I just want to say this company should be ashamed of yourselves having a 5 bronze technician aelister black in the featured.   He is over 2 years old  and sucks quite frankly in todays game.   It was gut wrenching pulling a 5b character thinking youre getting something worthwhile and interesting, and then seeing this trash. Totally convinced to end my spending on this game.

This is the exact reason I stopped buying pulls

when i pulled a featured from that loot, it was a charlotte* like i get that they don't want us to allways pull the mega but its a 00.03 chance? if that, and you have to some time spend 1000s of dollars just to hit the 1 u want, at least give us more good options,no 1 wants to pull a featured zombie charlotte or showboat charlotte, and why are shards even a featured? 50 zombie asuka? if we hit them we should at least get 50 of a rare superstar, sure its not alot when you need 2000 but its better then getting the same crap featureds.

  • One of the reasons I’m no longer spending like I use to. No way that card should be a featured.

This is the exact trash we are all growing to expect to pull. Legit no value outside of the Rollins shards. It’s really the only game I’ve ever played that coupled terrible RNG with an even worse list of available options from a cash loot pull. It’s almost like the people designing this don’t even play the game. Even worse I think there’s a handful in your pull that were given away for free

the good news is you’ll find much better things to do with your cash… at least I have!

This seems to be a trend with scopley putting old, garbage, irrelevant cards in the featured section of the loot. There is such a small chance of hitting featured as it is, it's very deflating finally hitting and coming away with a common card or some trash that's outdated

Haven’t done loot pulls for a long time and won’t be changing that unless loots receive a significant overhaul.

    Changes needed:

    • Clear odds for each item (not for each rarity, which is meaningless)
    • Replace free posters/shards with shards for the featured poster in the loot.
    • Guaranteed rewards/shards/poster at a certain point. Players should not be spending $1000s and walking away empty-handed. Add a token system where each $100 pull earns a token which can later be cashed in for something useful.

Personally, I think a lot of these issues are just supply and demand things that should take care of themselves. If the value is not there for the price, don’t pull.

But from Scopely’s perspective I think this is a terrible model. If you’re pushing your customers to feel like they shouldn’t be spending or to regret what they do spend, you’re pretty much failing Business 101 type stuff. Keep the customer happy and the money rolls in. That doesn’t mean you have to give everything away, but it does mean you should always be looking for ways to add value to the gaming experience. Go look up Costco and how they do things for an instructive example. Their CEO was asked why they don’t raise the price of a hot dog and a soda from $1.50 to a more modern price. He said something like - yeah we could charge more, but what makes us different is I wake up trying to think of ways we could charge less.

The craziest thing to me is that not only do we have old cards and even free silver league cards in the featured section, it's that the better your roster is, the worse the pulls actually become. If I have everyone in the featured loot but the new contest superstar, then even a pull from the featured section might give me something like 800x or 1200x worthless shards. So even though I was lucky enough to hit the 1% pull, I've still walked away with borderline useless garbage. Assuming that 5sg TP requirements are going to stay the same, that might be $100 or $200 spent just to get the equivalent of 1 extra move level for a card. I'd be fine if the featured section was nothing but the contest card at various rarities. At least that way I could feel "lucky" getting a 5sb or 5ss but still walk away with the new card. Unfortunately it's so diluted with extra junk that most weeks it's not even worth it to try.

  • I do actuarial work. I am also in a faction that has several branches. I see the money spent by the points awarded in the faction contests. Scopely might advertise the breakdown of let's say very rare, rare, and common but the actual odds of the posters/shards within these groups are nowhere close to equal. They should do away with placing fodder in the high up pulls and make the odds more reflective of what they are advertising. Congress has already stepped in with FIFA and Madden loots boxes. There are over 700 people in all branches of my faction. That is more than enough data points to calculate the true odds within each rarity of loot pulls. I already know it will reveal some very upsetting numbers. Do better Scopely.

  • scopley, you are absolutely ridiculous to not give a featured character in your mega? Only shards for featured players that I have no chance to get. Great. You guys suck.
