Playing while flying

I’m going to be traveling internationally soon and was curious if any knows or has been able to play while in flight. I was going to purchase the inflight WiFi package, but I’m not sure this will give me availability to apps. I will be flying on Delta, as information. Thanks in advance to anyone who knows.
