Strap Belt and Medals clarity

Hello fellow WWE Champions Players I need help figuring some stuff out regarding straps and strap parts. I still get confused about the definition of gem defense and move defense plates and straps i have a lot of them and I don't quite understand what their purpose is. Does it help with gem damage while kicking out does it mean that you take less gem and move damage from opponents I'm just a bit confused as to what they do and for some reason, I cannot wrap my head around it, I understand everything else this game has to offer but this one aspect of it. IF anyone can clear this up it would be much appreciated.

    hello yong. Each medal slot is associated to a medal type

    • move defense
    • Gem defense
    • Move damage
    • Gem damage

    Each Medal has one of the above as the “main” bonus and leveling up those medals unlocks additional abilities the abilities rolled can be any of the above I.e a move defense medal can have some additional abilities for gem damage, etc. the abilities rolled are at random however higher tier medals have additional and stronger bonuses already unlocked.

    Grouping medal types of 2 gives additional bonuses (I.e 2 gem dmg medals of any of the type will give a 20% gem dmg bonus and all 4 slots of the same type would give you 20% gem dmg x2)

    These bonuses all add up and work when you swipe gems, use moves, etc. so if you on your opponent and have a combined bonus of 80% gem defense, your opponents gems matched would be 80% less than usual. Or if you match gems with a bonus gem damage set of 80%, your gems would do 80% more damage than normal.
