Feedback for Generation of Jade
Positives
- Don't know much about this new NXT character but glad to know this month we'd be getting a bunch of new characters from NXT and not re-used characters. Not excited about this character considering I still need another 500 shards to go so will see how long this will take. Hopefully we get her shards show up few times down the road
- Got all the free shards of 1100 out of 1600 as per blog so think that's a win with very little spend?
- SD CSS this time felt like it was in the reasonable range, even though I didn't have 2 of the CSS was able to max the SD event so glad to see this change come around where for once we can actually max a SD event.
- Solo tours and CSS required were good and fair with the option of B Tier characters we can use as CSS.
- Was a bit skeptic again at first with the requirements being asked for this SD on top of it being F/F. Turns out, it was fine and due to the fact that Technician was the choice for defense and Modern Era so there wasn't any in the S Tier range that posed a problem so I think many were able to get their SD done early and have a relaxing weekend - myself included.
Negatives
- I just so happen to log into the game 2 hours before the SD started and was surprised to see SD was released even though there was no mention. Seems like someone at Scopely end screwed up the timer with early start and SD ending an hour after the SD event ended. Surely some sort of communication would have been helpful to let us know what's going on. I guess we just have to get used to "oh, it's weekend, looks like no one's going to care about it".
- Even though I managed to get to Solo Milestone 23/25, it still didn't affect the outcome of the shard count for Cora. Feels like such a disappointment, the 300 shards could be better spaced out within the bonus milestones rather than just shoving everything at milestone 25.
- The prizewall medallions cost for superstars seems a bit harsh with Faarooq needing 30k! Piper needing 20k! I think you need to look at revising the costs for these as they seem a tad too much considering you don't even get that many even when you finish at milestone 23. Was hoping I could grab all 3 of those shard options as I'm inching closer to recruiting Cody and Faarooq and could have used the extra shards for Piper.
- Can you take the energy out of the 2nd day tour, I find that annoying that I need to jump into doing tours to get those energy. Just keep it all in the once place and that's the best.
Overall, I think this was another SD that felt meh but slightly on the good side considering it was supposedly easier to complete in lot less time.

The Cora Jade his trap move is very good because have steal health more damage and his skill plate is good there have purple gem and red gem damage by 100% for 2 turn

I have to say this event was okay but not as fun or rewarding as it could of been. The rewards were not that good. I do love a good showdown event but than a faction boss events that is worthless in every point but back to this event. I like the characters you used in the event itself but one thing I ran into was about halfway into using my contest characters in the showdown (around 23) the bonus disappeared and when it came back the bonus was already completed and if I not mistaken the women's points were not as much as the men's. But I mean it was a good effort and was an okay event so for me I have to say 2 stars out of five.

"Am I the one who feel brazenly screwed ?"
Yes. basically. If you've been playing this game for 6+ years and you don't comprehend how the basic elements of how gacha games work with spending money to achieve things I'm not entirely sure what you expect.
I mean for what it's worth, I got Cora from the prizewall and spent $45 this weekend. I'm more than satisfied.

I didn't know this Jade character, I prefer having characters I know from TV or from older times. And I had the feeling the showdown event ended too early so I couldn't get more points I needed for the next step. Two reasons why I didn't like the event that weekend...

The event was a solid 8.5/10 but I have a question about this that's been on my mind for a few months. Why on earth would we get IOW Showdown Coin promoters and not have them help out with the contest? It would be a very good alternative to relying solely on the superstars required for the showdown a lot of people don't have (myself included).

If you spent 45$ you are not under this shit. I've valued your sarcasm as about mine experience, but exactly this experience made me frustrated. All previous SD events it was enough scores/coins for obtaining a cheapest skillplate, but not this event. I always played it the same way (full completion of SD sub event + 8 pulls in the first day) . But now something was slightly decreased by scopely in order to push players like me for additional pulls.

I thought it was decent.
I was able to finish it without having to spend much. We had plenty of grab bags and a chance to get her. At first I didn't like the new showdown requirements, but now they aren't too bad.
I do wish there were more options for contest superstars that aren't just a few of the newer ones though..
I'd say 8/10 event!

I loved it but wish there was more shards I always come so close but so far

I loved it but always end up missing about 600 shards which makes me upset

I think The Event was Good and i think The Rewards you Get from The Weekend Chase Superstar Tour should possibly be better if you Get The Weekend Chase Superstar because it requires a lot of Luck to Get The Weekend Chase Superstar

The overall weekend showdown was good. The typical weekend showdown where I didn't feel like I had to overly grind all weekend, but was able to complete the usual part of the event milestones. The energy drinks aren't limiting to what I would like to play. Last thing, I want to do is spend 28 hours grinding constantly to make the next milestone. Energy Drinks vastly limit that impulse and illogic reasoning of staying up all night to grind. The limits on defense make the grind manageable to what we are limited to on offense. We can still find defenses to put down. It might take a couple refreshes, but doable. The usual things on the prizewall I can never reach though. Mostly, I always just have enough to walk away with some shards and coins, but never enough to get a rare skill plate or something of real use. Shards are good, don't get rid of those, but would be nice to get some skill plates every once in a while.
I typically hit 13 of 14 showdown milestones (usually short a couple CSSs to prevent me from maxing). This time I only hit 12 of 14 showdown milestones. Scopely had a rather unusual limitations in their showdown that didn't make sense to the tasks that needed to be achieved in the contest. The tasks were Trickster damage dealt in showdown, RAW damage dealt in showdown, DAMAGE CTRL damage dealt in showdown. I believe all 3 of these tasks lined up with the weekend superstar, Cora Jade. What didn't make sense is to have the top leagues of the showdown limited to Modern era Striker on offense, when the new contest superstar is a Modern era Trickster. So, even the people that got the new superstar couldn't even use her in the top leagues of showdown. This also prevented me from hitting the 13th milestone in the sense I didn't have a striker DAMAGE CNTRL to use and I couldn't maximize the Trickster damage dealt since I was too high of a league I couldn't put a trickster in the first slot. It just didn't make sense to do that and could be improved upon. Please don't limit the top leagues of the showdown with something that doesn't line up with the tasks required.
Respectfully yours,

Tours:
across the board, tours seem to be in a sweet spot at the moment. generally there is an available character and if you don’t want to level them up, that’s your problem. There were also so very good rewards around the tours even if you didn’t have the contest character.
Showdown:
I’m not too fussed about the new requirements, even though my best modern tech is 5SS. Lots of people are in the same boat.
However, I could reconcile the logic of the requirements not featuring a trickster when the featured character was… a trickster. What was that about?
I also liked the bonus 90k for using trickster/damage control/RAW. That was helpful to a lot of players.
Solo/Faction contests
Again, there is a lot of good resources and prizes in both of these, and you could get through the ‘free’ milestones with a bit of hard play (actually, not even that much).
Slight negative - as usual, the faction contest was essentially a talent up. It’s be nice if there were some decent faction points in the solo milestones.
Prize wall
i see other people have mentioned this, and I have before, but I think you need a better middle ground. I pretty much did everything, except spend this weekend, and I found myself with very little of interest to buy. I mean, coin is always useful. But there are plenty of tokens around so didn’t need those. New strap? Maybe. Again, there was little here for ‘players,’ and while I know you need to cater to your ‘payers’ it’s be nice to have something.
But, you know what, I think good weekend overall.
Note: not commenting on loot - we all know by now it’s rubbish and you display your loot odds in an honest-dishonest way.

Tours:
Decent enough tours, generally good points from them.
Showdown:
I approached this completely backwards, I rushed to get to over the 3500 mark and then was stuck above that with no way to score RAW, Trickster or Damage Control points as tagging Dakota or anyone else in was always a nightmare. I lowered my defences so I could be taken down, but that didn't really work. So because I couldn't score more good points I really lost interest in the contest and stopped playing, I never ran out of energy because I never got close to using it all.
Prize wall:
Ended up with 12.2k tokens, grabbed a 6 star token and the 30mil coins and strap parts
A fine event, but the requirements do need to be signposted online earlier.

Hopefully the next showdown will not has a class and an era restriction on the 1st slot. I did like that the 2nd slot was open.
I thought the tours and the CSS has be pretty good lately

I do not think that this event was actually too terrible. While I did not have any of the required contest superstars for showdown outside of Rhonda, I did have all of the css for the limited time tours which was nice for a change. I do not mind the requirements for showdown and think that this is better than having a required class right from the beginning.
My biggest issue this weekend was with the contest prizewall. I made it further in the solo contest than I think I ever have so I had more token to spend than normal, but the items on the wall were awful. A limited amount of 6sb tokens, no 6ss tokens (those have basically disappeared from the game this month), no 5s diamond or emerald tokens, and no TP. This is crazy. I would love to be able to get a good skill plate, but I'm not going to spend the insane amounts of money to do so and again the options were not great this time. At least make it worthwhile to put time and effort into an event.

This event was ok, nothing special. I do like showdown, I did like the contest characters for the tour BUT....
1) Prize wall still kind of weak and too severely paywalled
2) All showdown contest characters except one an average player would be lucky to have, maybe do 3 paywalled and 3 that anyone could have.
3) We need women from RA and legends era, not modern

I think the new showdown is interesting and a good idea but really doesn't have a long shelf life. For example you put out tag teams or groups with links - showdown would be mostly where you use those - but with the new play mode your handcuffed by what is required. Why do your customers want to spend money to get tag team/links and partners if they cannot be used for entirety of the showdown battle. I think the weekend tours have become stale, i do like the challenge match. Maybe get ride of the weekly blitz and add that on the weekend to let players grind to get more shards of the new and previous superstars. Overall the game is becoming stale and I feel some of the new changes hurt majority of your customers. Also can you tone the AI cascades down on hell mode - it's kinda pathetic.

Man, an event like this was really what I needed after the last month or so of events. And from the sounds of it, a lot of people needed an event like this too.
- Thank god we're back to shards but if there seriously weren't going to be any shards in a scrimmage event, I would have been really concerned. Shame there wasn't any extra shards in the bags, because the shard loot we got coins for was not even close to a substitute to shards in bags - even if I did finally get the last set of Rosey shards I needed.
- Shocked at how breezy these tours were - every tour had a set of requirements that wasn't unreasonable to reach while actually containing one person you might be in your right mind to move up to 5SG or higher. Please please please take notes from this.
- Another thing to take notes from - the progression in this showdown, namely, the superstar contest. I like the idea of the damage task to actually encourage use of certain characters as opposed to just having them chill in the second slot, but it has to be in conjunction with the weird requirements you guys insist on using - limiting the top leagues to striker modern was only okay because defense was forced to be tech modern, so it was a weird checkmate of two classes starving for that next killer poster. I saw a lot of 5SGs on defense because who is bringing Tech Bayley or Shayna to 6SB? But back on topic, requiring 20m Damage with Damage CTRL characters doesn't work because you can't actually use and Damage CTRL character in the top slot, meaning you have to screw around with tags to get this done. That being said, this was still super easy to clear out, and I basically didn't play any Showdown Sunday. Mind you, this is a good thing - trying to get people to grind all the time is just going to burn a hell of a lot of people out, and sometimes it's good to get in and get out.
- I actually got a fair bit of tokens this time around, so the pricing wasn't much to complain about on the board. Still wish the option to buy more than like 100 shards was available (or the ability to buy a good handful of 25-50 packs so you aren't instantly priced out of shards) but I could actually buy something I wanted in a showdown store so kudos on that.

I find these events a lot harder than usual even trying to finish milestones. Getting these new characters you need to spend, not fair for ftp players.
