Positive: as a whole the event gave some much needed importance to a feud. The rewards themselves were pretty good and made the playerbase happy. The opportunity to win a new wrestler in the form of Beth Phoenix via resources spent and actual gameplay was refreshing. There was a nice balance between paid and free characters in gaining points for the faction event. It was a bit of a grind but that was fine because it allowed you to spend to get ahead or to play longer term. There was a balance. Like I said at the start this event put more importance into a feud then we have had for months. The general feeling is feud is supposed to be the premiere faction event for the game and the rewards have been lacking compared to its status. This event helped to reinforce its importance and improved upon its most basic rewards. Even factions that could not max the event had the ability to gain a new character as well as a multitude of resources.

negative: others will berate the issue that one faction was able to use an exploit to take advantage of the system and gain unintended rewards. Let me point out that many were excited that Ronda, bliss, and nia were to be bonus characters as per the blog. The change of wording after the feud started to make them perked but not valid for bonus points did not go over well. Some players (who did not have a valid point producer) already spent resources leveling those characters to help in the event. The blog as always in subject to change however once the event goes live if the blog did not change prior to reflect a change it should stand. Players are expected to use the blog as a direction to proceed. If said blog is consistently wrong what good does that do for the playerbase.

Feedback is both positive and negative, as I for one agree with the other comments. I actually liked the lockbox part, it definitely got more people motivated to do it again, however how the contest was exploited, and having the contest end before it’s time once again has put a sour taste back to the community.

Positive: New event style made it much more interesting than copy and paste of previous events. The solo feeding into the faction contest is always welcome. The rewards given were nice and the grinding aspect of it was a nice change. The faction event was grindable as well with spend options to speed up progress. This is the type of event that should be made going forward. Maxable without spending , bit with a speed up option for bonus points. The tours were reasonable difficulty and the added feud bonus when working was great.

    opportunity for improvement:

The blog was incorrect/misleading regarding bonus superstars and had to be changed on the fly after teams were unable to communicate effectively on what the actual requirements were. The feud bonuses were broken the first couple hours, and an exploit was largely taken advantage of by one faction “Booty”. This put any other competing factions at a huge disadvantage due to the exploit being taken advantage of and no resolution to the issue in a timely manner to prevent them from getting far ahead of those that “followed the rules”. When the solo contest ended it broke the faction contest preventing any movement forward or verification of faction scores.

    mitigation:

This event format could be split out rather than nested to avoid contests locking up inadvertently. Some form of penance should be taken due to the unintended circumstances of one faction abusing the system. With the rewards possible in this event it puts them far ahead of others possibly permanently and definitely in the interim with a limited amount of tokens to take someone 5s available. Community compensation or rollbacks would be preferred to negate the advantages. The internal teams at scopely need to focus on communication of events and the intent. Blog should be reviewed by the LO team or whomever is responsible for what actually appears and is useable in game.

Postive: reasonable chance to get a new quality character that is a desirable trainer.

cons: contest design allowed for exploits that cost people rewards including not getting the chase character. nesting of the faction event caused it to shut down when the solo did.

    Positive:

    • It mitigated the horrible feud rewards
    • It gave a purpose to people to feud
    • event structure was pretty decent
    • an active faction and active player was almost guaranteed to get a 3s Beth if not the 4SG

    Negatives:

    • issues at the start
    • blog misrepresenting who would get you points
    • poor Bayley shards payout made it almost impossible to get the vault token unless spending 1k$
    • The obvious exploit issue that just voided all the money people spent and prevented people from spending money since the good stuff was all gone from the vault by then

Pro: the most active event as a whole in a long time. Had everyone in factions contributing.

Cons: Allowing a faction to use an exploit and get away with it while people who played fair and spent money got the short end of the stick. Very bad look.

  • I agree with the comments from above and also vault as a timer to reward who completes the event first is stupid and really unfair for your global playerbase. just fix your leaderboard to retain ranking on who gets to the ranking first... oh wait that’s susceptible to exploits and probably too much work to fix so nevermind.

One of the better events and the concept was a great idea. I hope its integrated monthly as it gives a lot of factions the opportunity to get great prizes. The solo portion was unattainable without spending quite a bit of money, but the faction event softened that blow quite a bit. The vault was pretty useless as mostly the only people to get something out of it were those that exploited the game.

The real negative of this event is the lack of communication between what you say, and what is done. People are pretty sick of you hiding behind "subject to change". That has to stop. Yo are basically using it as an excuse to screw up time after time. Also, when you do screw up, own up to it, and make it right.
