The worst part is SD.
Ultra rare superstars which 80% won't have so they ain't maxing this s**t of a contest anyways.

I feel like I have always been Pro Scopely making money, but the expectations they created versus the reality are vastly different. And leads to upset consumers.
Probably about 2 years ago I returned to the game after an extended break. The game balance and events were in a great place. Over the past year I have felt the many events but more specifically communication have gotten worse and worse. With all of that combined with Football season and Starfield I think decreasing my engagement with game is imminent.

Okay is it not possible to achieve the last free milestone by grinding?
Unless another tour is incoming with approx 1.1m points tomorrow, you'd need all the CSS in every event to hit the milestone.
Are we aware of this? Feels like we miscounted. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Doesnt feel like funk is going to be achievable without a $300 cash injection.

so thanks for the 600k "extra" points that I won't be able to obtain due to CSS. It's ok I'll only finish around 600k shy of hitting the final milestone in the Solo contest. I guess it's only 600k extra if you are a whale. Won't spend another penny on this game either.

Saying clearly that “all” who engage the event would have a reasonable chance to get Funk and then making it completely unattainable for most anyone is a big slap.
I have CSS for everything except being able to hit the last showdown milestone. Our faction maxed that part. And yet there does not appear to be any possible way to get the needed points despite HOURS AND HOURS of grinding.
Add to that the fact that no solo MLC points were in last week’s event and we’re not made up in any way this week… and this has been some of the worst moves I’ve seen in this game.
To be clear, I love the new move types. I love the new characters, but this is in no way accessible to “all” who engage this event. This is purely backhanded to the community of this game… and it makes this week (which was a part of a very bad month) one of the biggest let-downs I’ve seen.
The only way to make Funk “attainable” to “all” as stated in the in game message to ALL players is to add in about a million contest points that you do not need any special CSS or “energy” to get to.
There’s one day left. Here’s hoping you live up to your word.

I think what irritates most people is that if Scopely had never sent out the message talking about "we are all fans first" and acting like they were doing the community a huge favor with this contest, then it would just be another unattainable paywalled card and life would go on. But instead they made a big show about how generous they were being and then made it so only the top 0.5% of the top 0.5% who somehow have the new Liv Morgan, AND the just-released Indi Hartwell, AND Raquel, even had a shot at getting Funk. Like if you're going to be that cynical about it, just charge everyone $20 for a 3SB Funk on the portal and I guarantee you there would be many many many people who would happily pay that.

Agreed 100%. I am so glad I'm not the only one who is mind boggled by all this. I've had NEARLY every single CSS at Hell Clearing level, maxed both Showdown tournaments in terms of points, and I'm still something insane like 1.7m short with only one tour left. Rocky '76 was ACTUALLY reasonably attainable via active participation. To claim Funk would be similar, USING some posturing about caring about his death in the process, while presenting us with this insane lift for the last "free" milestone is just downright insulting and disingenuous.
This has been overall the worst month for Scopely I can remember in terms of an MLC. Just an absolute disaster, contest after contest.

So when Terry passed away we received a message from you guys that "We will get Terry in free milestone cuz you guys are FAN first"
Where in reality there was no intention of giving him in free milestones then you guys shouldn't have said that.
You guys have ruined the whole event for us by putting rare css that 90% of people don't have all of them so now 90% of us will be short of some solo points from last free milestone and honestly I don't understand why you even call it a free milestones cuz we cannot achieve even free milestones nowadays without spending money.
Anyways thank you so much for ruining the event and whole week for us cuz 90% of people did play all the tours, male showdown, etc cuz they thought they can achieve last free milestone but now they all are aware of the fact that there was no real intention of giving Terry in free milestone.

Call me jaded, but I just don't see how anyone without all of the rare CSS are going to be able to get to Funk without spending.
I placed pretty well in the MM SD. I've used all of the CSS that I have in both SDs. I've beaten most of the tours with the CSS, there are a couple of Hell Modes that I can't beat. I guess what I am saying is I have very much "engaged" in the contest and I'm not even close to gwtting the shards for Funk.
This is just another example of where the community feels lied to. I almost feel like I could copy and paste my feedback at this point, its always the same thing anymore.

Yesterday i saw a blog update so i was happy i thought "hey i will get Terry" my faction maxed the event i maxed all both tours and male showdown. Today i see this stupid idea of those 600K more points hidden in both top millestones of showdown, i don not have half CSS so i am guessing no 600K points for me then i went to nikki´s tour and, oh my god, points in the last hell mode fight, i did not remember honky or shotzi have any points in the last fight so now i wonder how in every wwe wrestler´s name this event is somehow similar to other grind to obtain events (Rocky 76 and Muhammed Ali), How does someone posts Terry will be accesible if the last free millestone is at 9,9 millon points and there is now freaking way a average player gets up there to claim all Terry´s shards, this is the perfect example of how to burn down an event, add more points because there wasn´t enough (good), after that destroy everything else, stupid greed that drives this event

So after looking over the new contest and reading over the comments here and elsewhere I have to add my opinion.
I think the original message sent in-game memorializing both Bray and Terry, giving us the Fiend and his gear has turned out to be extremely misleading if not completely false.
There's just no way to obtain Terry Funk without being extremely lucky or spending hundreds of dollars if not upwards of one thousand dollars.
I really think this is a terrible look at best and predatory business practice at worst, no at worst this is standing on the grave of a wrestling icon for profit. Playing on the hearts,minds,thoughts and prayers of your players and fans.
It's just pixels and a 7 day loss on one Poster Scopely. It's not a big hit to you but could easily become a bud light type of loss if your not careful from this point forward...

I'll make it even more insane for you. As of this post, I am ranked 580 GLOBALLY in the event. That puts me, solidly, in terms of "participation", in a top 10 faction level, almost top 5. I am 1.7 MILLION POINTS short of the last "free" milestone to give me the shards to get Funk. That's how insane this is.

Ohh where to begin with this.....
engage with the event and get Terry Funk sounded like a nice week of actually wanting to play the game..... The reality is i have enegaged to my full abilaties by beating every tour to date with each of the css, got all avalable points in the male showdown which leads me to this female showdown where the misssing points are hidden in the last two milestones. I am missing 3 of the css two of which are loot only and i don't spend unless i'm garanteed something, it would take me a staggering 319 yes 319 matches to max this showdown and get those missing points that should have been free but by my calculations i won't even get 319 energy or 310 because there's 10 stuck in those BONUS milestones. I am 1,904,499 points away from the supposed last free milestone in the event and i sure don't see me getting them in the final tour, what this will also mean is i will not max the solo MLE even though i have gotten to every final free milestone on every event, maxed every TP and coin event yet i am 20k short which just so happen to be in the milestones of this event which yous have botched so badly made worse by the in game messages sent out.
the only fix i can see is putting those points from today's showdown event in the final tour or putting out another no css tour with them
you have left a sour taste in the communities mouths with how badly you have done with this event made worse by the blog which yous fixed after being told.

The infuriating thing is it really doesn't. Once you get to a certain level, at least before this month, maxing MLCs is usually pretty easy. It takes work to get there, but you can. The Rocky contest was GREAT. Maybe my favorite ever overall.
Scopely is 100% capable of doing right in terms of balance and whatnot. This month was just a bit of a black eye. Which stinks, because it's been a brutal month in general for the wrestling world. Unfortunate.

I don't see what everyone is having a problem with. I don't spend very much cause with bills and all but I do splurge. I got chainsaw charlie with my faction points and by putting in a little work but haven't spent on this contest yet. I love the contest I mean the prizes have been great slot of fun. The second showdown with the women is definitely great. For me this contest was a win usually Im jealous everybody got the Kool new players but this time I'm a winner. So forget the negative cause this contest is positively the best. Thank you

I loved the Rocky event. They were up front about what you can get for spending and you could choose to go that route or grind it out. Great! Spare me the RNG nonsense and just be transparent about paying to win.

Literally the only CSS that I'm missing are the super rare ones. Even with the 400k points I'm still pretty sure I'll be short of Funk.
I've "engaged" the hell out of this contest and as of now feel like it was completely wasted time.

I wouldn't have worded it like that but I do agree Scopely your message said just participate which a lot did do. Maybe in the future you can put it as aquire the superstars with the required superstars or getting lucky with bags. Thanks.

Not sure if already mentioned but the blog said there would be 3,000 points for every 1 indi shard you got in the faction contest but this is not in the game? Most people will have already done pulls to get the shards so hope this can be corrected and something done to resolve it thank you

You can tell how this contest has started and how it will end.You always say that you support what is right but till now this contest is going only one way, you are not giving full points, you are giving work.

And now Scopely you have a mess on your hands. Don't believe me go look at social media where you're getting bashed by F2P and spenders. You put out a message saying everyone would get Funk just for engaging in the contest. You could have put any star rarity at low milestones to back up your word that anyone who engages will get him. This is just like Ali all over again where you grind your butt off for days but still fall short just because you don't have some of the rarest champs for Showdown. Bray died and you gave out The Fiend to everyone and no disrespect to Brey because I loved him in WWE and he will truly be missed but his poster in game is outdated and doesn't really help anyone's roster or most already had him. If Brey hadn't died but Terry did would you have sent out a Terry Funk poster to everyone? Doubtful because he's new and needed to be placed behind another pay wall. Do the right thing Scopely you promised as long as players engaged in the contest they'd get him. Even if it's a 2 star it would still be honoring your words and like I said for future reference please word messages sent out differently.

In solo u say get free enough shards of Terry funk but u didnt give proper solo point to reach Max milestone of this contest so u give more 200k solo point of that contest
