Ill try to make this breif and not repetitive.

The state of the game right now is disturbing.

Most people will understand your a business, and the goal of that business is to be successful. With that being said, as each passing month goes on you seem to getting more dependent on the heavy spenders or "super players". A key example is your new tournament. To the average every day play thats a slap in the face. We had zero chance because our wallet isnt as big as others. That is the definition of a section of the game that is for the whales and pay to play.

Imagine being a new player and seeing that ? I know I'd be pretty turned off. Even after playing sense day one I was turned off by it. Pay pay pay.. thats all everyone sees lately.

Showdown is the same, we bust our ass to get blocked by a pay wall. What happened to just playing and having fun ?

I was informed that the cost of coin events and tp events went up because we are swimming in resources? We are ? I know I'm not ! Id love to see the data on that. Again, if your an average daily player, we are NOT swimming in resources. If your in a super faction or have a big wallet then yes, im sure you got all the resources in the world. But for the average daily player that has been loyal and spends a few bucks here and there, we are not swimming in resources. So again. You are catering to the super player or those in a super faction who gets all the rewards.

Stop dropping a new character every week. We are getting overloaded. With the limited resources we cant work on them all. Have your mlc free, your chance and maybe one mid way through the mlc and make it obtainable.

Every complaint ive got ovet the past year is its unfair. Its a whale party, its pay to play. Im sure you have data somewhere showing how many people are leaving and quitting or playing less. This is because of your strategy on how to do this. People are fed up, stopped playing, logging in 5 times a week instead of 5 time a day.

I get your a business, and need to make money but surely there is a better way.

If you had a really really good deal for 19.99 then the usual 99 dollar crap offers. You would see a tremendous amount of people buying the 19.99 good offer where they wouldnt even think about the 99 dollar bad offer. Its basic business, the better it is the more it sells.. you make money and people are happy. Simply isn't it ?

Last thing that is not game breaking but its more annoying and makes scopely look foolish is your graphic team. You have put out some amazing characters and art work. But every so often we get a bomb. Acro trish, ph drew. How do these pass quality and standards?

I hope we see some changes. For the sake of the game and the community.

Please look at the big picture. Dont just look at the money. Think of that player who just joined yesterday, the player going for a year but isnt a big spender, the player who simply can't afford to spend because of life. Dont rely on your big spenders you have now, someday.. you may not have them then you'll have to rely on the little guy.

We dony want everything free. Wr just want it fair for all and a chance to earn it.

  • Oh and bring back Invasion but with actual decent rewards etc etc... hands down my favorite thing you guys have came up with..

Also bring back the old SD and feuds so it can actually tie in with faction/faction event etc. The set up now is ludicrous

  • I would like to really bring meaning to the words ‘roster customisation’. I have went for loot pulls and have pulled something new but it’s something I don’t really want to use. Without hesitation, I would trade posters I don’t use for ones I want to use. I would also want to see a choice of which superstar shards you want to chase. And possibly duplicate posters of superstars already recruited contributing to newer superstars.

  • I think the new tournament mode is a real strange call, seeing as more than 99% of your user base won't be able to take part. Also the cost of items in the prize wall is an usual move since last month, with prices seeming to have doubled.

Ending on a positive though, the facility for players in higher leagues to be able to skip the daily grind is a massively welcome one

Thanks to OP for a great discussion. Here are my 2 cents.

Most relevant to me personally is the whole notion of effort vs reward. Below is some context written as feed back for issues concerning flash feuds. Here is the link for the full thread,

My argument was scale down the grind and let people have an easier time to max, regardless of their timezone.

    Screenshot_20211125-194447~2.png

Recent contests have made the last statement seem moot. "If the effort needed for an event was lowered it would most likely also lower the rewards overall." More and more contest scoring has been paywalled in the store. For example:

    - contests points being sold more often

    - buying a loot coin for the first time or buying X number of loot coins to score.

    - and buying so called "booster packs"

The revamped rewards have been great to see in contests. But now more and more I'm seeing stretch milestones being paywalled. Now it feels like how much "effort" it is to open your wallet rather than the effort of the grind.

I like that the paid portion is seperate. Whales can spend on one side, and let the casual grind on the other side. Personally, I would like to see that the contest milestone points/scoring offered in the store be optional rather than mandatory. Right now comparing my progress from last MLC (zombies) to this current one (renegade) is night and day in terms of spending. Last month I bought all backstage passes which enabled me to max the MLC as well as getting my 2nd chase character (I'm league 17 BTW). This month I only bought one backstage pass and was active in all events however I'm 10 milestones short of maxing. Effort vs reward in the contests in my opinion is not proportional.

  • This content has been removed.
  • I wish they lower the cost of swapping medals\belts and \or trainers. Maybe even make it a perk of reaching a certain level. Ex. Player (not superstar) reaches level 100 and gets 50% cost reduction

I guess almost everything was written in here, to some I agree, some not so.

    Pros:

    • Boss Battle is quite fun, it brings back the approach of a faction really working together to get them down as we have to commit to boss breakers and a bit of strategically setting up to fight 'em off.
    • The free MLCs getting more powerful (ok, we are in 5g territory now, just makes sense though)
    • Overall rewards (tokens, coins, the "7 day purple chest")
    • Auto complete of daily tours - what a time saver!
    • IOWs and how they are obtainable

    Cons:

    • Game is really, really crowded with lots of stuff to do on a daily / weekly basis. Plus side, yes, we players get something to do to work on independently or as a faction member. Down side, the bugs appearing / bothering the overall gameplay mechanic is becoming quite ridiculous. (I stopped counting how often I have to force quit the game and erase the cache off of my mobile, DAILY for sure) On almost every new tour there is some issue, mostly game freezes, health losses, performance problems. I know shit about coding but every freaking product should be tested and if a program's code is to crowded / blown up maybe there should be the point where the game should be started from scratch (of course, that's not even possible but hey, I'm always open to surprises).
    • Speaking of old things, and this was addressed many, many, many times; ostensibly it seems quite impossible to do but all the old characters in the game really need a make over due to 5g introduction. Of course, $copely can put out gears galore to try to make them a match against current superstars (hence, damage), but most of them a awfully slow, even for a low tier.
    • Lastly, all of the new stuff introduced is heavily prizewalled nowadays. There is almost no contest anymore to find that can be fulfilled without spending $$$$$$$$$$$. I spend some money here and there and of course these kinda games need to earn cash in order to invest / improve, but where actually is that improvement?

So, there are some more things, mostly old mechanics that are still in there (ie gear loot) which don't hold up quite well anymore. But hey, it's just a game. BUT, just a game I and most others really enjoy. This said, would be great to see $copely finally listen to its audience.

  • Ok, so I 100% agree with everything Sissa has said at the start of the thread. Couple of points that I would add to mix up the game from it being a cut and paste from previous month / event.

SD- as there are now super characters that makes SD easy for those that have them and a nightmare for those that don’t.. can we not use the eras / stables / class / m/f sections to add a little more variety? I tjnyslly seeing the same superstars does get monotonous.

feud- again, can we have some more variety based on the above again? It will make it entertaining again

new characters- I was playing when 3sg was the holy grail and new superstars just were not around. We had one maybe every 6 months or so. Now we are getting 6 a month! How about reducing this to maybe 2 or 3 ? I know your a business but will this be more targeted? rather than new how about revamping older characters to make them viable again?

just feel the game has gone stale

The game quality has dropped immensely ever since contests provided points for loot coins. This ensures that whoever spends the most tops the leaderboard, period. This also provided a clear sign that $$$ is better than time/effort/skill. Just buy your way to the top. There are so many other things that need improved, but this is the big one.
