The Reckoning Feud Contest

Let’s start with the shard chests. Having a chance at cards I don’t own is a great idea. Having chests with guaranteed cards is also a great idea. Where we fall short is the chests are very predictable. You can almost guarantee the guaranteed cards you will receive and they are the cards from years ago or ones you already own. You get your hopes up that you may hit on one, but then reality sets in. The shard chests on the other hand had a much better payout of all cards.
the feud itself was great without issue which was a welcome change.
I am still not a huge fan of the css portion of the contest where I would need to pull the featured card otherwise it would be between 600 to 1000 matches with the card that gives out 5k per win. Frustrating.
the best part of the whole contest in my opinion was war score and the tp that was in there. Very helpful. And to know that we were not getting a chance at a color we needed, but we knew we would get the actual color we do need was awesome. Well done.
like others have said, that Dom in hell mode was ridiculous hard, but doable.
overall, it was a well done event. Thank you.

What Grade Did I give the Reckoning Feud Event? See below
The Good, The Bad, the Event Grade
The Good: A grade for New Premium Chest with 5SB guaranteed characters in Rewards and for the new Flash Market on the website which has been surprisingly better stocked for ruby spending players. Kudos to that and hopefully, that stays. And an event within an event – Judgement Day event with multiple characters? I am intrigued not gonna lie.
The new chest was a welcome change, and I was very excited to have the possibility to get a new card from that list of characters. For months we have only had a single chest with shards at the end of feuds, and everyone in the top 100 got it. And of course, mostly just random shards of some character I already had. Only twice did I get shards from those chests and recruit a character – Keith Lee and DX Army Shawn – in all the months of feuds. So when this came out in the blog, you better believe I was excited.
And that’s why this chest is also in the Section for the Bad for this event.
I joked with my faction mates that I was destined to get Acro Rey, AJ, and trickster Edge in all my chests this weekend, and boy that turned out to be a prophecy rather than a joke. I opened 3 Rey’s to be exact, and one AJ and edge as well. And when I did a poll of champion players on Facebook and discord, roughly 88% of players received these 3 very common cards, and some like me, exclusively these 3 cards (about 250 votes). Now I get that this is a small sample of the overall large # of players in the game, but from those that I messaged, I was not the only one dissatisfied with the result. I wanted this to be a positive new development, and not a repeat of the Epic Shards Chests we get 2 times a month filled with Acro Rey and Velveteen Bron Breakker shards.
So the change is welcome, I just fear this might be a repeat of the feud shard chests they replaced. My advice for you Scopely is to do this again. I love the idea. It’s just the mechanics that need fixing. Please rotate the 5sb characters each feud so that we don’t all get 5 chests of Acro Rey each feud, and loosen the strings a little on the % that get good cards here. We all like to feel that the weekend grind was worth it. Overall, an A idea with a C execution. If 90% get characters that have been free and given out for a long time, then it’s not a premium chest.
The Feud – The Good was that it was, for most, working and working fine. Several in my faction had difficulties with having to constantly restart after each match and after engaging an opponent. I am in favor of the addition of warscore and individual CSS contests and having them separate of one another. Both of these make feuds more than just a simple grind. And the rewards in them were better -more TP and coins and tokens. Bravo. It was necessary to up those rewards.
The bad of this feud was limitations on rows and requirements, and the CSS for the individual contest was also really hard to fill. Many players, myself included, were unable to fill the middle row. I understand the need to have and make requirements here so that’s not in question – and of course, the top row should be for the premium player if you’re lucky to get him or her. My suggestion to Scopely is to first, add more points for the individual contest for wins as 5000 Is too low, and impossible to get to the next milestone – I cannot do that many trickster-only matches in a feud. The second is to open up the rows more and make them less restrictive. Make the bonuses more enticing and let us go at it. If feud is supposed to be my best roster against others, then let me throw my best out there, give me some ridiculously good perks for bottom and middle row, and let us have fun with it. That’s the point, right? This gets a B+ from me. It worked, it had achievable goals, and the rewards are way better all around. It’s the restrictions that need to be worked on.
The Event Tours – Here is a tough one to grade. Because on the one hand, we want to breeze through and get our rewards, but we also want a challenge, right? That’s why we like feuds, the challenge of beating opponents with your best roster against players that have customized and worked on making their players hard to beat. Tours are no different. That the requirements were open enough that everyone could at least attempt them was great, even if you only had Tech AJ. I appreciate and enjoy that the game is leveling up as well. The hell mode Is now hell and that brings a lot of frustration, which I'll get to in a second. But with the advent of 6s characters it was only a matter of time before the hell mode nodes of events were 6s maxed characters. I liked the two challenge tours, lots of points and opportunities in the solo tours.
The bad is something that has affected me in previous events and really irritated players I polled in my faction and on Facebook groups. The addition of plates to these computer characters made them very, very difficult to beat, if you could beat them at all. For example, Dominik has the La Familia plate. I think if the reward is worth the effort, this is less of an issue. But with players not hitting big on the new feud chests for 5sb characters, many expressed a feeling of dissatisfaction – for many the effort to beat them, only to get the chest full of Acro Rey shards was a waste of time and did not entice.
My advice for Scopely here is to choose an angle – either make the chest guaranteed with rare cards or rare shard, and therefore should be hard to get, or do the opposite – make them easier to get and we all just live with the Tech AJ posters. I think the combination of them was what made people angry the most.
I do want to add a caveat here. The game has moved to 6star and plates are a thing. I see no problem with the computer having them or for making players work to achieve victories. Just as Boss Battle leveled up recently, so did the tours. It is a wake-up call to many of us that we need to work on our rosters, myself included. But that level-up of competition needs a level-up of rewards. This feud's rewards were better than last. Keep tweaking that balance.
Lastly – Rewards.
This was a swing and a miss for many but in fact, it was also better in some ways than previous feuds. I’ve already mentioned my problem with the new premium chest, but the rewards in general were lacking. Several people I know, myself included, we discouraged from spending because it didn’t get you either enough or close enough to recruiting Priest – he was the hardest weekend chase character in a long time, so much so that many that made the leaderboard had a hard time recruiting. And this had to do with the fact that many of the characters were too rare for the contest, even among some of the biggest lineups in my and other factions. I did like the addition of a mini-kickback tour for those that pulled Priest with some moments and other rare goodies. But there was no prizewall unless you spent on the portal. So, does this mean 3 more weeks of this type of game action? I’ll put it another way. This is the Anniversary contest month, we were promised lots of giveaways and rewards and prizes, and there’s no prize wall for this feud, and only if we are lucky enough to get one of the Judgement Day characters. I hope not and I am hoping that this changes.
The event gets a B-/C+. Better than previous feuds, but room for improvement.

Great event for me. Feud worked as intended for myself anyway.. superstar contest and rewards were great. Feud warscore competition was nice with the 5B fuse card and Tour requirements were fitting to the event and were challenging but easily beatable.
More of this. Required superstars fitting to the event is nice.. and a working feud is great.
only thing I would improve is the price to spin loot. But that’s business I know.

Balance the challenge in all 3 challenge matches! Normal should mot be against a 5 stars gold. Do 5SB or 4 SG so it allows the chance for everyone to make it.
On hell mode tour, it's hard enough when we face top characters but having escape artist and other perks is a real pain.
You made it way too hard for casual players to enjoy the game!

Please never have liv on a challenge match. She’s impossible to defeat without specific characters that most people don’t have unless they spend money for them. Or at least make her the hell mode boss
especially requiring a modern era female.
also there were no portal reward claims for this event. Feels like the first time in forever there wasn’t.

Final 2 opponents on hell were setup too crazy.

the challage tour really rough. especially dominik and priest on hell difficulty. we dont mind if you put 5* or 6* on challege. but with skill plate is really not fair. pls repair your loading in feud. sometimes the match still not end but it kicks me to select opponent screen. it makes my superstar health depleted .

Feedback for Reckoning Fued Event
Positives
- Judgement Day faction coming to game is nice and I take we're going to see a few more. Priest is a good choice considering it's his only 3rd one in game. Seems like a good strong character I will pay attention to once I get enough of his shards to recruit.
- Really liked the Chests given out this time where it includes shards of rare-ish characters to. I didn't get anything to shard recruit anyone but atleast it's a slow chip away to getting there so that's a positive from me.
- Collected about 1425 shards so hopeful to slowly be able to get the rest overtime maybe 2 years after you giveaway the Tech version for free. Lol?
- No issues with this fued especially with match-making and lags/disconnect. Think it's improved a lot from when it first started.
- Feels like a lot of TPs given out this time, now that's a GREAT reward considering how much you want us to use to max TP event so this time if felt good to see a lot more given out rather than a measly 150 TP to max event. I mean seriously? 150 TP?
Negatives
- Tech Priest is still quite a rare card so to have him in mid-row felt a bit unfair to fulfill line bonuses.
- Tours felt pretty harsh especially considering you're super-boosting the last 2 from Hell node. Fully strapped with escape artist skill plate? I mean atleast open the restriction to just Class or Era then if you're planning to do that. I'm glad I had Acro Edge but for those having to use Tech AJ it's going to be struggle.
Here's an idea for fued that stems from the way Faction Boss is built. So in Boss Battle, we can open lobbies and have whoever join. It would be great to also have fued work the same way where people can open multiple lobbies (preferably up to 5) and wait for whoever their preferred fued partner is to join them as the issue with just one lobby means you could end up partnering with someone you didn't want to or for that matter partner with those who have the same Fued Line up Talent points so that could be a way to even better improve the match-making process. You should know by now those who chase leaderboard tend to partner up with the person they know are going to grind out the entire fued so having upto 5 lobbies allow people to partner up. HOWEVER, if this is going to clog up lobbies and stop people being able to fued then NO THANKS. The issue right now with Boss Battle is painful with multiple lobbies that have ended that are still taking up space. So unless this issue is fixed don't think about the multiple lobbies idea. The purpose was to allow an easier way to partner up in fued.

Excuse me if I think that if I spend a $200 I should at least get ONE character I do not have instead of 80 pos that I've had since I started...the boss battle are insane the ghost battles and connection issues are still the same and have not been addressed..there's no way to sort your belts...I have a 5ss edge and could not beat Dom or priest and u put a plate on him...been playing over a year and don't have the 1st plate or God character ND I've spent a small fortune.. tired of this bullshit. If we spend hard earned money make so we get something for it or f off

The Reckoning Feud Contest had some good things and some bad things this weekend.
The bad stuff I did not like were the shard boxes, the tour’s difficulties mainly putting plates on the 6s made it almost impossible to beat and get the shards of Priest, and the cheap shards of HoF Macho in the warscore event.
The shard boxes were a complete joke. Getting 10 shards of Veer, Acro Edge and Powerhouse Neidhart felt cheap and a slap in the face. Getting 5s Acro Rey, Tech AJ and Trix Edge that are out of today’s meta felt like I got screwed for the effort I put in this weekend with the tour.
Speaking of tours…. I did not appreciate the tour opponents all having plates like escape artist and zEdge Plates. If this was a joke, it was really cruel. Luckily I was able to get two of the three opponents done. One with Mherex’s method with Acro Edge against a 6s Trix Priest with an escape artist plate and my ingenuity of using my 5ss zMankind to beat Trix Priest for the 3 premium boxes. Only one I was not able to beat for 20 shards was the NXT.
I get that HoF Macho is supposed to be an ultra rare superstar, but 50 shards in the warscore event? I would have rather seen Veer, Tech Razor, SB Nakamura or King Woods shards. At least it would be more than 50 shards for getting 40m in a restricted feud for most. I would have loved to use other characters, but Acro Dom was my workhorse against 6s opponents. The restriction of the superstar event being a Trickster for 5k was disappointing. I would have loved an era like Modern than a class requirement for those.
The good were the packs of different superstars and price point, especially for Veer, the ruby market and the plentiful amount of resources, especially the different colors of training points.
The Veer pack was a good one with a price of $20 and I was able to shard recruit him by buying that pack. If there’s more packs of superstars that I’m close to recruiting were available, I’d be more inclined to spend to recruit.
The ruby market was great this weekend. I was able to snag a 5sg Striker Balor fuse for 18 rubies and 20 blue mp props for 38 rubies. Those deals would make me either get to the stamp step for rubies or buy rubies packs to get them. I know Striker Balor is not in today’s meta, but it’s a great deal for a 5sg fuse. Getting props or shangos for cheap are something that always needed and hope the ruby market for weekend’s event stays like that.
The vast amount of resources that you can get especially the amount of different color of training points were sorely needed with the amount it takes to level moves at 6s. I only hope there would be an opportunity to get more emerald and 6s tokens with 6ss and 6sg on the horizon. That would incentivize people to get far in the bonus milestones and to feud harder to reach the max milestones in the warscore and superstar event.
Overall, there were times this weekend where I felt sucker punched and times where I made it out like a bandit. It could be one of the better weekends I had lately, just had to think outside the box to get most of the Priest cases.

i to be honest really liked the new chest, both shard one and the guarantee poster, i hope you guys continue with it, in regards to the contest it was an okay one, the hell mode was fun a challenging but using AJ tech for hell was just horrible, he couldnt get passed hard mode... i assume if you could keep a better CSS or an open like Modern era/ or like a open class i.e Trickster or something, since you are introducing tough opponents this would be a way to go... i don't like the idea of restrictions on CSS with tough opponents...
overall i will give it a 6/10

Damien Priest is a super cool character, but gaining shards was ultimately, way too difficult. Beating priest in the tour was difficult enough, but when you add in the submission break plate and the reduce submission turn on entourage.. it becomes near impossible and can be very demotivating and disengaging. I appreciate that it has to be challenging, but once again, you either have to have an insane roster, or you have to have to be playing this as if it were your full time job. I think more can be done to encourage lower level players to want to invest their time into the game. Currently, it's only big spenders who can contend.

Where to Begin?
ok Let's go over Limited Time Tours, they were pretty good except for the Few that made me want to pull my hair out, like having escape artist on a 6 star, or a honky tonk plate on a Hard Mode Liv, and then the 6 star at the end of that tour was a nightmare. but all-around Tours were fun and engaging.
Faction Feud: ok i understand you think everyone should have Rey or Dominick at 6 star because of free shards but remember not everyone can obtain the 6 star tokens for these characters/posters/cards. The bottom-line bonus has 2 spots for tricksters, 1 showboat and then 1 Arco, the middle lane was Tech/6Star and Damian Priest Tech, NOT THE SHOWBOAT BUT THE HARD TO OBTAIN TECH!, and the top was a nice free slot since most other than our "whale" Community or players who somehow get the luck of the Irish. but I digress. we needed more open spots because sometimes it's harder for people to complete line bonuses where it has to be a specific poster/card/character most of us maybe haven't worked on. Also giving away 2 steps for people instead of allowing people to earn all the steps for feud which would encourage people to put forth more effort for their factions instead of looking at scores and being like "what the hell this is a grind, but it feels like I'm not scoring the points I should be.
Last But not "freakin" least, Rewards from Contests and Chest.... What the heck were you thinking when you put in the most basic 5 star bronze people, Tech AJ, Trickster Edge, and Acro Rey, Like Jesus Christ why would we want to keep getting the same shards over and over again you gave us over 100k shards for edge and Rey, Tech AJ is only useful as a Trainer, and most don't even think about his shards at all, out of 5 shard 5 Bronze Chest, I GOT 5 FREAKIN TRICKSTER EDGE! NOT 1, NOT 2, NOT 3, NOT 4, BUT 5 TRICKSTER EDGES. There was no variety at all from any of the chests I kept getting. Those Boxes made me feel as a player that my scores and my hard work is for nought because it doesn't matter how much I farm or progress, I won't be getting a big chance at the posters that would help my roster and possibly my faction later down the road for say maybe Faction Boss or Blitz. Also, whoever though 50 shards of Hall of Fame Randy Savage was a "nice touch" made me feel like they were like "heh let's watch them see only 50 shards of this character" even though in most feuds you would see anywhere from 200-250 shards of a poster in the milestones. Also, the Training Points from the Milestones were very nice and allowed me to recoup a lot of the Training points i have spent over the past 2-month MLC we just had.
In Ending, I feel that a lot of this could be solved by looking back at things that have been said in the past by players and streamers and content creators. Tours shouldn't be a smack in the face with Plates that are a pain to work around, Rewards should be looked at before posting or at least checking the % of what is given from the boxes from rewards/tours. Faction Feud possibly needs tested before putting out to see exactly what could fit and be accessible to most in the Free to Play Community. Alot of "whales" will have the Posters but not a lot of players who are just starting out or maybe a returning player who is trying to get back into the game.
I have said my peace, and this is how I feel toward this last event and some ways that could help later down the road to help. Thank you for Reading this and have a wonderful day and Week.

First of all, the required character the challenge tour was the bad idea, you guys can put someone else other than judgement day. Some people were unable to go through Liv Morgan tour as well, so no need to put a skill plate on a match. Overall it was good but need some changes for future.

the events are great, you can earn a lot but find in the bags there should be a higher chance that you get the character that the event is about and not always just get fragmentsand would also like it better if the 40 million milestone in the feud in the warscore event contained old skillplates that new players don't have, for example the all heart or headgame skillplate
0 -
Overall I thought the feud was decent. I felt as though adding the skill plates to the solo contest yours was ok. It definitely made things a little more difficult in winning the matches, but it just means having to adapt, improvise, and overcome. The new trickster Priest looks amazing and is definitely a character on my list of wants.
While I do enjoy maxing events and I will spend from time to time. I’m not really a fan of having to spend just to come close to maxing. I get it, companies have to make money, but it’s like a gambling addiction…you spend all this money to “win” the big prize. Few will win, many will lose. That’s just how the game is played.
Overall, the game is more challenging, engaging, frustrating at times but still fun to play.

There was some glitch in event which prevent me from playing for two hours otherwise great event done 40 m score

What was the glitch?

After thinking about this event as a whole, most of it was good in theory, and horrible execution.
Feud itself had little to no technical issues. I did not enjoy having a very limited open slots in the feud line up. Having tech Damien for middle line was horrible....while the deals on the portal and ruby market were refreshing (and obtained me tech priest via the 150 shard deals on the portal and 1 lavish 200 priest shards in the ruby market i was able to obtain him.
The tours also were annoying to do. Saturday's tour seemed the appropriate difficulty. Friday's tour felt like it should have been put into the challenge tour node as opposed to the regular tour. As others have stated, it's a cheap move by the developers, and it turns new players and old alike off to wanting to continue playing the game.
As others have said about the poster chests were a good idea but bad execution. It was a nice idea, but as others have said, only the common posters were obtained. I got 5 chests, got only Rey, AJ, and Edge. Anyone that has been league 16 or higher have oodles of shards of Edge and Rey from the giveaways from November. I also had Aj already. It would be nice to have a higher chance for the better posters in that as I agree with some other posters saying that my time was not worth the effort for the reward offered.
Another poster mentioned multiple lobbies or a way to get in with a feud partner that one might run with all the time instead of the off chance even entering the same time you get paired up with someone else as somehow that other person entered before you. I run with my husband most of the time and I have mentioned in past feedback that I'd love to have a way to where we could queue up as a team or a way that it gets you the partner you want.
The warscore competition rewards were better with training points which everyone needs with the talent ups that are in game every weekend for faction events. keep up with the better training point rewards.
Overall, this event had the potential to be decent, just some tweaks to what was done to this could make another one with this format to be decent.

The challenge modes were quite difficult. Pretty sneaky how yall used people who can destroy you on 1 turn even if you have subs. Even though that wasn't a monetary paywall, it was a Wall for most. The points for justifying I'm sure people tried multiple times but certainly disheartening.
-being able to use any form of the certain named characters were nice. I know that helped out TONS of people
- the feud match ups seemed more messed up than usual. Last 3 or 4 have been pretty even but this one seemed you would have 60k &70k draw a 100k and 80k consistently.
7/10 event wise. Did run semi smooth but with the premium character walls that leaves a bad taste to most

A very good event for paying players.
The new character is so weak that I even had to give a die to break painful ones) The wall of prizes is not clear at all for whom it was made, if it is almost impossible to get prizes from it.
The feud lagged a lot in the middle and at the end. Bonus characters, almost all paid, and if not paid, then useless. But there are still some positive developments.
For example: finally you can buy a whole character and not shards. Well, they thought of doing a clan feud event with the ability to get 90% of the points by playing pure feud.

Good contest something Different!!! Let’s have more factions!!!

I liked the new bags but the odds of getting some one other than tech AJ and Rey Acro is stupid. You think you will get something good but then you get the same guy three times like I did. Also in the tours the bonus guys need to be more common. Other than these reasons this was a good event

Congratulations on winning the giveaway!

I definitely saw the good and bad in this contest, the most annoying part being the escape artist skill plate being applied, which for me was my first sub turn on pretty much every occasion, although the added difficulty was fun to try and work around without just defaulting back to a sub guy.
The grind was expected as usual and with more time to play I could have done a lot better, but some of the more general required feud contest superstars meant that you could always be earning points, which for someone that didn’t have as much time to feud, was a nice touch.
Got a lot more tokens, coins and tp as per usual, although it would be nice to see some more 6 star tokens become more readily available soon during the future contests, but looking forward to it nonetheless.
An okay contest, but signs are good 👍
