Pros: you could get a lot of shards for a reasonable effort and if you participated in the previous one you had a realistic shot at getting APA for a small(by scopely terms) investment($100-$200). Decent RNG on the bags for most people hitting about 25 shards per bag. leading to around 1000 shards if you max it. The blitz didn't require APA. The normal blitz being tied with the contest was good.

Cons: lot of resource use with no guarantee of the character. Bad RNG could lead to falling just short. The amount of shards you got was too small in the blitz plus it was only really useful if you needed all 3 of the characters. Not telling people about the bltiz being tied to the apa meant people wasted tickets that could've counted for both by doing it when it dropped. Again punishing early adopters.

Positive: the normal blitz tied to the mlc allowed for some points towards the faarooq event. It allowed for some overlap that let everyone participate at a limited level. Depending on the status of Pete dunne it was more or less.

negative: if you did not participate in the initial offering of apa faarooq your interest or ability to participate was extremely limited. It was nice to see blitz tickets offered at a reasonable purchase amount but the free ones available via tours were paywalled behind having apa faarooq. It’s understandable that the company expects to make money off an event such as this but perhaps a second tour everyone could do for a shot at a single blitz run would have gotten more people involved and given everyone an ability to participate and maybe even spend if they were more engaged.

Pretty much everything Guersan said. Good to see events coming back for people who want the character. Requiring Farooq to do things didn’t make sense to me.
