Bayley "The Soul Model" Showdown (+ Giveaway)

I don't have anything to add that hasn't already been said. I think that @2bob29 covered everything to a T. There was no benefit to playing SD event this weekend. This is a game, and things should be done to bring enjoyment and then people would be more willing to spend. Having all of the CSS should mean something, and it meant absolutely nothing.
The Bayley card looks great, but the event made it unappealing to spend on it at all.

Raising the top notoriety to 1,000 was a bad move. It wasn't too bad for me personally, because for some reason I don't show up for people to attack me. The only attacks I got were revenge matches.
As was mentioned in other feedback, having all the CSS didn't mean much of anything. That's unfortunate.
The tours were nice and easy.
It is very disheartening to max an event or come close and not get the character from bags but then watch some bozo who barely made it half way get the character . Frankly it's bullcrap.
The coins and TP in milestone rewards continue to be very good

Unfortunately this was the worst showdown event in quite a while. It seems once you get to about 400-500 notoriety you start seeing Tier 1 superstars at 5 star silver making it difficult for players with smaller rosters to even make it that far. The change in league tiers would have made a bit of sense if that meant you'd see those higher level players at higher leagues but that was not the case. Also, I understand the desire to encourage players to use the new promoter features, but this change just artificially extends the time to takes to complete the event. Not everybody wants to spend their entire saturday night leapfrogging from league to league in showdown especially on a holiday weekend.

i Enjoy playing with the feature characters however only had two men no females would be nice if it was more evened out.
I found the increase in noteriety a bit steep. I don’t mind increasing I think it’s good to challenge everyone. That being said that was a big jump from 700-1000 is a bit steep to play for no coins there should be another tier at least. Lost out on a fair bit of coins in the reset which kinda hits double hard.

The idea behind the Showdown change was to make the earlier matches easier, but that did not happen. Most folks I talked to ran into the same 5ss wall of top tier characters at or before 400 notoriety just like before. Folks that had trouble making it to 500 before also had trouble making it to 500 this time, but the goalpost was moved even higher.
If we didn't have to face maxed out, top-tier 5ss opponents until the top notoriety level, it wouldn't be nearly as bad. Leaving the coin distribution the way it was and adding a 1000 tier with additional coins for top players would also be a decent idea.

Pros: Reducing the number of bonus matches but increasing the score value.
Cons: 1000 noteriety kills motivation to stay on the game. Once people start finding more difficult matchups around 500 noteriety they just stop playing because they are too far away from the max noteriety. When 700 is the goal people tend to keep pushing since they are so close.

The event was ‘meh’ at best. The SD event was absolute crap, getting to a whopping 400 notoriety and then hitting a double 5ss wall. THEN having to drop MAD coins to find an opponent that you’d have a CHANCE at beating. The new system is horrendous. Is this REALLY how you treat your devoted players who’ve been playing this game for years? And now “hand me outs” characters that some players paid good money for? Chaos. That’s what all this is. Controlled chaos. Get you crap together…period.
Money hungry. That’s all you are.

Average women's showdown. New levels for rewards are harsh.

5*silvers and I was not even 500 I get making it harder higher up but at least wait til 700.

I thought the tours were well done. I think that they were doable and had decent rewards.
Increasing the notoriety from 700 to 1000 for no added benefit was a huge misstep. It made the grind much worse and hugely impacted the amount of hps used. This was punishing to the player base for no discernible reason.
Having a F/M showdown was a nice change of pace instead of facing the endless sea of Sockos.
The chances to get mutant Bayley seemed pretty reasonable, too.

Showdown
Pros: The contest superstar display worked as it should, so it was easy to keep track of those.
Cons: The need for players to play more instead of play smarter. Even if you had all your ducks in a row with your women superstars, you needed to not only grind out more notoriety to get to the top league, but once you got there you got fewer SD coins per victory at the top league. That's an increased time commitment for the same rewards. That is not an equivalent exchange.
I think most of the player base would agree that SD coin acquisition is pretty heavily gated compared to faction and stipulation tour coins and I think there are sensible changes that can be made to reward higher-league players without selling out your entire SD coin economy.
Solo Contest
Pros: Showdown coins were worth 100 solo points per, which is the way it really should always be. Just makes math easier. Adjust your maxes accordingly if you need to for balance.
Cons: Daily free claim amount was nerfed and most of the contest superstars gave piddly amounts of contest points for repetitive use. Felt like it was a contest built around pulling Bayley and pretty much nothing else mattered unless maybe you were able to max both days. Which was an exercise in 1 MP opponent misery.
Faction Contest
Pros: No limits on showdown coin contributions to the contest, big bonuses for faction mates that were lucky enough to get the chase, meant that a faction with their business reasonably together could get it maxed.
Cons: None that I can think of. No Cesaro shards in the final milestone was a bit of a letdown in terms of maxing a faction contest reward but I get it.
Loot Contest
Pros: Being able to easily do the math and see how much people blow on this game.
Cons: Way too many solo points tied up in this event. Felt like a blatant cash-grab on the same weekend that it was made harder to get to the top league. Really rotten stuff.
Tours
Pros: Reasonable contest superstar requirements.
Cons: Dropping two one-day-only tours on a holiday. I get the Sgt. Slaughter one, but it just made for a very hectic day of working around family gatherings. Would've preferred a little extra time to do the Zombies vs. Mutant tour.
Overall: An event that, by and large, was very negative for the players. But looking at the loot contest leaderboard I think Scopely execs can finally afford that third vacation house.

The good - few characters needed for the bonus points, characters that where need most should have but one or two,
The bad - moving it up to 1000, the spend event not even having prizes for 10 coins or below, the new match making didn’t seem to work hitting 5ss after 4 or 5 matches
overall was only just a bit better and that was cause of the easy if bouns points for characters used

Actually the idea to up the notoriety to 1000 but u should increse the limit of sd coins as a reward, and the most important issue is the red rings showing loading and connectivity issue when u have full network , its really annoying.
Also all opponents u find after getting above 500 notoriety are 5 star silver.
And the extra turn belt doesnt work properly for us but for opponent it works them every time., This issue should be solved.
And to acquire IOW superstars the no of sd coins, faction coins and stip. Tour coins shall be reduced, as its hard for small players to collect them.

I can't really say too much that was good about this event. The increase from 700 to 1000 made the event really drag out for me and honestly took most of the fun out of the event. I found myself by the end just happy to be done instead of feeling accomlished or excited. If you want to increase the goal like that I feel that you should also increse the amount of showdown coins we can earn. In my experience I found myself do a lot of showdown matches for no coins and really no help in the contest. This again made the contest feel dragged out and just boring. I understand that the goal lis to make it more challenging but please do not do that at the expense of the enjoyment and rewards of playing the game.
Another complaint that I and many others have is the lag/freeing issue. I know that it is a work in progress but it is still a very large annoyance and just takes the fun away by being so frustrating. I spent a lot more health packs that I should have because the game froze and just would not let me finish the showdown match.
Overall, for me, it was not an enjoyable event.

The increase in points needed to advance to the next level (1000 notoriety) combined with seeing the same 6 opponents regardless of paying coins to refresh makes it less worth it to play. The gap to gain more points seems like it's more of a resources bleed than advancement to the gameplay. There's no balance to opponent difficulty. It jumps from "super easy" to "may the odds be ever in your favor". There's no value in chasing the 1000 notoriety unless you have an OP character
