Blitz to Extreme Competition
So why are there no extra task to be able to get the points needed to make it to the gold chest with out spending money?

This happens every single time they run a Blitz to the Extreme event. If you're missing the Premium CSS'es, you can't reach the gold chest without buying lots of loot coins. It's awful, it sucks, and they will insist on bringing this back every 2 weeks of course.

Bring back the regular tours. Nobody wanted them to go away. We JUST WANTED LESS SHOWDOWN.
I would rather have showdowns than this trash.

I seriously and genuinely do not understand the rationale from Scopely here. The player base has only gotten more and more frustrated in the past months and no amount of transparency in an MLC BLOG and/or no amount of excessive information provided up front for us to know things flat out…can rectify just plain lunacy.
The premise should be…every event/contest is attainable to reach the gold chest…and if you desire spending…then you get it faster as well as the stretch milestones. SURE DO NOT MAKE IT A CAKEWALK but the free to play community NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO OBTAIN GOALS…WITHOUT SPENDING.
You have to keep the ENTIRE player base happy…not just your heavy spenders. Because even the little guy…wants a shot. The big guy will just toss their wallet at the game to get what they want.
I try to keep a level head here but it is genuinely frustrating to see this happen time and time again and it is disappointing that it continues to occur.

If this is accurate, and I have no reason to not believe Scott, it's really a sad time for the game. The gold chest is supposed to be where F2P can get, bonuses are just that, a bonus, an extra, something more for those that either spend or have required CSSs.
I don't understand why the game is trying to drive players away. Makes no sense.

cant get the gold chest because of a pay wall
even after buying the 3s andrada and 7 pull.
and only missing Cody and the hall of fame CSS

I don't want to tell people what to do with their money but, it's the definition of insanity to keep throwing your wallet at them only to hey screwed. The sooner we all collectively learn that lesson the sooner the game will change.
