Free MLC character to 4sg

I have also noticed that since I stopped purchasing the starter packs that I never have the resources to bring the free MLC character to 4sg or max the talent up event for that character despite having all of the coin and tp required to do that if I choose to use them on the character. If maxing that event is another paid feature or has a bit of luck factored in should you pull a fuse from keys, it would be nice if that was stated. It might not make people happy but at least they would know what needed to be done going into the month.

I bought the 3sb pack like I do every month and I was able to take him to 4sg but it did take longer but that’s not the case, the issue is there is a lack of tokens be issued or are obtainable by f2p people. Even though I spend, I still noticed a shortage. Coin and tp events are becoming quite expensive for little payout as well. Something needs to change or your gonna lose some folks.

As a free to play player, the increasingly demands to improve requires more spending and I can't do that, but to take away tokens or make them much harder to impossible to get really makes it harder for other players like me to evolve their characters. I've also recently switched to a more active faction and I have noticed a difference already in milestones and tokens awarded since being with them, please stop making it so difficult for free to play characters. Please, let people be compensated because there would be no game without the players there to support it.

This issue is there from the time they introduced 2SB free character.

When we got 1SB free character in old times it was better as we are able to upgrade them to 4SG.

The fact is from 2SB free character intro monthly they actually downgraded things for f2P n less spenders:

Here are my points :

1)With 1SB free character we can upgrade them to 4SG for free now only free upgrade possible is to 4SS.

2)Before 2SB Monthly's we can get a chase character at 4SG rarity after maxing out solo monthly but after ZLashley monthly 5SB chase chara only for Spenders and as a f2p n less spender we are limited to 3SG chase character if able to maxed solo monthly.

3)In 1SB free character Monthly's we were able to do hard mode blitz for free by evo tokens but its not possible now without starter packs.

Improvements are needed badly atleast provide us the same benefits as we are getting during 1SB free character Monthly's.

Seems like an easy enough fix. Either fix your wording or make more tokens available. In the current game there's no reason to not have enough tokens to let everyone take the free card to 5 star bronze so they could at least see the extra move for themselves and decide if they want to take them further in the next month's talent up.

I went the anniversary month long contest without buy the starter pack because i thought i could get him 4g as thr blog stated now as an added measure i also bought the backstage pass every week maxed every event i could for free and i was about 245 tokens short on taking Dawkins to 4g this is blatant fauls advertising on the blog and obviously you cannot get the free card to 4g without buying the starter pack you should provide the correct information and tokens for this to be true

I suggest you fix this problem asap.

In addition to the frustrations others are expressing around not being able to get the free character to 4SG, there are frustrations with those of us who appreciably spend on the free character by routinely purchasing the USD$100 4SB "pro" start pack.

When this new meta first took hold over a year ago with the monthly free/chase characters and the special evo tokens for the monthly free character, the evo to 5SB was set at 3000 tokens with the stretch goal of recruiting the free character from loot at 4SG early on and using every_single_evo_token you earned to then push the character to 5SB using (almost) all the evo tokens available.

Since then, the meta has continued to evolve. With the advent of the hell mode blitzes and kickoff tours (depending on the month) which requires a rapid push of the free character in the opening days of the MLC to take full advantage of the limited time tour before it disappears in mere days, hoarding your evo tokens to push your USD$100 4SB character to 5SB on the off chance you pull a 4SG poster in the first few days is just not realistic.

Further, given how far the game has enabled players to progress their characters and all the buffs which are available to exploit the strengths of each character (straps, medals, trainers), 4SG is no longer a viable level for an effective fighter. 5SB is the floor, and even at that level one can be challenged to be successful with such a character in Feud, SD or hell mode of limited time tours.

So while you're considering how to respond to the concerns of the F2P players expressed on this thread, you should also seriously consider revisiting how far a spending player can push the monthly "free" card. That significant investment in an otherwise free character should buy us a realistic chance of evolving to 5SB.

I'd say 1,000 or 1,200 evo tokens would be a fair price to get from 4SG to 5SB given what I've routinely had left over at the end of a month where I've made that early significant investment.

Scopely had been nerfing the amount of Evo tokens for week 1 in an effort to get more people to buy the starter pack. That's why blitz was removed last month to prevent us from getting tokens for the talent up event. Now we have a 3 day tour that will require players to buy the starter pack to get the precious faction points. It's probably a requirement to buy the $100 pack for top factions. Nothing Scopely does is a mistake. They just hope you don't notice and spend more money.
