Ok, this was one of the best showdown weekend for a long time. Why? Lemme talk to ya.
The showdown contest:
Ok huge benefit here was there were only two “rare” (maybe 3 with Z-Rollins) Zoms. The move away from superstars and towards tasks is great (damage with tricksters, break 10* botch) and gives you an actual puzzle in a puzzle game if you don’t have natural superstars for it. However it meant that you could play and get more milestones. It’s a really positive move as it still makes you use different superstars, but it’s not necessarily linked to “paying.”
The prize wall:
was also good. Again, this is what prizewalls should look like (high, mid, low price skill plate etc) however (first con) give us Zombie shards in Zombie month. Please. But overall this was a good prizewall.
The showdown itself: generally worked well. I didn’t have too many tech issues and the event went pretty smoothly.
The tours! Thank you for going back to tours that had at least one FTP superstars at each level. The survival challenges were good, and having them at 10 turns was about right I think (didn’t become repetitive). Good rewards as always.
Milestones: were full of resources as usual.
New superstar: looks good.
To be fair, everything seemed to run well this weekend and you could get some decent rewards if you put in the grind. I got 1100 shards for Z-gun so will hopefully pick him up in Spring outbreak :D

Was there supposed to be the usual 48 wins with a certain class or era or wins with zombie this was missing I believe

Overall good but 6* token is lacking and shards given out is too low.
New way playing showdown is good as per milestone requirements of superstar change. It's welcoming move but sometimes it's bit difficult.
Also energy token for showdown given out is good.
I would like to see more of animated moves which is missing in the game. Just like you brought for mutant. Fancy animation is required and mlc based theme ring and background will be good.
Please try to give out old superstar.

Love the design of ZGunther. Amazing job on the design.
The tours were mostly on point, though having survival matches, at this point in the game might be a bit dicey. Letting use any version of Gunther fka Walter was a nice touch.
Coming to the showdown contest, there needs to be a decision whether we will go with 12 energy or 16 energy and stick with that. Changing the energy from 16 to 12 felt a bit odd. Such changes need to be notified before hand. Also the offer of 2 energy available for 3 million coins was gone from in-game store.
The prizewall was fairly priced for the most part. Certainly few items were over-priced, like the Escape Artist skill plate and Strap parts.
Last but not the least, the blog post is supposed to provide us with information about the contest. But when it came out the blog post did not have any information about the faction part of the contest. Seemed a bit rushed.

I liked how you eliminated the need for contest superstars for the actual match so don’t have to really do 40-48 matches of specific people/stable/era. But I did enjoy the increase of other ways to obtain milestones. However I’m disappointed that promoters don’t help with progress to the contest. That we are just getting extra coins instead of it counting towards contest. Why do we build up the ones for coins then? When it doesn’t help us with contests. But for most part it was all in all a good weekend. Wish I was able to be one of the few who was able to pull zgunther but odds wernt in my favor. Also didn’t like how you lowered the max amount of showdown from 16 to 12. Also took away the ability to purchase refills before event ended. So all in al the event was mediocre at best.

I feel like overall this was a decent contest. Especially for f2p. Even with missing a few contest characters, I feel like I did pretty well. I couldn't max the SD since I didn't have steamboat, mankind, or the new Gunther but I still was able to max the free section of the solo contest. The amount of prizewall medallions was definitely an improvement. I was able to get all the shards off the regular prizewall which got me Rosey.
My only complaint is the 24 hour prizewall. Most of what I really wanted was in that section but didn't get enough medallions until the next day. Only way to get anything from that is to spend, which I can't do much of currently.
There is also the question of why most saw the requirement of breaking botch and leech gems but some others had the requirement to break pyro gems. Don't know if that was a visual glitch for some players or what the full situation was on that.

I love zombies event as most of the zombies r amazing trainers (like ko, brock). The showdown event wasnt that good for the new players like me as we didnt have any good zombies but i somehow managed to climb up to world champ league hoping to claim the escape artist plate but couldnt do it. However, the event was fun.

game is progressing nicely. I like how you have been mixing in new stipulations for points. Makes the showdown a “little” different. The character requirements can be a pain.
in other news we need Invasion or a new battle mode for faction king

Well, we finally got a Gunther model that looks more like the person in real life. That's always fun.
The Wanted poster being in the last free milestone was a nice touch that I personally didn't expect. Hopefully this element stays for the weekends coming, and thus hopefully a lot of people can get some goodies from the MLC scavenger hunt without having to spend. That's always a nice W.

Look, I know we all love to complain about the blog. But with what got put out this week, personally I would just rather people not put out anything at all. No expectations of tour rewards, no idea of what was going on in the faction event, no idea that event SD energy was gonna go down to 12. I mean the game is all still functional and all that, but we're all ending up going into the weekend blind and that point why does the blog even need to exist? Just my opinion, maybe.
Looks like we're going the route of ruining SD CSS boards just like boss. That's incredibly unfortunate. I personally thought the CSS contest as a baseline wasn't too bad to max. I personally make an effort to try and push that contest to make getting the card at 3ss easier. Thing is, now we got a setup where the only way to push those boards to try and help get the card......is to get the card. And just like with boss trying to make up 2m+ points at 5k a pop, it's just not reasonably with an energy cap. REALLY hope this isn't a thing going forward because that just super kills off another weekend for me. Cool, great.
Also, back to just the top faction getting rewards. I mean sure the plate was pretty cheap and accessible which is nice, but I always hated this "Top Faction gets a thing, everyone else better luck next week". Doesn't help that the rewards are just generally pretty stinky too.
I dunno, overall I thought tours were fine. Gunther is a fun card. I mean whatever I spent the money to get him (related: he was way more expensive than a typical SD card) but there was a lot about this weekend that wasn't too fun and I hope it doesn't stick. Mostly the blog. I try to look at the blog and the event and stuff when everything is live to figure out what should be in tours somedays, maybe people can plan spending around it. But when we're all just kinda figuring it out on the fly.....woof.

Mixed bag for me. Coins loot pulls are god awful. Glad they were free . Showdown old concept needs to come back. Being told who to use is very controlling. Plus not everyone has those superstars. 6/10.

It's been a long time since there was an SD that was also feasible. In the end, he was missing a few fragments, but overall it was a nice competition. I hope the next ones will be just as fair for all players. and not just for payer again

I felt this was one of the better showdowns recently.
some positives:
bonus characters were not too rare, I was only missing two.
the bonus points for damage had a strategic element if you didn’t have rare characters to complete this with first character..
Prizewall was decent with attainable plates (although I went for shards)
some negatives:
no 48x bonus
survival tour modes a bit meh. Nice to see some variation though.
I didnt come across anyone with ZGunther which was a first. Usually find people on showdown who have the latest character maxed out during the event.
Overall a decent event. 8/10

My issue with the game is even if you pay to play. There's no guarantee you'll get anything in my case. Then when I play half the superstars that are needed. I don't have because I couldn't get him during the weekend. Advance even on, i've spent money to try to get Them but the requirements are requirements from last year in the year before. And I couldn't get any news on these. Except for the Onc they give away That makes the game very frustrating. Because no matter what you do, you can never advance. My suggestion is give everyone these characters at a one star bronze. And they can pay to increase them themselves.

I felt like I didn't get a lot of shards this contest. Not sure how.
I'm still torn on showdown requirements. It makes showdowns more interesting but then I also really struggle at times with it..
Tours seemed okay.
Overall, seemed okay I guess. Standard showdown event it seems

The event was a grind, but I actually think it was more competitive than others. I really like and enjoy the additional points from the Showdown using different gems or providing damage with specific classes. I would have liked to see more options for CSS's or a less restrictive first slot for Showdown. I thought the Survival battles were perfect, but would have liked to see a 3rd on Sunday. The Outbreak events seem to be the best throughout the year, and hoping this remains through the month. We need a break on talent up's as the last few events have depleted the tokens. Also, I would like to see more Gear available in the prize walls.

I honestly liked this event more than others, particularly SD where I tend to struggle against elite competition. However, I actually had to think about how to get as many bonuses from the cards I had and how that would play itself out into the milestones/rewards. I will say this, though I didn't get enough shards to get the zGunther, I did do well enough to max out the SD and acquire some things on the prize wall that I can use to make my current guys better, which is a bonus considering I didn't spend anything on this event. Typically I would put some money down to make it to the next milestone and acquire as much as I could in order to max the milestones, but I stood pat and was good with my rewards considering I had to grind (outsmart) my competition more so than I would have otherwise. I will say that it's next to impossible to max these events without putting some cash down so to have made it as far as I did without having to do so makes the effort much more pleasurable than it normally would have. I didn't mind the grind since I rarely had server issues this time around or other things going on that were out of my control. I was able to play freely and put in the time I was comfortable with without having to worry about in-game issues.

Why is it that you use the pay to get cards to try to get these type of cards. Y can't you use some of the free champions so in that way, u still have to build them after the month long tour. Most of the free characters just remain what u end the tour with unless they r really good. That's been about 4-5 free characters in the past yr or 2.

Thr contest itself wasn't bad everything was attainable it is just the old zombies they are useless in the new meta and it is a wast to upgrade them just for 1 event a year. I think the old zombies like brock need to be revamped to be able for them to compete with today's stars.

Love the character, but so many times my screen froze and couldn't continue. Lost a bunch of heals and had to start over.

I didn't mind the tour. I didn't think the rewards were quite enough to make me want to keep trying them.
The showdown.... typically I am all for a showdown, however when I refresh 7 times and it's still all only 6 star opponents what am I supposed to do? I have one 6 star superstar and he wasn't required. Free to play is hard enough without these requirements. Showdowns should be fun not costing all the coins to get an opponent that you can fight.
The contest superstars I didn't really have so I didn't get those bonuses which seems to be normal for me for these contests.
Overall, I wasn't impressed with this event.

The event was good, apart from the constant freezing and costing me my streak.
I don't like the first day prizewall, I don't see the point in that.
I think you might need to look at giving maybe a few more points so people to be able to get to 23/25 maybe

The game had many freeze moments during the battles
The SD contest had a bad translation with the gems we need to break
Its impossible to reach the last milestone in the SD unless you have 2 or 3 of the top superstars choosen in the event

I felt this was a really good showdown weekend. Requirements were fair for the most part , tho I couldn’t beat 6 star Gunther with my ZBrock. I really liked all the shards on the prizewall. I also liked the new “break gem” points instead of the 48 match bonus.
The one thing I didn’t like was the initial 24 hour prizewall.. would have liked to use my coins on some of those superstar shards like Zombie Mankind.
