My favorite thing about sd weekends were that they didn't require as much time as feuds. They allowed me more hours with friends and family.
The change to 1000 notoriety added several more hours of playing and unwanted frustration at every "3%" dodge and ridiculous cascade.
Every recent change to the game (stip tours, increased number of blitzes to max faction event, daily blitz with free mlc character, etc...) has taken more and more time from me with every passing event.
I'm not someone that maxes a lot of sd events so I don't care if you make events that cost $600 to max. Please just quit trying to take up every moment of free time I have.

Agree with everyone above. The blog said you made changes to make it more fair, but in past Showdown events I always got to the top level before I hit a wall of unbeatable opponents. This time I can't even break the 3rd.

I feel like I'm spinning my wheels with this event. I've hit the unbeatable wall of opponents way sooner then in past Showdowns and its sucking all the fun out of it. I think you guys really need to look into a new mach making system so that people can get a fair shake at competing.

This sd must be the biggest pile of crap you ever made.
The tours are the only good thing about the event.
I don't even care about you're increase of notoriety, due promoters, i get it.
But that 5ss wall at 400 notoriety is unforgivable.
Normaly i could get the sd coins maxed. Now it is near impossible to get passed 400 notoriety. There is a big difference between a challenge or suicide.
Also i don't know who decided to make the cpu cascade kings but seems every opponent is fucking overpowered.
So i am going to enjoy my weekend for a change instead of playing.

I was looking forwad to f/m sd. Thought it would be fun. WOW was i wrong. 10hr it took me to reach 1000. Game continued to crash . I had 4000 hp 2 weeks ago. Crashed on me 17 times last sd. Support has closed my ticket twice as known issue. Im now down to 100hp.
Rewards are crap. Dont know why even stuck with it. You didn't even raise coins we get for extra work. Contest rewards are unattainable.
Will not fldo sd from this point on if it continues. And with that being one of the fun parts of the game may not be worth playing at all anymore
Its sad a game i used to love to play now is not enjoyable at all.
Hope you listen to customer base and can bring enjoyment back to the game

Y’all need to fix all these bugs I collected my showdown coins just to find out that there was no contest so they didn’t count to the solo or faction!!!!!! Hope this doesn’t take til next year to resolve!!!!!

I echo the negative comments that have been said. Personally I have not spent a single faction coin on a IOW shard in the faction store. I didn't see the need for it. I'm probably not the only one. In before they increase the SD coin next showdown to say "hey we listened!" It's only to justify the existence of noteriety promoters. What limited faction coin I can scrape by is still going to finding my anti bleed belt. Keep your noteriety promoter, I'm good thanks.

I would rate this event as a 3/10. And that's being stupidly generous. Using all of the bonus superstars except for Bayley only got me to milestone 9, and that was with buying 10 loot coins cause I'm an idiot. The only way to max is to spend a ridiculous amount of money. And then you'll bring out an event next week that requires spending the same amount.
I went non-stop for over 5 hours and got just over 900 notoriety. Changing it to a 1000 cutoff point was misguided and an obvious "F the players" move. And after all of that, I got 413 Bayley shards. Slightly over a quarter of the way to recruiting her. I'm so happy I gave up my Sunday afternoon for this event... Of course, after this event her shards will be drip-fed to us, so I look forward to unlocking her in 3 years time.
I've played this game for over 4 years, and spent a decent amount of money on it in that time. You guys are going backwards. Stop focusing on the whales and realize that if prices and odds were better, more people would spend. I'm not paying $44 for a legendary PH strap that MIGHT be for the era I need. I'm not spending $90 on a pitiful number of Bayley shards and some resources.
Since this is a give-away post, IGN is Phenom Black. Not that I expect to get anything from this.

Can't help but add my voice to the chorus...
Players keep asking for events less time-consuming and you raise the stake and set the goal at 1000 notoriety...furthermore, what's even worse, you don't expand the limit of SD Coins...
Also, a game that still has tons of old bugs and now even newer ones 👇️ can't afford to have players play even more...
I won't tell you how many times I've faced this thing and had to give up matches that I had already won, resulting in having to lose even more time...and, before you even try to think to shift the blame to my connection, I just tell you "forget it", cause everything else worked just fine, both with wifi and mobile....since it popped up so frequently, I came to the conclusion that this doens't mean that there are connection problems, but means that there are no brain signals from whoever came up with idiotic changes like the recent ones 😘...like the loot event...well, whoever falls for that, good for you, I won't complain about it....
Conclusions: switch back to the old format: 700 notoriety - Max League - 15k- Max Reward on Sunday morning and so on....don't get me wrong, that's not a question nor even an option, it's what you have to do.
Even this "old" format could be improved, but you've proven that you can only make things worse, therefore better leave it as it is

So after considering the above comments and having slept on my anger and disappointment last night I can honestly say that a terrible decision has probably just put the final nail in a quite a few players coffins with this constant cash grab . All aspects of the game from dailies to feud, sd to blitz are asking for more and more time effort and actual cash. I agree that certain events are cash based and ppl can choose whether or not to compete...but when these are no integrated within month long contests it's favouring the whales. Again. I have a 1.6million roster, 4 years of playing, and can't compete with most, which is a bit confusing and frustrating. Opponent scaling is off the chart, how when running a 17k talent team at 200 notoriety is being paired with a 35k team at 700??? Alot of players are obviously looking back at last month and are happy with the chase etc then you just suck it all back out. Disappointment everywhere.

Very "thoughtful" event design including top notoriety raise, SD points decrement when you get there, guaranteed 2-3 more hours investment to achieve it, huge amount of hp usage (but no worries we get max 50 per day from the free bags,more than enough I imagine, though question myself why to compensate us with 250 when server crashes/freezes), mediocre milestone rewards, top milestones behind a high wallet barrier and all these for not even a unique character. To your belief playing extensively longer in events is priceless and not appreciated by the player base. Apologies for being myself naive and shortsighted and not sharing the same vision as your design team. I don't value the current event at all as of any fun factor to me so obviously I will act accordingly.

While I understand the promoters are ways to make us level a whole new character that we wont use accept only as a promoter. Which equals more people buying resources to try to level. Going from 699 to 1000 is just to much. You really screw the mid to lower top tier players out of making the bonus. It needs to be changed. I think this change just hurts people abruptly. Trying to grind through even with some promoters was just awful.

Really disappointed with this event. Showdown was about the only thing going well over the past couple contests and that has been nullified with the changes implemented here.
Changing the notoriety level to max and not adjusting the coins received at max level doesn’t make sense. Plenty of faction mates hit the Lana/chyna wall around 500 and never reached 1000.
Also, turning this into a pure spend event to max is shameful. Hiding 1.5 mil behind a paywall is lame. I understand the meaning is to make money. But for me it has the opposite effect. If the final two milestones were somewhat attainable without the featured character I’m sure more people would be motivated to spend to reach the next milestone.
The tours were simple and utilized somewhat common characters, probably the only shining light on an otherwise bleak contest.

• After playing the event the tours were better than I thought they were gonna be after reading the blog.
• No issues on getting attacked on Day 1 during the climb but after reset I rarely get attacked.
• The climb to 1k & staying there wasn't bad but not everyone has a top female & the lack of extra SD coins for the extra time it took was crap.
I'm also sure if u was to give extra SD coins then you would just raise the event max that much more.
• The loot spend to max the event was a horrible idea & hope not many fell for it.

Pros- Bags gave more shards. It gives a reason to use the poorly thought out and overly useless SD promoters.
Cons- it requires leveling of useless promoters to cut down on time in the event. It costs a lot of coins swapping these promoters through the contest super stars. The coins in final league dropped from 1500 to 1000 which just adds more matches for no reason. Health pack drain was worse than a feud. Added 2-3 hours of play time just to reach the same notoriety I always hit(1k+). Everything was warned about in advance of this and was mostly ignored or dismissed and as is typically the case the people warning were 100% correct. this was indefensibly bad in ALL areas.
If you're going to up the notoriety also up the total coins. If you're going to make sd promoters required lower the cost to move them or increase the amount of coins. If you're going to add hours of play and increase the difficulty add in health packs. I shouldn't be using 1000 HP for a showdown.. If you're going to increase the average shards in a bag don't decrease the number of bags so the average ends up WAY worse than normal. I've never not hit 1k shards in a sd event before and this one I failed to hit 700. People maxed it failed to hit 1000. This event is bad and all involved in the redesign should feel bad because this was OBVIOUS

I find it amusing, that scopely insists we provide constructive feedback, but seems to have a long history with ignoring actual player's requests.
I would rate this event at a solid 2 out of 10. Tours were doable, and to have bonus characters that were not ultra-rare was nice. The actual showdown event was the same hot garbage, with the increased notoriety score totally unreachable as usual. The wall of 5star silver Lana/Socko started around 400 and never let up. I'm legitimately curious of the percentage of players who have these characters cause that's all you see for hours. I grinded for hours, got to above 700 and gave up there. Too much time, too much Hp wasted getting there, and the rewards were not worth pushing further. I'm at milestone 9/16 and i am definitely not gonna spend here to get further. I'm not knocking scopely for monetizing the game, but unless they provide compelling reasons, that wallet will stay shut. I've got 400 shards of Bailey, and am looking forward to unlocking her in 2 or 3 years.
I like the "mutants" concept, and hope the game includes more factions like this. We have zombies, statues, MOTU already. I suggest Scopely adds Robot, Ninja, Pirate, My little Pony, and Medieval versions of WWE characters.

Increasing the notoriety target to 1000 is a real slap in the face. Not only do people already have a hard time getting and staying over 700 as it is, but there seems to be no corresponding increase in rewards to offset this higher bar.The problems with showdown are not being able to get reasonable matches, getting paired up with extreme notoriety mismatches, and paying to refresh the opponents only to get the same 5 or 6 appearing over and over.None of those problems are addressed by adding a 1000 point notoriety level.

Yes and report it in the technical forum and follow the reporting guide. I've experienced none of these things so it's likely tied to your device. Making comments about fixing broken things without explaining them aren't helpful at all.

Yall screwed up showdown that it is utterly unplayable for a large portion of the community. What used to be a challenge is now impossible.
Tell us what you liked and what could be improved.
Everything, go back to the way it was or fix how we are matched with opponents.
If you have any suggestions or mitigations, let us know!
Fix opponent match ups or go back to the old way until you figure out a proper fix that doesnt violate a large portion of the community.
The more info you provide, the more valuable it is for us.
What the heck. I am used to a little challenge but maxxing in the end but now that for me and many others is nearly impossible, It is nearly unrecognizable in its current state. This showdown almost had me breaking my phone out of shear anger due to the difficulty at only 500 and the wasting of resources. 200 Hp's gone and coins steadily going out just trying to get any sort of score. From the start I was matched constantly with opponents I could not match with and had to hope some how I won. Gave up at 500 notoriety due to all of this.
My advice, stop being money hungry pricks about literally everything, fix what is already broken and try to improve upon the game instead of making it more and more difficult and unplayable for many.

This sd was bad the increase to 1000 pts is just not doable and way too time consuming. Uses too much hp for very little gain. I used to like sd events but after this one if it stays this way then i may not be playing going forward. The matchups are not at all fair much less reasonable.

I’m okay with raising the highest tier to 1000 what is not okay is increasing the range whilst keeping the rewards exactly the same but just moving the goalposts to achieve them. Being over 1000 is incredibly difficult and should not be rewarded with the previous rewards for 700. And why were the rewards dropped from 1.5k per win to 1k per win to prolong this even more
also check if my account is banned for getting the showdown bag superstar as I’ve literally not got one since the format changed a year or so ago

Horrible event overall. More work for much less reward considering all of the good rewards are in the final 2 milestones which very few players will reach. Zero incentive to spend or play beyond gaining the available showdown coins. Tours were fine but that’s the only positive. Weekends like this decrease the community morale and will most likely lead players to find alternative forms of entertainment

I was able to get to milestone 14/15 only spending $5 so that’s always pleasant to see, however spending 300 loot coins is absurd. Also not too big a fan of the faction rewards being so minuscule. One last thing to add, if you increased the max threshold for showdown there should be an increase in rewards too, more work and more effort for the same rewards didn’t really translate with me, all in all good event, I can confirm you can get to 14/15 only spending $5 for the “use loot coin for the first time”

This SD event is a total shit show I burned through way too many HP, the numbers don't add up I would fight a match says I'm getting 27 plus promoter bonus of plus 3 then my notriety only went up 2 points instead of 30 points...the rewards were no where near worth the extra effort and aggravation. I don't know why you guys insist on making shit more difficult but not fixing existing issues or increasing rewards.

I agree with what everyone said.
My personal experience during the SD event is it could have been much better. It felt like it was fixed when it did not need to be. Going to 1000 notoriety and on top of that 1000 SD points per win instead of usual 1500 SD points felt like punishment to the last game mode most people could enjoy over a event weekend. Heard it was 100 SD points instead of 1000 at 1000 notoriety, again I do not believe that was a mistake and was intended until a lot of people yelled shenanigans like the kids from South Park.
If there’s one positive in this weekend event, it would be the tours and the easy CSS needed to get the bonus rewards. I totally hate Goldberg, and those who know why do, it was good that I could have done his bonus at 3sb. The possible worst free monthly character ever to be released with Pete Dunne was doable at 3ss in the other normal tour.
Overall, this SD event needs MAJOR improvement especially with the faction milestone rewards. We used to have bags of the new character available, but this time not one. Every time it seem Scopely does good with the MLCs, they go backward a few steps and it’s frustrating for a player to see that when Scopely asks for suggestions to improve.

I keep asking myself why you guys keep doing things to make the community hate the game and the company. Honestly the only event that people enjoyed a little was Showdown and you somehow decided it was better to change it and create another problem when there are tons out there, like the copy/paste events/tours/offers/etc...(literally every event is a copy of a previous one, except you change stuff for the new month/week) which you'd think is an area to improve rather the one thing "working". Changing notoriety leagues was probably the worst idea you guys could have. It got worse when rewards didn't scaled. So people would need to play a lot more for the same stuff we were used to see. And it gets worse when you're forced to face the same teams over and over and over again. Extra effort required + rewards not scaling + repetitive opponents = a really boring event and a game you don't want to play. Really, it's awful when you're forced to play the same teams 50x at least. And this is not a post where you read "oh we should get rewards easily". No, this is a post to make you understand where the game needs to improve and where you don't need to touch, like the previous Showdown model.
Now that we attacked the main Showdown tournament, the Bayley event was just another copy from previous Showdown events. The only innovation was a failed attempt to make Showdown tournament tedious, boring and longer without scaling rewards. Requirements were fair, finally something that wasn't M/M, rewards were bad considering all the torture we had to go through and tours were a positive aspect.
Tl;DR - A weekend to forget. Or maybe not forget and used it for future reference on things you should not do.
