Talent Increase Tasks Need Revamped

So, one thing that came up heavily in my faction and I'm sure other factions as well during this last feud/contest were the Talent Up requirements. One thing was the limited-time aspect. I'm not a fan myself, but I can at least see the idea. The real issue is how talent up works in general. Here's what I mean:

Let's look at the Chyna talent up requirements - there are 3x Chyna's in the game. All of them, when released, were pretty high on the tier list. As a result, most people that have been playing for a while probably have all three at 9k+ talent or possibly even 15k+ talent. The idea of adding another 20k of talent among just three people simply doesn't work. But it also bring up another issue - the fact that most talent up events (during contests) boil down to two things:

• taking terrible characters and using shards to level up their moves
• taking level 1 characters up to about level 75 or 100 to get maximum bang for your buck

You don't need to be a mastermind at the game to see the problem with this. All this means is that everyone is improving awful characters that do nothing for their roster. That's not fun. That's not helpful. In fact, it's counterintuitive to the whole idea behind the game.

My suggestion: make these events "spend X TP on *character type" or "spend X coin on *character type." There's no reason that someone that spends 1mil coins leveling a character from lvl 1 to lvl 100 should get 100x the benefit of someone spending 1mil coins to level a useful character from lvl 200 to lvl 201. There's no reason that players should be subject to a poorly designed, exploitable system that doesn't actually help anyone. If the devs can't come up with a better idea, then just remove it all together.
