or anything else this mlc.

the steel cage rules need to be tweaked a bit imo.. I get what the concept is, but I’d like to see fewer restrictions.. why build up your rosters, collect the plates and straps to have them neutralized?

  • Doomeath

I like the idea of Steel Cage; it pushes your characters to the limit and forces you to play more strategically.

What I don’t like is that the rewards are so scarce—it’s really hard to get new plates or anything decent.

The prices in LATAM are way too high, and this is becoming very pay-to-win, even for getting new accessories.

They also removed a lot of rewards from the weekly tours. What are they trying to do for players who don’t spend as much?

  • TKisOP

Positives- This steel cage showdown was one of the few steel cage modes I actually liked. We couldn't use some things but it was compensated by steel cage bonuses. Css didn't feel difficult to finish, it was ideal and should be like this in future

Negatives- The prizewall was bad, Im not saying f2p players should get the top prizewall reward for free but I think they should get a decent amount of currency to have some choice. The amount of currency we got for free was just enough to get 1 old skillplate

    Really good work,

I like the concept of Steel cage rules a lot !

But the thing is the rewards needs to be better like tokens and other resources..

As a mid-game player, its hard for me to spend 30k TP in some contest.

    Overall, SD was great 👍🏻!

"why you had that experience in the game!" I get worse and worse experience in this "game" it's only about, money money money! Scopely is a form and they are created to make money but not like that... It is known that the company incurs high costs so the profits must be high, it is just a pity that the product stopped developing a long time ago, it has been standing still for a long time (but how much can you cut off coupons for?) and now it is a slippery slope downwards! Another weak event, each subsequent one is worse, shorter and more boring than the previous one... You are celebrating your eighth anniversary, congratulations, but the splenizant should share the cake with everyone, the guests, and not just with the handful who paid a fortune for a ticket! to a theoretically free event...

I'm usually pretty positive in these, but this one was brutal. I almost forgot to spend my 11k tokens because there was very very little available that was useful. No Asuka shards was a huge L.

Less emblems, less shards and just as much if not more gameplay. This MLC is really off to a poor start.

I agree with this comment by another player. "stop with the Steel cage stipulation with the showdowns. It slows down the progress and honesty and not very fun to play. This is the second month or third third month in a row you have done this." When we spend for things it is a bit insulting to then be unable to use it. We build characters because we like them but you are making it harder to enjoy the game with rerstrictive modes

The ShowDown weekend event included steel cage rules. From the MLC blog it seems we will be seeing steel cage rules more often than other MLCs. My feeling toward steel cage is that it doesn't feel great. Someone like me who spent years working hard to obtain posters and the plates I have, to then have them removed just feels awful.

With that said, I was able to complete the standard SD tasks over time. Missing out on the 700k solo points in the SD event feels bad. This has been a common occurrence for months now. A suggestion I would like to see implemented is, if you are able to complete all the standard SD task (not including the CSS) you should be able to obtain those 700k solo points. You are dedicating your weekend time to completing the tasks, it would be a great incentive. The CSS posters should always help you get closer to the bonus milestones in the SD Solo event to get the higher tier rewards. Missing out on the 700k solo points meant I missed out on some needed resources. Please consider.

All of the faction tasks were fine. I can see it being difficult for some lower rank factions to complete but I was fortunate enough to be in a faction where we able to comple them. The rewards in the faction milestones were awful. Another faction event where you have stats of 10% and 20% on ultimate straps. I thought the first time this happened many months ago it was just coded wrong, but this has been happening for some time and this needs to stop. You should not have stats lower then 50% on an ultimate. 40% is pushing it but at least it is better than 10% and 20%. Please stop doing this. Some of us are still trying to obtain ult straps for certain eras and since you took away the mid-week shop where we could pick what we wanted, this is making it worse for all of us. You are purposely giving us bad straps and that is not what rewarding your players for dedicating their time to playing a weekend event should feel like. Again, please consider.

The tours were fine. I have said this numerous times on previous feedbacks, and I will say it again, the tours have been great for quite some time. Keep up this momentum as it is working out well.

Last, the prizewall shop for this weekend was expensive. The plates, especially some of the older ones are just too pricey. The 10k strap for the new Dom being that price felt awful. I am fortunate enough to be in a faction that placed top 10, I completed all the tours and I completed the standard SD task and yet I only ended with 9k medallions. This feels awful. Maybe consider reworking how many weekend medallions we get if we rank this high. I ended up buying Charlotte and Nikki shards, which we could only buy 1 time. This is crazy since I only ended up with 50 shards per poster. The shards for posters have been high for months now and I do not see it changing. I wish it would, but I feel this is to invoke spending.

Side note: Where are the Lyra shards? No matter what type of event she was part of, we have rarely seen any of her shards since her MLC. I think you may have forgotten about her.

Overall, the event ran smooth. I did have a couple connection issues but other than that, nothing major. This event fell flat for me. When you work hard on an event as I did, and can only purchase 50 shards for a poster, it feels like a slap in the face. Long I yearn for the events when we could walk away with 150-250 poster shards during the weekend event. Those time are behind us, and I miss it.

Once again steel cage rears its ugly head. Nobody said they wanted more of this.

We already told you nobody wants this. IT honestly feels like you're using it as a means to game-balance certain modes because you don't know what to do otherwise.

State of the game is declining fun. Prizewalls are pretty mid and require spending to hit anything remotely useful. Feud has been ruined and turned into a CSS game locked behind paywalled characters and line requirements.

Talent up is completely broken for cost/reward and most sensible people stop at the second to last milestone. Even your CCs are making videos about this now.

You're starting to lose long time people in this game as every single thing is paywalled to a level that is ridiculous.

  • cj442653

Showdown was okay...steel cage adds something new but still not a fan of it. The players spend time, resources, money building up specific characters and adding belts, trainers, coach's, plates to maximize them. Steel cage rules feel like we are being penalized and forced to use characters that we normally would not or have to invest more resources to take that character up to a level to complete. If that is the case then make the prize walls and drop rates for for these changes more favorable for the players.

This time the SD event with steel cage rules wasn’t as bad as the previous one’s because of the bonuses you added this time. Still i’d say lower level players or new comers suffers a lot than a average player who have decent talent and multiple options to make the best decision.

For instance, the main highlights were 100% move dmg and 50% multiply gems. Majority of the people sets up zombie bayley at defences who comes out fully loaded and ready to go due to fact there are no mp reduction perks this time and top of that you can’t have the plates and entourages because they were banned in the steel cage match. These type of restrictions strictly effect a mediocre player and lead them to lose their chance in any futher tournaments. You could definitely argue that this time around it wasn’t a worse nightmare than the last time but still there are some major problems and issues that needs to be addressed and will refined this node to the greater extent possible.

CSS list is somewhat more accessible this time but still there’s a no chance that you could reach to the 700K milestone in the solo event. Lack of CSS options which are massively paywalled characters are making it even more difficult to come closer to that certain level where it makes sense for rewards/medallions but it feels totally worthless to push yourself into the grind. Everything else is basically gets sidetracked simply because when you have bigger things to deal with than it’s not going to change anything around the way.

I’d say it’s just a matter of time before people start to fed up with these events and soon they will stop tolerating this unprofessional behaviour which will fuming the situation even more than this. Hope you guys take some serious steps in maintaining the faith and trust in your community because for now it’s just not going to work out the way you headed in the past.
Personally i’d give steel cage rules another shot to possibly make sure the best experience and potential it offers for the future. Overall a decent kinda weekend event for sure atleast for me. So, i’d rate this a solid 6/10

The latest SD event with steel cage rules was an improvement over previous ones, thanks to the added bonuses. However, new players still struggle to fully understand what’s going on, which is a bigger issue for the game as a whole. The rules, rewards, and menus are often confusing, and simplifying these elements would really improve the experience. Two of my friends quit because of this. It’s clear that the game needs to be more intuitive and faster-paced.

For example, while the event offered 100% move damage and 50% multiply gems, newer players can’t always compete. Characters like Zombie Bayley, fully loaded with no MP reduction perks, dominate. Plus, restrictions like banning plates and entourages make it harder for less experienced players to succeed. These kinds of challenges push newcomers away, especially when they feel stuck in a never-ending grind.

The CSS list is more accessible, but hitting the 700K milestone is still out of reach for most, especially with paywalled characters. Players are less likely to keep grinding when the rewards don’t feel worth the effort. If this keeps up, I fear players will lose patience and stop tolerating the current issues. Simplifying the game and making it more player-friendly would go a long way toward restoring trust in the community.

Overall, the event wasn’t terrible, but there’s room for improvement.
