Is it just me or is the backstage pass just a scam nowadays?

So I was someone who saw the backstage pass as having some value when it came out. At first the bags would usually contain 75-150 shards of the chase. Around 20k solo points 15-25 k faction points and various assortment of tokens, tps and coins. And, it gave 50k+ solo and 10k+ faction points in the weekend event (Not much but good enough to cover 2-3 of the first few bonus milestones).

Then gradually the weekend event points reduced to 5k each and the solo contest points went down to 5-10k as well. This, even as the number of bags went up from 8 to 11. I didn't have much of a problem though, as my main goal was to get enough shards for the chase which was still a decent chunk going up to 125-200 in the last MLC.

This month however even the shards seem to have taken a hit. I got only 105 shards in the first week pass. Not a problem, I just assumed it was one of the days where the RNG was at its worst. It was rare but I've been there before. Then, last week, it went down to 65. That felt bad but I hoped it would get better. But then this was today. 35 measly shards. At the rate shown by them of 15-100(?) It means that out of 11 bags given out each having a number of items, I got only 2 sets of shards. One of 15 and one of 20. I don't even see a considerable bump in any of the other resources that could reasonably explain this drop. At this point, I need to ask, what is even the effing point of the backstage pass? It just seems like something to pay for to get extra offers to spend money on now.

Is it just me who is getting a raw deal from the backstage pass bags? Or is anyone else getting Scopelyed? The last time the haul from the bags was this bad, they actually acknowledged that there was an issue with the bags and sent over some extra ones but don't know if that's the case this time around.
