  • Se ve que este evento va estar bueno ojalá este super bueno

  • Ya quiero que sea mañana para poder jugar el nuevo evento

  • Its great getting these new characters but I feel you are brining them out far too often .. also giving players a better chance of pulling new cards would be fantastic .. the odds are definitely in the houses favour unless you have bottomless pockets and bank account !!!!!!

Espero que en este evento sea muy bueno para obtener nuevos personajes y fragmentos para lograr llegar a otro nivel y creo que será asombroso.

  • The required superstars don’t seem to be too rare for this contest which is a nice change for tours and bonus points

Do you guys sit here and think "man how are we totally going to fun players this weekend". This is an absolute show. The connection is very slow, the requirements are absolutely terrible all for a mode that has become pointless. The showdown store sucks, it's the same superstars over and over and you never change them put. The other items is their suck as well. You should have just left the old showdown the way it was and just changed out the store. At least that one had no requirements on which superstars guard to be used. This game keeps going further and further down hill.

Gonna be real honest here, I don't like the current changes implemented to Showdown. I was fine with picking certain classes at first, but now the league requirements are just ABSURD. I'm stuck playing with the only character who meets the requirements and have to defend myself with a character I have zero desire to upgrade. It's also the main reason why I don't do the normal Showdown anymore, is just not worth the hassle.

I understand the whole leveling worthless characters to 5 Silver in order to complete the weekly MLC tours, but having to do so for Showdown too has really made me go sour on a game mode I actually enjoyed and looked forward to the weekend contests.

I’m a little confused. The new weekend card Cora Jade is a trickster. The weekend showdown requirements for the top league is a striker and modern era for offensive team and technician and modern era for defensive team. Yet the bonus characters to earn bonus points, is showboat (queen zelina), trickster (Rhea and asuka), powerhouse (Raquel), Striker (Rhonda) and tech (Bayley). So basically in order for anyone to get those bonus points, we have to have a striker that is high enough to compete. Not everyone has a 6star silver Bianca or Shayna or Bliss. If we are required to use certain characters for points in an event, why are we locked out of using said characters? I understand that we can use all those bonus characters in the second slot (modern era), but that means we have to have a striker in the first slot to even compete. Make it make sense.

I really don’t see that much of a problem in it tbh, I agree not everything is good in the game atm , I also understand the problem with upgrading various Champions that Someone would normally never upgrade but it really isn’t that bad as some ppl are trying to make it look ( in the forum as a whole not just this thread) . It has been for while now that ppl should try to upgrade every class and era to be able to compete for n various contests. And this showdown isn’t as bad , the bonus champs are not too rare and also there is the added method with dealing dmg to get points. It’s not necessarily needed to have a 6 silver to compete in this showdown , I myself have no 6 silver striker either and no trouble in completing the showdown event , tons of defenses were at 5 gold only. In worst case there is the refresh button or even the possibility to „survive“ to use the tag partner tho I admit that can be slow 😂 .

Overall I must say this event is really not as bad as some others lately.

It just seems that some ppl just want to complain ( not necessarily in this thread but the forum overall ) no matter what event is done. They never are happy. Kinda annoying and again that doesn’t mean I agree with everything that is happening but it doesn’t really belong in this thread so I will stop here 😉

I totally get your points, but honestly the whole point about the characters not being "hard to get" is misleading. Sure, the first tour just asked for a Dakota Kai most people have if you been playing for a long time, even Acro Asuka, but the Showdown itself can't be treated as well when at most people will be able to only do 3 girls at best and being stuck in Milestone 12 with no chance to keep climbing unless you do pulls like you got a second mortgage (which has sadly being a trend during the latest Showdown tournaments).

And tomorrow's Tour ask for Raquel or Ronda, and nobody on their right mind would upgrade Strike Ronda.

Also to all of this, that Extra Coins from the Showdown promoters don't help you add to the score, which is frustrating for those who are basically grinding the VIP Coins for nothing. Sure, the extra Showdown coins are nice to buy stuff from the store, but when they have zero purposes during the important tournaments, why bother? You are better sticking to the old Notoriety promoters instead.

I like this game, I've kept playing it for a reason, but it's frustrating to see this models of progressions being trunked and basically punishing the players for not spinning the loot.

Really feels like in July everything was too easy and fun to get (with Shotzi, Braun and Ali practially given as freebies if you played properly) and August was a kick in the balls basically forcing you to pay or you miss the chance (like I had to for D'lo and Funk). I hope Scopely just analyze the data properly from the last two months and reach a good compromise for these events.

Honestly this game was much much funnier to play in the beginning . Yes superstars were a little harder to get but they weren't parading out superstars every single week. The game played much smoother and their weren't as many issues as we have today. It really seems like scopely has sacrificed quantity over quantity now.

  • Kevin980397465
    Kevin980397465 Member ✭✭✭

That's the point of the game. They want you to spend. The more they can do to get you to spend their going to do it. They cater to the high rollers of this game. This is why woken warriors is damn near untouchable as this faction is stacked with high roller spender. You don't think that most the advice they take and implement doesn't come from them?

  • CardenasAucapan
    CardenasAucapan Member ✭✭✭

Honestly, this is what frustrates me the most. I come here as politely as possible to give some "constructive feedback" because I know making videogames is hard as hell and they are a business who has to make money. I'm never going to ask "please make the new character obtainable just by playing every week" because there's no money to be made that way.

All I ask from Scopely is to make the challenges fun and rewarding for EVERYONE, not just the ones with a big wallet. The resources we get each week are actually pretty good and they have been very generous with them considering the current player base needs more of them to get more characters to 6 Bronze. But events like this that some of faction mates consider totally skippable are not the way to do so.

Lets hope they take in the feedback from all places and not just from those who have invested so much in the game they can't quit it.

According to the standard, we’ll look at the good and the bad (I’m tired of constantly putting everything in order, no one reads it anyway):

    Good:

    1. Medals for a clan event with shards.
    2. Light variety event with interesting rewards

    Bad:

    1. Disgusting demands in showdown. (Have you even looked at how many female striket class characters there are in the modern era? The same question applies to tehnician class characters.)There are also requirements that jump over almost every league.
    2. The wall of prizes for medals can be “received for free” (90% of the rewards are beyond the reach of a non-donating player, I’m not talking about a new character or a die, I’m talking about shards.)
    3. New character. The only advantage is the NXT tag.
    4. Disgusting connection stability, both on regular roads and in showdown mode.

    Total results:

1/10 Everything about this event is bad. From the stupid requirements for Showdown (they could have limited it to class, considering that there are only 14 striker class characters in the entire game). Dot wall of prizes for free players, not to mention the technical stability of the game.

    GOOD:

    1. I am a fan of the different SD class requirements, i think it keeps things fresh and different and reinforces the importance of diversifying when building up your roster. Sometimes it will fit your roster great and other times you will have to work a little harder. I like not seeing the same top cards over and over for every showdown.
    2. Having the 2nd slot open, The MP down perks for showdown basically ensures that you will not have opponents with their moves charged on turn 1, this easily allows for you to smartly play and last 3 turns and TAG in your stronger 'open' slot card.
    3. The tours contest superstards had a good mix and it alwasy nice to have "Any" Rhea Ripley as this gives a few options for players as there are 4 Rhea's.
    4. Prizewall. You have a few skill plates offered and some diff shards, with a few other items. Typicall mix. would like to have seen some more TP options.
    5. Energy Limits - I have no issues with this

    BAD:

    1. Limits on prize walls. Why limit someone to only xx amount of token bundle or coins or star frags, if someone accumulated enough currency, let them get all that they see fit for their roster. I do understand the Shards should have limits as that controls recruitment of new superstars and fit's in to the overall scheme of how the game is designed.
    2. For Straps - I wish there was a way to better increase the odds for the players on what ERA & Class and strap benefit we are trying to chase. The Randomness for all of these things, is just awful. There are 6 classees, 7 Era's, Women/Men. Then if you get luck to get what you want, the Strap has 7 diff bonus and even more at different % levels. ** Maybe you could offer the Strap and say it will be 1 of 3 ERA's and 1 of 3 classes, etc. Something that still keeps randomness, but slightly better towards what each person may be chasing.

    Overall 9/10

I had 4 of the 6 required superstars and got to milestone 13 / 14 in the Jade Showdown Showcase. I'm fine with this approach. If you spend more, you accumulate more, which allows more milestone = better rewards for spending. Business 101

I actually didn't mind the showdown requirements as it turns out 80% of the participants also had rubbish modern techs so I was able to make the Elite league on the first night and I actually really want to commend the 6pm BST start time which is AMAZING for UK based players.

I was not a fan of the css requirements though, all but one were premium cards so milestone progress was always going to be limited and meant that I barely played on day two.

  • Tubbz
    Tubbz Member

    GOOD:

    1. The milestone rewards seem really attainable. I was able to complete the main rewards on the main program with no trouble which makes the events easier to play knowing at the very least that I will obtain a ton of shards in the event poster.
    2. I love the use of previous month posters, in this event it was nice having Dakota Kai as a bonus superstar for both the main contest and the Showdown.
    3. The Showdown having class and link bonuses was a cool new touch to the event.

    BAD:

    1. It’s really difficult to put limitations on the women you can use when do few are available. Especially in this showdown with the lead person having to be a striker.
    2. Overall I think the specific superstars were fine, however the Asuka “The Empress Returns” as a bonus character is tough when she was originally available as a monthly prize superstar

Overall I give the contest a 9/10. The rewards were very attainable, the prize tokens can get you some decent rewards and even if I don’t claim the Cora Jade poster in this event I’m confident it won’t take many more shards to obtain her.

  • As for the showdown, I would have more problems with it if I hadn't pulled Striker Shayna some time ago. So one slot covered at 5G was okay.

As usual, you need way too many rare characters to get the final two rewards as I only had Bayley and Ronda. It took me a while to get that the DMG CTROL / Trickster requirement only triggers if you tag Shayna out as you only gain points if you have Dakota Kai (for both) or e.g. Trickster Becky are in play. In the end those points don't gain you the "silver grab bag" i.e. the penultimaze prize anyway.

That said, with the majority of the prize wall coins hidden somewhere behind the bonus prizes there is practically no hope of gaining plates, not even to mention Cora Jade at the lower level. It's just the usual catering to whales.

The usual request would be to increase the chance of getting the required stars in the contest loot pulls, as roughly half of the cards in the "very rare" (orange) tier are male stars, who have no business being there in a female contest. That said, the two notable cards I got were an old 5SB Tech Asuka and Rey Mysterio, which I can't even use.

I feel as though putting limitations on the female superstars that can be used for the Showdown isn't great. Like many other players, my female roster is much less diverse, and much weaker than my male roster.

On top of this, the requirements are for a Striker on offense, and a Technician on defense. This mean that the new Trickster Cora Jade can't be used in slot 1. In addition (and more universal a problem), the task of "do 225 damage with any trickster" does not synergize well with the restrictions, nor does the "do 225 damage with any Damage Control" also cannot be done, as no member of that faction fulfills the requirements.

These restriction ls make it feels as though success in the Showdown matches actually hampers your ability to rank up in the milestones. This doesn't feel good, and should be something that is considered more in future showdowns.

  • I really enjoyed this event. It didn’t seem as tough of a grind as events of the past. I do feel that forcing striker females to lead the showdown is tough for people to be competitive for the whole competition and I did find the bonus superstars were females that are harder to get. I did enjoy having the bonuses of trickster, damage control and raw superstars as it allowed easy bonus points. The biggest criticism I have is that the loot was advertised as 3 guaranteed features for a 40 pull and then changed to mega rare. I understand that it probably should have been Mega rare and I don’t necessarily have a problem with changing it but it would’ve been nice to get a message about it in game letting us know the blog was incorrect and should have advertised it as mega rare. I would just like better communication on that end of things otherwise I thought this event was great!

Not a bad weekend but a little boring with requirements. They were not bad but it limits you to 1 or maybe 2 posters so it gets repetitive. Unlike feud where you can swap posters as much as you want, this Showdown restriction isn't very fun especially after a Talent Up where maybe you want to test a new poster you built. Personally i feel restrictions don't work well with Showdown, it kills any interest i may have in grinding as i hate using 1 poster only over and over again.

The shard loot was actually interesting, i know i was able to recruit two new posters so i consider that part a W. Everything else was just ok and nothing more. Maybe if the Showdown part wasn't so boring for the reason stated above i'd feel a little better with the event. Prize wall was either far too expensive for what is worth or good if you are ok with resources only and don't want to spend that much.

It wasn't bad but not great either.

  • The event had its good and bad things. First I will talk about the tours. They asked for characters that one has as a goal. It should be like this in all event tours so that one can add up. I liked that they implemented the 100 pe bags. It was a very good idea. Then we have the sd, I'm not a fan of the women's sd because I don't have strong women and well I was able to play well but what I didn't like is the classes and the additional damage method because that and the classes was the only bad thing I saw I liked the event and above all I want that cora jade and I hope they add gigi dolin I also hope to win luck to everyone

  • IRLGearoid

    The good:

    • I could do everything for the event in under 2 hours across the weekend. It's nice to be able to quickly complete all the free tasks, shut off the game, and enjoy my weekend.
    • The CSS choices for the Showcase contest were more reasonable than past events. Only Raquel was unattainable without spending. The rest I have been able to recruit for free.
    • While it's not something I absolutely love, I don't mind the SD league restrictions, as long as the defensive restrictions are also strict. It's important that we're not forced to use weak characters against classes that are stacked.
    • I think it may have been a mistake but starting showdown 2 hours early is a change that would be very welcome for future events.

    The bad:

    • Lack of communication on SD timers. It's frustrating that a straightforward question can't get a Yes or No response from devs, mods, reps, TH, etc.
    • This is just personal preference but I don't know who any of these NXT releases are so it's very easy to skip all the releases this month. It doesn't really matter how strong the characters are since we all have lots of OP posters already.
    • Energy restrictions are just unnecessary. Defensive wins aren't an issue nowadays and we can't face our own faction mates, so why limit people from playing? If someone really wants to play hundreds of matches to hit an extra milestone, just let them. The end result was just some additional medallions for the event. Let people play as much as they want.
    • Taking the Sigil plate away from the free prizewall so that it could be thrown back behind a paywall without notice is ugly.
    • Prizewall item (shards especially) costs are still too high and shouldn't be limited to 1 purchase.

  • RaZor Ramon

This SD Weekend was quick and easy for me. The whole weekend was just 1 hour of playing time and maxed and it was over.

The good things were the requirements of SD was not too stringent on the requirements (Was only missing Raquel), the tour was not too difficult (was able to beat the Sunday’s tour with a 5ss Tech Ronda), and that the event was not expensive for me at all… spent zero.

The bad is still the prizewall. The prizewall should have more things to get for under 50k medallions. Typical SD weekends I’d probably spend to get 80k medallions to get the new weekend character, but this month I’ve decided to not spend for the month. One to see if I can actually play without spending except for the KoK and strap subs and second, I could really care less about NXT month tbh. I don’t know all of the NXT superstars so far and it’s okay, I’ll still take them as they are given and if they are free, but will not spend for them.

Overall, it’s a good quick weekend where I can actually spend less time on this game and do something else. I did love the event for time spent more than having fun with this game.

Wow many posts here. Didn’t read all completely..

About the Pricewall - I just don’t get one thing; How can 100 Shards of Piper, who almost everybody got for free already, cost 20K when 100 Shards of Cody cost a third of that!?

I mean it should be like a 1000 Piper Shards or a 4SB Poster to make it worth the price in comparison, to get her to 6S or level some Moves, right? Is there maybe a visual glitch?

    Generation of Jade solo contest.

    - All weekend spent

    - Some money for 8 pulls spent (as you, scopely, like)

    - 200 000 points for leaderboard

    - additional points from the 1-st event day pull pack.

    - 22 milestone in solo contest reached.

And still not enough currency to buy the cheapest skill plate from prize wall for 56 000!!!

Am I the one who feel brazenly screwed ?

Where is the edge of your greed and impudence, Scopely?
