  • The Shayna character looks great. However nerfing the feud perks has made some key characters for free to play players extremely slow to use or unusable. The needs to be some kind of mechanic put into game to make free to play characters like Carmella and Str Sasha useable again. The feud perks being nerfed is great however in order to level the playing field for f2p and p2p/p2w characters some of the older characters need to be reworked.

  • For me, the best part of the game is faction oriented. Faction participation and rewards have been the reason for MOST of my time playing this game. The scaling back of faction rewards is both unrequested and unwarranted. What’s the point of grinding anymore?… and if you don’t want players grinding it out, at least give us the pleasure of feeling good about our choice to spend with offers that give more control/flexibility with rosters and game modes.

All the events are starting to suck its becoming a pay to play game and you guys are catering to the spenders loot odds are ridiculous I've spent enough and have really nothing to show for it

Mherex has pretty much nailed the issues

This was the worst feud event since I started playing this game over 2 years ago

The time and effort invested was simply not worth the poor rewards on offer, and having a womens feud really highlighted the poor scoring system in place after the new perk changes

Feud rewards used to make the grind worth it, not sure if it is because you are still balancing the game economy with the introduction of 6s, but the rewards and resources are too poor/underwhelming. It just feels like a wasted weekend participating in this feud event

Chat within my faction is pretty negative too, I dont really know anyone who enjoyed this feud, the game should be rewarding and fun and today has been neither

  • The event felt standard to me as the playerbase continues to get less for free. Although better than paying, having the talent up be a huge portion of the faction event is demoralizing especially after a huge talent up event just ended. This is all done to receive subpar rewards. Getting all of the achievable items possible is the point of the game but it is not enjoyable. The feud and tour requirements were fine.

  • Tours = great for most part, no complaints.

Fued perks = nerf was unnecessary.

Fued = with a busy schedule between work and family, I don't have the time for drawn out matches. Purpose of the wrestlers I built up were for turn 1/turn 2. I like to get in, take care of business and move on to next match.

    Rewards = very lackluster.

Overall event was decent, but could've been better. When posting an blog, make sure it actually accurate, stop hiding behind the "subject to change " its an cop out for making mistakes. Listen to the players, they are the ones playing and spending money on your game. If you keep ignoring the players and their feedbacks, all you are doing is driving them away.

All of the new characters this MLc are known as submission wrestlers. It is ironic that this is the month you nerf submission perks in feud.

Tours were fine. The rewards left a lot to be desired though.

Rewards have been some of the worst we have seen in a while. Players play events to earn rewards. Without quality rewards, what is the motivation to participate? Players who do not spend but are willing to grind should be able to max events as well.

Having earned all possible rewards from tours, solo feud score, and faction events, I’m just at 50% of the shards needed to recruit. If players do not have an ability to get remotely close to recruiting and are not provided any other opportunities to get the necessary shards, you have expected them to spend time and money for no real benefit.

If you want to truly want to balance feuds, just drop perks all together. As unrealistic as that would be, at this point in the game, it is also unrealistic to think players are happy with the overreaction by Scopely of reducing perk benefits of submission moves, multiply gems, gem generation and mp when matching gems.

The balancing in perks should have been to raise the perk benefit of characters who weren’t performing at the level of the characters so many players had spent tons of resources in leveling up. It should not be punishing those players who spent thousands of TP and millions of coins leveling their characters.

This event has led to many players consider leaving the game for good. These are players that have played for years now. That should explain how terrible this player experience has been.

  • Feuds have always been my favorite part of the game but not much anymore. I also noticed inconsistencies at times when receiving my war score. Once I can remember in my opening match of a feud, my Becky defeated a 5sg Charlotte with 3+mil health, drained her of all of health and not counting the iow trainer, I got 140k that match. First time with plus 5sg win should've been 130k right there. Only 10k for the damage? There's definitely been a decrease anyways with the points that we are getting per win which makes it more work to get your 40 mil warscore and nothing better in rewards.

I finished top 120 and I may as well stopped at 25 mil. Leaderboard solo points rewards are nice, but don't mean much when next Milestone in 600k away. Feud was messy as it was, the perk change made it longer as well and not enjoyable.

  • If an acro or trick had the ability to dodge i would say 98% of the time it went off turn 1. Faced 1 alundra whos skip turn went off 5 times in a row with almost the full pin bar to play with. Ai for me was definitely not balanced.

Liv using reversal and then all your moves are frozen is the worst.

Went to 25mil in warscore but gave up after that as was zero fun to even play.

I may be ftp but for someone that has been playing the game for over 5 years to still pretty much always be restricted on filling line bonus is a real pain.

Other than that agree with points all ready made

  • Worst event is a very long time. Way to kill my favorite mode . Making the thought of retiring easier and easier every week

So basically, it was so bad I nearly quit the game.

the matches was horribly long and drawn out. I have 5*f HOF Chyna, that was taking 15 minutes to win a match. It was, long, boring and not worth the effort.

I went f2p a couple of months ago because I realised spending some money is a waste unless you prepared to spend thousands, but it’s just more and more becoming p2p, spending should make it easier, not be a necessity.

Feel like if you guys don’t sort it out soon the game won’t be around much longer, coz it feels like please are just starting to get sick and tired of the rubbish. It’s a game, it’s meant to be fun. It ain’t been fun lately

I get the reduced perks, it made the feud more challenging. What's the point in having a warscore event if you can max it in a few hours? Maxing the warscore event should be a challenge, but that challenge should be rewarded. I agree with other posters about rewards being more customised. The rewards this time were simply not worth the effort, and for the first time since they began I did not max the warscore event.

Too many changes made at once on this event I feel.

The tours were good, which probably means next time they will be significantly more difficult, but at least then we'll be moaning about that rather than the distinct step backwards in the rewards. If you're going to make an event harder to max, common sense would dictate that the rewards should not be significantly reduced at the same time. This has only served to bring excess criticism for a change that could have been for the better.

Recently the new characters are too unachievable without significant spending, which as many others have pointed out actually has the opposite effect and reduces what people are willing to spend.

A bit of an own goal really.

  • Great character hope to get her one day. Event was pretty good as well. Wish there was better done with the perk change more in the middle but I get it's a work in progress.

  • Tours: You do well on the tours but if you at least put the 6s chest on something that is easier to get than on the chase weekend character whom not many will be able to get.

The milestone rewards were subpar and not really worth getting.

Feud: This feud was one of the tougher feuds that I have done in the last couple of hears for pour rewards. When you nerfed the perks you should of also taken away the steps as well, not to mention that the ORIGIONAL blog that was put out said that no extra steps were able to be had was false. I of course know now that that was changed to steps can be gotten with extra rewards in the shop. I know everything is subject to change but still a pay to play game for the most part again. If I wasn't in a top faction this would of been one that I would have skipped.

Another weekend that just wasn't very good.Rewards were lacking, fued event was boring.Tourneys were ok but the rewards in them need a serious upgrade.

  • Mherex is on point. Everyone was grinding hard but for what? The rewards were shit, it took longer to get the points for no rewards. I have over 1.25 million might and 250 on the roster and of the events take players I don’t have so no bonus rewards. I spend money just to get shards of players I already have.

  • Zandal
    Zandal Member ✭✭✭

Every point that Mherex made I fully support . While Shyana was a decent card the event milestones while reasonably easy to achieve didn't provide enough incentive to go for 25mil let alone 40 I suggest making a prizewall where if u get to 40 mil you can get a special Feud currency spend it on shards for prev feud SS akin to the SD scrimmage prizewall.

  • Just echoing Mherex, 2bob29, and Dear You's thoughts.

This is only the 2nd feud in the last year where I didn't go for 40mil warscore. It wasn't worth my time and the grind was actually too grindy. The fact spenders could outright buy someone out of top 10 or whatever feels extremely horrible. The fact you can spend almost the full 20 hours feuding and lose your top 10 spot to someone who spent an hour feuding is such hot garbage.

The tours were good-ish. CSS requirements weren't ultra premium rare characters which was nice, but the feud as a whole was easily the worst we've had in over a year.

You say that you listen to the feedback we provide, but it seems nothing is done. The "Subject to Change" is pretty ridiculous if Scopely won't even send out a tweet or in game message that they're adjusting things in feud prior to it starting. I'm not saying that a message like that would fix everything magically, but the communication is just so bad.

Final words as it's been stated. If you aren't going to listen to the community you should at the very least listen to ALL of your content creators especially when they say something isn't worth it. They are your ambassadors for the game. Treat them as such if you aren't going to put forth any effort to change things for the better.

The event was average at best. The only reason I feuded enough to score 25m was to get the remaining shards I needed of the old Shayna. Besides that, the other rewards were the usual trash so didn’t bother with maxing the warscore.

  • DrWhargoul
    DrWhargoul Member ✭✭✭✭

Seems like the old tactic of slowly taking back anything good/fun to see if you can get away with it is alive and well.

I've long argued that feud rewards aren't worth the effort required to attain them. We are firmly back into that territory. These feud rewards are 3 years ago bad.

The lack of interplay between events is poor. Nothing in the feud or faction events feeds the individual. They should.

The chests were ridiculously bad. Way too many different things in them and all I got out of them was 10 or 20 shards of characters I already have and don't use. What's even the point?

I got surprisingly far on the individual this time. Why? I pulled tech Shayna when you rolled her out and got all the bonus points from that tour. What ever happened to people pulling the new character from a chest during their rollout because its been a long time since anyone in my faction had it happen. (See paragraph 1)

So I made 17/20 individual milestones, hit 10mill in warscore. What do I have to show for it? 700 new Shayna shards. Not even half. Last year you could reliably hit half. It's just not good.

    Lukeario23 Member ✭✭✭

This was certainly a mixed bag of an event. Let’s start with the positives.

Tours - great, not hidden behind S tier paywalled superstars so hitting 18/20 solo event milestones was doable just from playing the tours.

Shayna - looks like a very solid character and not too game breaking.

and that’s all I’ve got for the positives.

    negatives

Faction event - the rewards were absolutely horrible and I mean horrible. Why would any sane faction want to force their players into around 30k worth of Smackdown talent up for 5K strap parts and some other rng items?

warscore event - dreadful rewards for the time needed to earn them. If you’re expecting players to spend a portion of their day playing to hit 40m you need to put something enticing in there rather than a small amount of coins and an RNG strap which will be sold more than likely.

feud perks - now I was very sceptical about these at first glance and I can say as a hardcore feuder they could do with some small tweaks for the next MLC.

The sub perk needed addressing and rightly so as it was really overpowered.

The multiply gem x 2 could have been halved into x1 as this has severely hurt damage output on many characters who rely on multi gems and for those players who don’t have Matt Hardy this is a huge kick in the face for them.

+2 for a gem match perk was sorely missed and something I personally think needs adding back in. Even if you made it +1 it would be helpful. For a character like powerhouse Big E, his finisher is 18mp so getting that charged is taking numerous turns now making him effectively useless in all game modes other than tours.

the random +1 extra multiply gems benefits who exactly? Most of the newer superstars create areas or ALL gems into multiply. This basically benefits DX Shawn and that’s it. You’d be better off in having +1 on ALL special gems to cover all bases.

on the basis of feuds this is where it gets juicy. You claimed you changed feud perks for a more ‘balanced’ gaming experience. You then did a total u turn and sold ‘unbalanced’ warscore steps in the store. If that’s not contradicting then I don’t know what it. If you want a balanced feud then scrap warscore steps altogether. This means players who sunk resources and time into getting the feud promoters are rewarded via the intended warscore they bring. Every player in the game has access to getting the promoters whereas not every player can afford to buy max steps every feud.

i was honestly annoyed when I saw in game the steps were for sale after reading the blog the day before which said ‘no additional warscore steps’

there needs to be much better communication between the devs and the person who writes the blog as there’s almost always a mistake where you play the good ol ‘subject to change’ card.

feud activity was massively down overall. I missed 8 hours of it and still ranked in the top 40 of the warscore contest with zero money spent on steps.

1st I enjoy this game better than any other game I play or have played. However this feud was one of the worst events ever since this game started. There were several issues that have been acknowledged by many others so I will not go into those details. I will offer one main remedy that will make most if not all happy with feud going forward. That solution is to simply increase the rewards all the way round. From the solo to the faction to the faction ranking to the tours. There needs to an increase of TP,coins, good belts and especially shards. This weekends feud would have been a success and more would have played out to the 40 mil if there were 100 shards of say Rocker Shawn 100 shards of Cody 100 shards or some of the other desired characters. Also finally the biggest incentive to feud more would be if you added more levels instead of 15 mil,25 mil and 40 mil how about 15,20,25,30,40,50,60,75,90,100 with higher shard levels as well as 2*poster and 3*poster as final levels rewards. Those would be changes that would get the players excited to play.

I wish that there was more that I could add to the posts Mherex, ironsheik84 and 2bob29 (just to name a few) provided earlier within this thread.

Overall, this contest gets a grade of C+ for the weekend. Shayna Baszler as a new character is very impressive. The LT tours and solo contest were decent and doable for the most part.

The Warscore competition and faction contest milestones needs severe improvement in terms of the rewards in my opinion. More specifically, the resources. Leveling up one move for a 5SG character costs 1,000 TP. We need much larger denominations of TP (I suggest 250-500+) especially once you get past milestone 8.

Offer shards from recent chase characters from recent previous MLC events within the milestones as opposed to shards of common characters that players can already get quite easily from various sources (i.e. daily login shard chests, key pulls and League loot).

I would also like an increase of shards for the featured weekend contest superstar from the grab bags obtained from the tours. 10 shards per grab bag seems a tad bit low, especially when F2P players may not have all the the CSS needed for the tour bonuses.

The changing of the feud perks were okay in terms of shaking things up but then to nerf the submission damage and remove special gems bonuses resulted in longer brawls.

The feud steps bonus was a debacle to say the least. Blog reveal says no further feud steps bonus will be offered outside of the freebie available from the portal. Only to have the very same feud steps available for purchase from the faction shop once the feud event goes live is not a good look.

In all honesty, faction feuds used to be fun before feud perks became a thing. Now, even the line fill bonuses make little sense when slot requirements are factored in.

In closing I'd like to thank Scopely for providing a platform for the WWE Champions community to provide feedback / suggestions in order to improve the game for a more positive player experience.

This event follows the trend of seemingly discouraging players from actually playing the game. It’s clear that many long-time hardcore players, and even your own content creators, are less engaged in the game than ever. I hope that the constructive feedback from some very smart players will be listened to.

    Tours:

    • This was the positive part of the event. The requirements were fair and players could get to MS18 of the event if they had the CSS.

    Warscore Event:

    • Have we had enough of this new design yet? The feedback has been consistently negative since the format changed. Those who spent another 20 hours feuding this weekend deserve better than being pushed out of the top 50 after feud has ended.
    • The milestone rewards were awful. Tech Shayna shards as the highlight? Wow. I saw so many players who consistently max the warscore event stop after 10m or 25m this time. Surely this isn’t what you want? Bring back the poster or improve the scoring system. Add some shards of the recent feud event releases or better yet, some kind of shard prizewall to allow players to choose.

    Faction Event:

    • Dreadful. 20-30k of SD talent up for some strap parts and some random rewards. Nowhere close to worthwhile. I’m glad my faction was among those who skipped maxing this one.

    Perks:

    • Change was overdue here as we’ve had the same perks for a long time but I felt these changes were a bit drastic and reduced damage for almost all characters across the board. I’d much prefer to see monthly feud perks rotate from month to month to allow certain characters to become very powerful for a feud or two.

    Solo Event:

    • The big negative of the whole weekend was the poor rewards. Nothing to get excited about, no reason to chase warscore rank, nothing to chase in the paid milestones. What was the point of this event?

    Warscore Steps:

    • Advertising the event as having no additional steps was well received and then we all saw them appear in store. If players really want to compete on the leaderboard, do you really need to milk that small number of players for more money? Just let them play on a level playing field.
    • The weekly $5 steps pack is now gone due to the weekly schedule change, so there’s another purchase I can save on. I guess this counts as another positive because my desire to spend is at absolute zero now.

Edit to mention the RNG bags. Were these supposed to be 1000-2000 shards or something? 10-20 shards of old mid-tier characters that almost everyone has was absolutely laughable. Make the shard options newer, rare characters or huge amounts of older characters to help with 6 star shard conversion.

Feedback for Shayna Female Fued Event

    Positives

    • Unfortunately this is going to be a short list as it's pretty evident this entire event was very poorly executed so I only have 2 positives to add: 1) The Tours were great with the CSS requirement and the level alloted to all the tours so they were easy to complete allowing you to get to Milestone 18/20 quite easily so long as you had Rowdy Ronda and Stephanie "Queen" and both have been fairly obtainable so I'm assuming most would have been able to reach milestone 18.
    • I'm turning this one from a negative to a positive: Not needing to fued like a madman and losing sleep trying to reach 40m warscore. I read all the comments and decided to just aim for 10m and call it. It was also evident most of my faction mates and majority of the community decided not to pursue the 40m warscore given the poor rewards and no incentive to maximise.

    Negatives

*Cracks Knuckles* Just kidding, you know what considering the amount of negative feedback already provided I don't think there's anything new I can add other than just repeating what majority have already stated.

So here's some suggestions for improvements instead:

    • Fued perks should not have been heavily nerfed to the point of making it go from one end of the spectrum to the other. You could have atleast minimised the effect like instead of making color submission turns +3 at max, then reduce it to +1 but still keep 100%. Similarly do that for the rest like special gems, multi-gems etc.
    • If you were going to nerf the perks so much then atleast make the line-up easier to fill and give out stronger bonuses so that you're not completely offsetting the gameplay but allow a balance somewhere.
    • Honestly, if this change is to remain then I would highly suggest reducing the maximum warscore from 40m to 20m instead. Atleast that doesn't require us to grind out our weekend and still allow us to maximise warscore. I looked at the top 100 leaderboards 8 hours before the fued ended and can see the bottom of the scores were those in the 45m mark which shows there's been such a displeasure with trying to go for 40m warscore or if you still wanted to keep 40m warscore then you'd have to put up a reward worthy of a grind like a Titan Skill Plate or some other rare skill plate that's worthy to grind rather than some random chance at ultimate strap and skill plate,
    • The Faction event has been for the first and in a very long time horrible! Barely any points given out and requiring us to find Smackdown superstars for us to use our resources on is such a waste. This meant not many of us were able to do our 1% and we fell short of the last Faction Milestone. This is such a crushing disappointment especially to those in our faction who've spent more than their fair share but the rest of us just means we're either forced to use our resources or not be able to help at all as there's nothing more we could do. Please improve this going forward.

I really enjoyed fued up until this weekend's where I couldn't hit the 40m warscore where previously it was actually fun to race and get to 40m. When you make it a chore then that's where it just feels disgusting and make us less interested. I started enjoying fued when Perks weren't nerfed and Fued Promoters were added to the game but it's like going backwards again... so please Scopely consider making changes at the next Flash Fued and don't make this a repeat.

Everything has pretty much been said already, but I wanted to reiterate what got under my skin in particular. The addition of the solo tours for the faction feud contest has been a great addition, imo. But, the parts of the contest that were supposed to done with your faction in mind sucked. The rewards were trash and gave zero incentive to work together as a team.

Also, so many people talk about how the game is being catered to the P2P people. I’m far from free to play, and I want to say that’s a false comment. Yeah, some aspects can be a little easier, but overall the F2P are better off because they’re not wasting their money on garbage.

I spent way more money that I should have on the last couple of contests, because these were women that I really wanted, and let me tell you something. That won’t happen again until the RNG and odds aren’t completely atrocious. Which they currently are.

I 100% understand that Scopely is a company and want to generate cash flow, but I think y’all have tipped the scales to making more people not want to even attempt spending when there’s not even a chance at getting something great.

Has anyone watched anything lately from the content creators where their pulls are nothing but almost all crap? I know I haven’t. It’s disappointing and sad overall for the entire community. If I was F2P, where’s my incentive for attempting to spend some $ on this game? Where’s the allure in knowing there’s almost no hope of getting the features character?

Eh, I think this is my longest comment here, but the odds getting worse and worse has really put a damper on my enjoyment of the game.

    edit to add:

Seriously. That faction contest was a joke. Only FIVE out of how many thousand factions hit the 7 million points to max it. Garbage.
