BEST OF 2022 SHOWDOWN SCRIMMAGE FEEDBACK

Event was not as good like previous showdown events
1. Limiting the showdown coins is not good. For a player whose faction event is not maxed, them the player not able to achieve all the normal milestones. Without restriction atleast the playet will have a chance
2. Prizewall needs to have small rewards for less coins. So there should be some token or tp or something else where players can spend if they get less coins also

Hello dear sir/mam
i enjoyed playing this showdown with nice milestone rewards.
But there are things that need to be looked at
- the basic, premium bags always give the minimum shards for a superstar, there should b better odds of getting something good.
- if you spend a loot coin that should give you more points than the 6k we received
- the showdown superstar requirements for the event r tough, out of the 10 required I had 3. Would like it to be more even.
- overall I would rate this showdown at 6/10.
my 2 cents on the event. Thankyou for reading.

- Concept
I liked the idea of a weekend where we can chase posters or gears from characters that we missed previously instead of a new release. My only real disappointment was that this was a scrimmage weekend rather than a Feud or Boss weekend. Scrimmage usually gives us the best chance at recruiting a new release and some skill plates at a reasonable price, but this time we missed out on what is often the best event of the month.
- CSS Matches
The number of bonus matches felt a lot more reasonable this time around. It was nice to have the event wrapped up quickly.
- Tours
Mostly the tours were fine but the difficulty of the Happy Corbin tour was a shocker. One of the main reasons I get a starter pack is to make these tours easier, so I might skip next month's starter pack if it doesn't help me to clear weekend tours anymore.
- Shard Bags
I found these bags to be frustrating. Having all the MLC chase posters and scrimmage releases meant that I just hit shards that I don’t really need over and over again. I’d trade all the bags I opened to be able to choose a small number of shards that I actually need. I do appreciate that a lot of players got lucky and recruited posters that they missed earlier in the year, but it was disappointing for players who had most/all of the characters in there.
- Loot
I'm sure there are people who got lucky on their 47 pulls, but my own experience was pretty awful. I and some of my faction mates all had a 3SG Technician Chad Gable fuse as our 'best' pull from what would usually cost $120 each. Add this to the horrible 80 free pulls I had recently, it doesn’t exactly motivate me to drop $100 for 40 pulls on any future loot.
- Prizewall
Overall, the prizewall items were way overpriced this time and the choice of rewards was very underwhelming. Despite being 47 pulls into the bonus milestones, I still had no real options on the prizewall other than coins and TP. I would have needed to do multiple $100 pulls to have enough currency for some mediocre gears. This prizewall needed lower costs for what was offered, more powerful gears to replace the weak ones on offer, and a selection of skill plates like regular scrimmage events. Last month we had a choice of skill plates (and recruiting the new character) for around $120. This month was x2-x3 the cost for items of a much lower value.
- SD Coin Cap
We all know why this exists but unfortunately, this is another element of gameplay that has been removed. We have less to actually play/compete/grind for than ever before. Can we either remove the cap or add another side event for SD wins? I am sure I am the not only player who wants contests to involve actually playing the game.

Paywall is to big for vast majority
The 40 pull mistake was nice of Scopely to leave up, but the shards for the prize wall was locked tight behind having to spend. Finished all tours and did some grinding but only ended with 12k so just used on coins and TP, no where close for the super rare shards.
Not sure there was much chance to get the rare characters to use for the bonus points other spending $$$$, so not worth doing much else unless you open up the wallet, but that appears to be the direction now with the events. Spend more and hope you get something

Event was good...
Superstars in event were mostly obtainable during the 2022 yr...also liked how you owed your loot glitch & allowed all the opportunity to take advantage & not just those who found out minutes of it dropping...
Downside, lag...internal server errors...& paying to refresh your 3 SD opponents to only get tbe same 3 opponents again...happened more than once & was a lil frustrating

Positives
i like that there was not a new superstar and many opportunities to get shards/recruit some of the top stars of this year.
Some/most walked away with at least one new character and that helps morale.
discounts on loot pulls is nice and I know it wasn’t intended but if it happens often, many would be inclined to spend.
negatives wish there were more shard options to select from.
the loot had many common characters them at were not a significant part of the year 2022.
showdown was a grind as usual but it was doable.

Overall I think the idea of the contest was pretty good. I like giving people the chance to earn wrestlers that were released over the previous year, and I also understand that is the holiday season which can make thing pretty hectic so an event where you earn previous superstars is a great solution to reduce the stress on the workers.
My biggest complaint is with showdown as a whole not just this event, and that is the group that a player is placed in. It can be very demoralizing when you get to a certain rank or level and run into nothing but 6 stars and cannot progress forward from that point. I also understand that people will lower there scores and sandbag just to be annoying but I just think that it needs to be reworked and fixed to better the player experience.
The loot it what it is, I get that it is a gamble and you get what you get. I saw a lot of people get some really nice pulls that will help strengthen their roster and really that is all you can ask for. Not everyone can get what they want and really it should be that way, even if people do not want to hear or believe that.
Just to reiterate I think that it was a pretty good event. It doesn't always have to be a new release every event. I would like to see more events where we get older cards reworked or get gear that will make them relevant again. Things that will make the game feel fresh and can diversify players roster and allow people to use other cards. It's all about having fun and that should be the most important goal of this or any game.

Over all the event was good, but screw up for the deal on the web has made it worst, lots of people have gotten more then once. like 5-7 times so they have extra chance to get great characters, where as we felt that odds were disgusting of pulling any thing or even rare shards where not existent, i felt like we have wasted money.
May be there should be a feature where ingame player able to buy or transfer pulls from one account to other,

No technical issues with showdown event it self as normal really, you know what to expect from showdown which is a grind to max event.
far to many premium characters required for bonus points I understand it was the best of tournament but you could of mixed it and had some premium characters and some of the free characters.
it was fair after what happened with the loot coins that they were put back on for people to purchase, but to change the points scoring in the event itself was non sense, what incentive do you give to new players? Unless you have a mega roster you will get no where!, unless you spend a ridiculous amount of money you won’t be able to complete events!. Never seen a game that doesn’t look after it’s new players and offer them incentive.
the best of 2022 store for using the shards again was very pricey and designed for the players with the premium characters to use to stock up there already stacked rosters

Overall I like the concept of what the game was trying to do but it still need significant improvement in some areas
The pros :
I respect making the glitches offer available to all as that was the best course to take.
I also lied the change to include SD coins as a scoring method and reducing the # of matches needed
The cons:
I feels there shouldn't be a cap on SD coins since it is a SD event and that's the main point especially if it's due to concerns of people saving coins for a midweek event let that be the players choice.
SD Scrimmage is usually the event players have the best chance to get or come close to getting a new poster I'd perfer the prev event style with just a better prize wall and use the new style for a feud where it's harder to gain the ss connected with that playtype.
The prizwall for this event was very lackluster if you didn't pull a medal . I got decently into the milestones and had 34k medallions whi h gave coin and tp which is OK but with current abouts need to coin and tp events for the week it doesn't even cover half of the requirements. I feel allowing SD coins to be spent in these event for a certain amt of prizewall currency would help with this.

Tours - Pretty solid. A couple tougher css characters for the masses but overall not too bad. The mixup in the tour difficulty for the free mlc character tour and the hof tour made for an interesting time.
Contest milestones - VERY big stretch goal this time around. The “free” milestones had some decent offerings, but unless you got in early on the “mess up” on the portal you weren’t coming close to getting anything worthwhile from the PW.
SD Contest - Business as usual. Had about half of the css characters. The SD coin cap made for a super easy weekend of not playing the game.
Overall, I enjoyed the less hectic weekend contest while also being able to get a bit closer to some character unlocks.

I did finally get acro montez. But loot coin wise I usually only do it for the points in milestones or if it helps the faction. I liked this event due to the milestones having bags w really good character shards. They are hard to get when they come out or in loot so this event made those shards more attainable. Itd be cool if this type was quarterly.

Pros
Basic Showdown event.
Prize ball had more ways to spend coins won, so not as limited in the past. Nice to not have so many left over coins that are won that can't be used.
Loved the trade ability of the Gold/Silver and having enough Bronze for the trades.
The max of Showdown Coins was nice, so wasn't capped, but a bar to shoot for.
Cons
Very limited with the showdown stars, so was limited on how many extra solo points.
The 5 guaranteed included a lot of lower tier shards, for people who spend, would be nice to see a higher reward for the bigger pulls so a little more bang for the buck.
Suggestions
Would be nice to see the ability to achieve the solo with other stars that are more available. Maybe adding some older Tier B or C stars in the mix for points. Even if a smaller amount and needing to grind, but the options for more players without specific stars still have a chance at getting somewhere in the solo contest, but a grind. Would be a lot of time, but then gives others the chance to rack up solo points for a contest.
Overall a fun event, nice way to get shards and CSS from the year I wanted on my list.
Need a way to play for specific TP bags would be nice. With as many CSS so many got, would be cool to see a way for specific TP bags in the Shirt prize wall or even the weekend event. Charge a little more of the shards or coins for Specific colors.

It was an excellent contest and we need more of them like it. Great job scopely.

This was a solid event in my opinion. I liked having a chance to earn some of the cards that I missed previously, and I managed to get 3 of them.
Prizewall was reasonable, Showdown ran smoothly, I don't have any negative comments for once. Great job 👏

The event was soso. I do like the concept of having an event for catchup to get some of the previously missed superstars. I got what i was hoping for out of the weekend though a lot of those bags could have had a lot less superstars to choose from as another person previously stated.
I'd like to see more events for catch up or events like the previous bulldog event wherre we could grind him out. I want events where i am on the game more to play than just get my points and forget about the event.

if your defense has promoters on they will boost what you lose on defense as well. No there was no intent to limit what players can get. Nothing was changed about how notoriety is gained or lost.

I quite enjoyed it . Not sure if the 40 coin thing was staged to get people to spend.
it’s always annoying not having the right characters but I suppose that’s part of the game
overall I think it was quite fair

The prizewall sucked, the loot screw up which you baited ppl to buy the pack after adjusting the odds of the loot. Highly disappointed in how much this game is becoming pay to play. CSS superstars that you know damn well very few players actually have is ridiculous. Also please tell me how the hell anyone has the monthly free superstar at 5 star off the bat and can earn the 5 star rewards every week

This game is fun but not going to give an excellent playing experience to F2P or occasional spender like me. Individual milestones are impossible, unless you spend your salary away, and get the required SS.
Prize wall is too expensive for players like us because again don't have required SS. At times, it's just no fun to even participate on an event, and becomes exhausting.
I feels there shouldn't be a cap on SD coins since it is a SD event and that's the main point
Plus the pull rates for the key pulls are beyond horrible in the whole time i have played i have only got better then a 3 star 3 time and I have been playing since basically the beginning

Loved the event after we got the 47 pulls for $20 bucks. Just wish there was an opportunity for the f2p to get a medallion as well.

Made it to the 23rd milestone and wasn't able to get 100 shards for any of the 6 ss I need them for. It seems like you only get shards for the ss you have already. The prizewall was awful if you didn't get super lucky and get a token. My only option was coins. Should've at least been able to aquire shards for different ss. Even if it was a small amount it would've been way better.

figured it would of been better pull rates

The good thing about the event was it created very good hype when it was announced and upto some extent it does live upto expectation.
pros
for me the showdown event run smoothly there was no lags and bugs. the buffer u added between attack and defense helped lot to gain notoriety score in compettion. the bugs in the silver loot pack helped lot to get a new some rare superstar
cons
1. the points for collecting showdown coin should had 10 instead of 9.
2. the amount of points for month long solo contest should had more in the limited time tour.
3. collecting the faction contest point was difficult in the limited time tour becuase of requirement of rare superstar and being in top 30 faction it was difficult to help a faction because the otherway of getting points was by increasing the talent of superstar majority of them was rare superstar and the other superstar was maxed out for me. so it was difficult
4.You should had added some amount of solo showdown contest points in the limited time tour.
5. the amount of scrimmage medallions in bronze , silver , and gold chest should be increase.

GOOD:
Easy SD contest, only took an hour to max it
BAD:
Even I bought loot coins and earn Medallions still not good enought to exchange nice prize on prizewall , I can only mange to exhcnage coin/TP
SD coin limited , I know why you guy do that, but maybe can lower SD coin points? instead of limited
OTHERS:
I think is time to get a better sort system that you can sort your superstars as there way too many superstars in roster now , I have to scroll many times to the bottom roll

Well this event was average at best I like the idea of getting a weekend contest of past top superstars which we missed recruiting or shards but the event was only fair to half of the base, community as they had certain req superstars whereas other half got nothing after giving their best shot the pulls were okay the tours were heavily influenced by premium superstars as contest superstars which affected solo contest and req ss for sd were okay and about faction contest it was worse of them all as we needed those premium ss to level up to gain points and freebies which were already leveled up by us in past so there was no space or talent left to level up and prizewall was good was full of top S tier superstars but we needed bronze or silver or gold coin to get them which chances were 1 or 2% maybe other than pull and scrimmage/medallion etc were not enough to buy anything good from the prizewall apart from coins and tps and basically was useless only those who could max were benefitted from that cause moments or gears were there in pz as they bought it other than this it was okay
Thank you

Was a good Showdown event, no bugs or any technical issues. Faction talent up was a bit high and the superstars required to talent up, many people had them worked up.. the ones I had were worked up already at a high level. Tours were fine, no issue.
Points deducted for taking advantage of a mistake you made was a bit insensitive. Many people could of got an extra milestone from it If you didn't take points away. The high spenders would of spent regardless which they did, many people got nothing but shards from loot while others hit the jackpot.
