im not sure where to post this, but this is my experience so far with this contest. I was 100% looking forward to this and now because of a developer error it has ruined my win. I just want them to acknowledge they made an error and fix it.

I pulled him at 5SG and it came with the NXT Gold gear. Obviously the blog makes mention of it coming with the Loudmouth gear and not NXT Gold. In fairness it does show in the loot pull that you can pull him with the NXT gear. It would make more sense if both gears were available on the prize wall.

I like the character but not really sure he belongs in the S tier of superstars.
Also why are almost all the submissions only 3 or 4 turns?
Tech lesner gets like 9turns and does massive damage and he's an old character compared to how ramped up the newer releases are.
I think the S class subs should get at least 6 turns while B tier should be 3 turns on subs.
Please update the gear wall on the loot page to include some more gears. There is 4 I still have not gotten after playing nearly 6 years

Really good post, there's been a few feedback topics (specifically the 12 Days one) where there's been no acknowledgement that well written and fair posts have been passed on and issues raised are even under consideration.

I've been playing for a short time, but honestly the bugs I find when I play faction bosses irritate me a lot.
- game crashes due to "no internet"
- moves that you fail to launch and are stuck for the entire 59 seconds of your game
- moves that if you launch them 5 seconds before the end of your move period and you have to choose maybe 8 gems to destroy you cannot do it because you have exceeded the timing
- infinite movement times for the PC after the move, so that of the 59 seconds of play, you actually spend perhaps 20 when things go well
Jesus Christ, set the speed to 2x for everyone and at least we'll have some fun instead of bringing all the saints into play

I like the fact that scopley decide to give the character as milestone reward as well as his 1200 shards recruitment. But, the fact is the milestone at which he was available is pretty much high. Also, not all his shards were completely free. Some of his shards were available at higher milestones and his 100 shards are available for by defeating 6sb logan with the contest based superstar which many players don't have and lower leagues player can't possibly get those shards neither get him from milestones rewards nor from prizewall. So basically the superstar is free for only those players who have contest based superstars or are at higher leagues. It isn't available for lower leagues players.
So, if u want to make available a superstar to all players so directly make him/her available by logging in. It can benefit both types f2p players and players who spend money on game.

I love how the chase card is more accessible this time around and more players will be able to get him for free.
However, he’s pretty underwhelming as compared to the other Showboats that you have dropped this year but that seems intentional.
My main gripe with this event is going to be the never ending glitches that are now a part of any boss battle. Even after promises of providing a quality product and what-not, we seem to be back at where we started. Even after joining a lobby and have a strong internet connection(everything else on my phone runs alright so i know it’s not my connection that’s the issue), the game routinely kicks us out from the lobby even after our teammates inform us that we are supposedly in the match.
This is robbing us of the fun that we could have had(again).

Tours:
The tours were pretty good but only thing that did not like was that you have to either have Indi or Rhea JD to get the bonus. I think that like every other time there was a regular wrestler that could of been used that is not that good like we always have.
Faction Boss:
I did enjoy the faction boss but again there was something that I did not care for that that is the shield that if you break a certain amount of blues you broke the shield but when I was using ZOrton where he had multi blue gems of strength 20 and the whole board turned blue those multi gems should of counted as 20 blues and not 1.
Lastly the blog says that 1200/1200 would be free to get but after calculating all the shards that I gotten from the 4 different areas the Faction contest should have 100 more shards that are obtainable in it and not the 200 that is in the bonus milestone that the only way to get to that is if you already have Grayson and can get the 3 million points needed to max to get the last 200 that you would need so truly the last 100 isn't free. If the shards were done correctly and by rerolling the faction shop to get the extra 40 shards I should be at 1240 and not 1140 if the 100 shards in faction boss competition was done correctly.

Honestly solid event the free card for a lot of people was a real bonus..
Event had plenty of points to hit plenty of milestones.. medallions still a little on the shy side but event on the whole was solid..
Not the usual boss format I am appealing for you to look at the data twice.. because despite the card being free good money has been spent this weekend which goes to show cards don't need to cost 300/500 for the event to be a success.. now if we can just get some kind of faction event for boss be great doesn't have to have shards but give us something.

I have enjoyed this event. I pulled Grayson but it was really cool to see my faction mates grind it out and get him. I could nit pick, but I had fun with my faction this event. Do this more often please. Since a good number got him we were able to toss around set ups, and stuff like that

Boss battle still seems to have connections issues every time this event is active. I mention this on my feedback every time. It makes for a frustrating time. I missed out on points due to connection issues with other teammates who are in the same region as me.
The boss battle CSS was really tough. I only had a Cena and Theory. I found it odd that Edge the Iconoclast was required. I have not seen his shards in some time. The milestone rewards for the boss battle were so boring. Nothing to really look forward to. 35 million gold and only 3 (6) bronze tokens for the gold milestone? Maybe re-evaluate these rewards since 6 Silver is becoming more and more of a requirement.
I missed out on allot of solo points due to the CSS of each tour. I was only able to complete the first challenge match and that was only on the 2nd day when Zombie Cody was finally acknowledged as a Rhodes member. I have missed out on contest points in the past due to this since Zombie Cody is my only Rhodes worth using. This update was needed. Thanks.
I ended up only getting to silver milestone in the solo event. I was disappointed to say the least. I did not come close to recruiting the new poster. I was however happy to see allot of faction mates recruit the new poster.
Overall, this event was not fun for me. This MLC is really starting to drag. 2-month MLCs are just not fun. I know your team tries to create fun events all the time, but this one was not a home run.
Congratulations to all who earn the new poster. Bring on the Hall of Fame event.

I thought this event was a step in the right direction. I was skeptical that I’d be able to get Waller for free when I saw the contest superstars since I had none of the bonus characters for Sunday’s tours, but I was able to get the unlock anyway with the points from the other tours and the faction boss. I was also missing most of the faction boss CSS but was able to max it with 4 levels 23s along with the Cena, Theory, and Butch tasks.
Agree with others that he’s not a top tier character (especially without his gears), but it’s hard to complain when I honestly can’t remember the last weekend chase I got for free.
One change I would like to see is the ability to get something decent off the prize wall after getting all the free milestones. It’s a little discouraging that I can’t even get shards of other characters with the tokens I got.
Overall, a solid event that I hope is a sign of things to come in the new year. I know every event can’t be like this, but I do appreciate the chance to get new characters as a light spender.

Recruit in 1200 shards is good. But then it is not acquire by through chase process. You can do some changes, like
1. Add some more grab bags with shards.
Or 2. Increases the shards quantity from grab bags.
Or 3. Expanding the leader board reward. Like you gave 10000-500 shards to top 200. You can manage it 10000-10 shards to top 5000 .
And should be open tours like particular class, not by era or family.
That's it.

Another worst event for spenders and unworthy people
Tours were ok
Faction boss was worse nothing new everything was paywalled Waller isnt free and 90 percent of the players know this as 200 shards were in bonus milestone and y'all even reduced lvl 20 match wins from 5k to 2.5k which is really proving how garbage this game is right now a total waste of event.
It's the downfall of scopely and I'm here for it

Why were the 200 faction boss shards listed as “free” when they were clearly marked under “bonus” which is always classed as premium. So instead of free being 1200 it was actually less.

The last boss this year. Let's take a closer look at what we got in more detail about what we got in this event:
Good:
- You can get a character simply by closing the event. (Yes, of course you need some donated characters, but still, it hasn’t happened for a long time that you can get a character just by completing a contest).
- A very simple boss (in theory, he can be killed in one move, and the number of characters who can do this is very large).
- Possibility to talent up a new character to 6star for 1 token (This is really useful in terms of savings).
Bad:
- Time to spend with the boss (it’s very inconvenient to beat the boss on the last day of the year, it could have been released a day earlier).
- It’s impossible to get 80% of the shards for other rewards from the prize wall. (I closed the entire boss and almost all the solo lines and I can’t even afford to buy shards to upgrade a new character. Previously, in this case, I could even count on a plate).
- Bad donation pools with 60% free characters on the list.
- A very weak new character (compared to most new characters who can inflict 20 million on the first turn, this one is actually from last year, with his 1-2 million per turn. Even the costumes practically do not strengthen him. The training ability is also very strange).
Let's summarize: The event turned out to be simple, but essentially with good rewards. It was very nice to get a new character with your hard work at the end of the year (it’s a pity, of course, that without costumes he’s practically useless). Overall, a very pleasant New Year’s event. I hope it will continue to be exactly the same. I give this event 8/10

Feedback for Grayson Waller Boss Battle
- His trial was fun with the moveset I needed to get the Trial tours done.
- There's obviously mention within the community that even though it appears this is a free event, there are those who dont think this character is absolutely free. I honestly think where the blog mentions Free Vs Premium you have to consider if having the required CSS for Solo Tours is also considered Premium because if you think many of us would have Indi or Rhea, considering Indi never had any shards available, Rhea was a new character from this year so was definitely paywalled. I was lucky i had Iconoclast Edge but again he was never sold for free so again he couldn't really be considered free unless people were able to shard recruit him over time and Theory shards have been rare so again another rare character.
- Personally, I am obviously in the boat where I have a faction to help max the BB event so was able to recruit Waller at 1200 shards. The first time I could actually get a weekend superstar during BB and take him to 6SB with 1 token. Wow, now I know what that feels like.
- I will say it's nice to have ended the year with this planned event where a good portion of the seasoned players had a chance to recruit Waller. I'm sure everyone will eventually get him in the next few months, hopefully through Prizewall shards.
- Speaking of prizewall shards, can you really find a way to balance this where there is some semblance of joy when it comes to actually getting something from the prizewall I'd like rather than rendering me to either spending to get what I want or just take what you can get. The latter is starting to get tiresome. Here I was, 40 shards away from Ministry Taker and really looking forward to getting him but again, only managed to get around 4k shards and I am not going to spend a fortune so again will play the waiting game.
- I love the fact that this Boss was a breeze where majority also managed to get it done within the first 6-8 hours so made the weekend easier in comparison to the previous Flash Fued weekend. So in a way thanks for a non-grindy weekend to end the year.

The Grayson Waller faction boss was great to me, but a few issues I see that was mostly technical than anything else.
The technical issues that plagues this game mode still after the introduction of faction boss is absolutely ridiculous. I have been frozen in place and the game becomes unresponsive at times where I have to restart the game and letting my faction mates that I’m having issues doing anything. One time, the board suddenly disappears and didn’t repopulate after clearing the board full of blue gems. The dreaded connection error came up again and again… I’m sure it’s not my internet connection.
Like others has said, the blog and Scopely’s definition of free needs to be addressed. The 200 shards being gated in the bonus superstar milestone should have been dispersed in the achievable milestones. A lot of people I know were 100 shards short because they did not have Acro Edge and Butch. At least for Butch, you could buy the $20 pack and level him up to 5sg, but no path to obtaining Edge easily. In the bonus milestone instead, should have one of his gear that would be obtainable.
A lot of people are saying Waller is not a great character. While I do agree with it to a point, he needs some bells and whistles. SB Matt/Sherri/trainer that does black mp and +1 multiply/MEM Rock are the trainers or coaches that would make him much better without gears, or even with gears, one of the top showboats. I also did not like that he was a focused showboat that is crowded… Sheamus, Nakamura and Regal are focused showboats and for me stretched my focused showboat shards really thin. I do appreciate that he is a 1200 recruit. We do not get many of those and its good to throw a bone out to the community (overlooking the shards available fiasco mentioned earlier)
The tours I had no problem with, but can see why others has some issues. Without a good HBK (either HoF or Rocker), it’s really difficult to get the “free shards”. The Sunday bonus characters I can see about 90% of people having issues with either not having Indi or JD Rhea for the ladies tour or Acro Edge in the men tour.
Overall, same technical issues still frustrates me with this game and the distribution of the weekend shards could be better especially when a weekend character that could be recruited at 1200 shards is involved could be much better. The faction boss itself is totally doable with D’Lo which is a plus since probably D’Lo is mostly at 6sb or 6ss for most players. Overall, it’s a positive experience this weekend, last weekend of 2023.

I agree that the 200 shards in the boss event might have been misleading , but Waller still was free if your faction is semi decent. We had a lot of ppl getting him for free without having all the boss css. It was quite possible to max out the boss event with only having theory, cena plus 1 other.
The issue with the different gears within the loot is a bigger one tho , since , unless i missed it, no one commented on this issue yet so we don’t know what’s up with that .
Overall I think this event as quite good since ppl actually might b able to grind for the chase superstars and not end up 1000 shards or more away from him like normally.

This is the Bret hart hof debut event shenanigans alll over again. If the devs want to put this right they have to offer the shards they promised but didn’t deliver. Although i expect charging the player base for the missing “free” shards is “better for business “instead

I appreciated this as the end of year event, the faction boss didn’t require a ton of grinding as there was enough D-Lo and T-Funk in game to make it so people weren’t stuck carrying the whole team. I thought was a nice gift to give everyone some sort of chance to get Waller, but that he also isn’t SB Taker good, so a new character, but won’t be meta.
my in game RNG has been awful of late and my shard pulls are crap, but that’s just the way it goes.
There are still some crashing issues and red ring of death issues that need ironed out. Seems like whenever I was playing in an American server I would have issues over when in a European server.

Not sure about the „not meta“ . IMO doing 8-10 million dmg endlessly without moving the pin bar is quite powerful . Paired with the submission will reduce the incoming dmg from moves. But future will tell and I will stop hijacking this thread 😉

First of all, it was nice of Scopely to make the Waller poster generally accessible to everyone. Sincerely nice to be thrown a bone every now and then. Thank you.
Talent Up demands have become an unpleasant pain point for many, it's also nice that they've continued to exclude a faction event during Faction Boss weekends.
I think it was a mistake for Scopely to test the waters on "will people spend the same just for gear?" with a Modern Showboat release. With Carmelo, LA Knight, Sheamus, Finn (the latter two benefiting from Judgment Day plate) all in the mix right now, there is no reason anyone with those cards should chase Waller gear...not to mention more people getting Ministry Taker and Regal to round out a very strong Showboat lineup right now.
I really do believe Scopely can make as much money on gear alone as they do on a new release, but the circumstances for Modern Showboat right now made this experiment dead on arrival.
I am also concerned about the poor calibration of Prize Wall items/costs. 100 Sherri shards costing more than the new release's gear? Full disclosure: I only spent $5 this weekend but would have gladly spent more if those shards or other items were priced more appropriately/PW coins being more affordable.

ONE OF THE WORST events of December
As it was considered even written that Grayson Waller is free which is clearly not true and it was misleading tons of players including me ended up at 1100 cause of trash changes to boss competition and bugs, even the grinding aspect of bb was burnt to the ground as grinding 20s were only giving 2.5k per 20s win instead of 5k it was done deliberately to restrict grinding and hence proving Waller was paywalled.
Bugs - even claiming faction leaderboard rewards didn't add up to boss competition.
Tours it wasn't accessible to everyone as Rhea and Indi both were premium characters and 50 percent don't have them
FACTION BOSS
Again it was one of the worst event as all the good stuff was in bonus milestone which wasn't accessible without premium css likes of La knight Edge whose shards were not offered in half of 2023 and was impossible to get
Solo contest was ok

For all those ppl who thought they got lucky and pulled Grayson at 5star plus but ended up with the same ring gear…scopely is now stating that the loot had two different 5 star Graysons in it one with each gear ..so I doubt anyone will receive the Aussie loudmouth gear unless they got lucky and didn’t get ripped off by scopely. For me unless proven by a screenshot I call scopely liars cause I didn’t see two different 5 gold ( that’s what I pulled ) Grayson Waller in the loot . Only one 5 gold and he clearly had the Aussie loudmouth gear attached , which I have screenshotted aswell. So as to event feedback: lying to their customers is bad .

Much appreciated change of pace this weekend, boss itself was hilariously easy, card was super easy to get for free.
Hope to see more events like this work their way back into the rotation.

Grayson Waller is a great in ring wrestler and new character.
I liked that Waller 1200 shard recruit and I was able to get him.
Limited time tours was fair
Boss battle was a lot easier this time or was because my faction had the right blue and multi gem damage characters.
