80 free loot coins from weekend

Good Morning,

I have thought about it all weekend on whether I was going to post this and I decided it needs to be discussed and transparency needs to happen.

A year ago I heard a rumor about a few guys in a faction that had a way to purchase loot coins from someone at scopely direct for half the price as what was advertised. I took it as a ex disgruntled faction mate who was talking down on his former faction.

Friday night when that message sent with the loot coins it changed everything. We have all had messages from Scopely support and they are always formal.

The first thing about this message is the subject name is not anything that support usually uses when they need to send something to a player. It is very informal. It also has the name of the person who just so happened to be in first place in the solo event at the time.

The 2nd thing about this message is the word ENJOY! Again when support sends a anything they leave a message in the support chat and the inbox is very formal of "a gift from admin" Though this seems as a innocent term what made the person in support put this and in caps?

The 3rd thing about the message is the wording. Support is always formal, yet in this message they are very informal, like they are talking to a friend or a coworker they like.

The last thing about the message is the coins. Support says here are the OTHER 80 coins. I have looked several times and have not seen any offer where there was 80 or 160 coins being sold to the playerbase. What were these coins for?

I have spend thousands of dollars on this game chasing the leaderboard and this weekend has made me believe that there is a uneven playing field. With the amount of money myself and many others have spent, I am expecting a very open and transparent investigation on why these coins were sent. This has put a very uneasy feeling about purchasing things from Scopely that only a open and transparent investigation could put back to ease.

Hello Scottino, there is no way to purchase directly from a DEV. The team is investigating this issue and will handle it. Thank you for your feedback on this matter

This is not an acceptable answer. Will we, the player base, expect to see an update on the outcome of your findings? Your response has done nothing to ease the unsettling questions as to what is going on behind closed doors at your company. I believe Scottino has hit some very pertinent points that need public addressing as, despite your assertions (which is all they are), all we can assume is that either:

    1) There are some VERY shady dealings going on between Scopely employees and a select few players, which creates an unbalanced playing field,

    or

    2) That someone somehow managed to bypass Scopely IT security and send loot coins to a player, which raises questions as to how secure our personal data is within your systems.

Either way, this needs a serious response. The fact this was definitely not the only coins sent also needs addressing. There are some huge ramifications of this message that cannot be swept under the carpet which your response seems like you're trying to do. There are a lot of people who have spent a lot of money and we need answers.

Your saying that a dev member has never had any cash app, zelle, pay pal etc. They have the ability to send "gift from admin" so how can you flat out say this isn't what has happened.

Exactly. How stringently are in game messages to players from admins monitored? Especially those with attachments. There is no physical monetary loss as this is just a transfer of data so we need answers.

This is absolutely nuts if true which seems like it very well could be. Wow...

And cue the mods to shut this down for "spreading conspiracies" in 3..2..1...
