How to be successfull in the monthly events.
According to me if u want to do good in any event you need recourse (like tp,coins,etc)
And for the resources to be available with u in bulk you should start to save .
What I mean by saving is what I generally do is if I have low resource in the beginning of any event then I will decide to save all my coins and tp in that event as much I can and use them in next event to the fullest.
It's a very good startegy hope you likeed it.

I usually take a month or two off to bulk up on recourses. Then try to spend accordingly. Most of the time there is not enough recourses unless you are in the top 5 of every event and maybe buy some too. It is a little annoying.

I respectfully disagree with this. If you are in one of the top factions, the rewards are enough to get you some coins needed for the coin evo.
Take my own example - I tried hoarding or saving up during Bayley MLC and then lost Sasha by 500 shards. I'm 100% sure that if I had just done a few of the coin evo and tp events, I'd have gotten her.
After that month, I have not missed a single chase character - Quake, motu HHH, HBK, Walter, Lana, zHHH. And this is not coz I have huge amount of resources. This is only coz of smart planning with Talent Up and then utilizing coins and tp better. Without any jokes - I haven't had more than 15-20 mil going into any MLC. And about 4-5k tp. Yet I end up with chase character and replenish the resources to abt the same amount with which I started the MLC.
So here's some golden rules of mine which I follow to max any MLC and get the chase character: -
1st goal -> Max TU,
2nd goal -> keep upgrading free character,
3rd goal -> max tours and enough coin and tp events (while upgrading characters who you'll need for next TU)
4th goal -> Get month chase character
5th goal -> Get ready for next TU. And repeat each month!

Very helpful response Zilconis, appreciate the quick rundown and letting us all know how these goals are obtainable. I'm sure there are a few things that could be expanded upon but for those of us that have played for a bit, this should be just enough of a nudge in the right direction to get us going. Thanks again.

How can i save resources when there is mlc every month. I can't just sit idle. Its getting harder every month.

I saved tp all month beside what was used to upgrade z Hardy. Managed to get around 10mil in coins. With 12 fuses I still was unable to complete this months tu. 4 star tokens are getting harder to obtain. But counting on 5g tokens unless your I in a top 50 faction your only going to get one or 2 if your lucky that's only if you can Max the tu.

My personal expereince shows that if you do not spend some real money, it's almost impossible to max out. Ok, unless you give up on real life and grind, grind, grind...

How many of the coin and TP events are you maxing @Zilconis? How are you getting enough coins/TP to max several, even if you're starting where you say? Lots of farming (some don't have the time to farm all day)? Buying? Maxing those events is resource draining and I never seen to be able to reset to max more than 1 or 2x each of those.

I know what you mean, but when the free character (Road Dogg this month) isn't that exciting, I find it a lot easier. I don't sit idle, I still do the daily tours, Showdown contests etc, basically anything I can do without spending large amounts of coins or TP.

Always good to save resources and go all in on the months you feel good about. The higher your roster and the better your faction, the easier this part gets. It's still a grind, but faction rewards def help.

I would guess being a top 10 faction would help with this!! Is there a guide for people not in a top faction?

That's the sad reality of being a completely f2p guy or not being in top 10 faction - there's a slim chance to get things done. The faction is so crucial for this that it can literally make or break your MLC event. There's just too many things tied into the faction event's final milestones. So I'm not sure if that can even be achieved without being in a faction that completes events.
However, if you are a spender, anything is possible with some bucks lol

So to give you an example based on the zombie event or the one before that, for the coins I maxed only till shards i.e 9/11 milestone for first 2 weeks. Then I stopped with the coin evo. And for the tp event, I only maxed the 1st one, did half for the 2nd and then even less for the next one. While I did the coin evo and tp events, I upgraded the free character to max level that I wanted ( I kept zJeff at 4b) and then worked on my next characters for upcoming TU.
Being in top 5 faction helped me max the faction events easily which give good return for blitz ( 500k coins every time for blitz) and then I also got better rewards which were mid week. That helps a lot to replenish the resources. Lastly, using the tour characters to finish off the monthly tours also helped max the solo event, which in turn again gave back some resources in the form of coins and tp.
And then there's always the prize wall, I get all the coins, as much tp as possible and blitz tickets with it. I used to buy props as well, but that wasn't available in the last MLC.

Appreciate your point of view as we all are aloud to have one on this great new form of communication. I disagree though because what you ask is monetarily not plausible for most people that play. Saving is a great way and working on the free monthly player as well, but I’ve found a bit of both is the way. The game focuses on purchasing instead of work. Right now there is no way to get further than I am with road dogg less I spend money, which I don’t have especially in a pandemic. So Atm I will save till they give a good outlet to further evolve my free player. Thanks for reading!
