Maivia Madness event

Comments

Horrible event, no way u could grind that many SD matches to even come close to maxing mid week & during a blitz. So obviously it was designed as a paywall event & for the $1500-$1800 it would take to max there's nothing in the milestones worth 1/3 of that cost.

Tours: 870k max
Striker talent: 50k max
New Gen talent: 50k max
Showdown wins with Rocky Maivia: 6k each
Loot Coin: 16k each
The max milestone is 12 million which seems incredibly steep. This means a minimum of 1839 showdown wins are needed to max,. without spending on loot coins. Forget Maivia madness, that many matches is enough to send any player mad 😉

Honestly the coin return from using and gaining coins is fairly decent. I used 6mil and got back 6 or 7 mil in coins. I think this is a great way to invest in characters like this. We really aren’t using too many coins. Maybe the TP should be ramped up in return these events as well. Like 250 green. 250 black so on.

I really like this idea in theory, and in execution it isn't terrible, but I agree that the end rewards are a little steep. I love that there's a F2P option that you can grind if you super need to, but the top levels seem unrealistic.
Setting the max milestone to around 6 Million would probably be more fair.
Still, this is a good event. More like it would be great!

Didn't pay attention to the maximum milestone and started grinding showdowns to reach the next milestones. Started after milestone 9 (679,200) and reached the next two (10 at 796,100 and 11 at 919,800) rather quickly. Noticed milestone 12 was at 2,199,800 and stopped.
That seems a bit of a steep jump.....

Hi Folks, appreciate the feedback. The final milestone was intended to be a stretch goal for people just wanted to throw that out.

Horrible event. I mean almost 2000 showdown matches. That takes like 12 weekend showdown event matches

Considering it’s midweek and people have jobs and sleep the sheer volume of matches needed to max this event is asinine. Even after all bonuses are accounted for it’s still around 1600 matches to max in 3 days. From a spending perspective the rewards are nowhere near the value for what’s required to be spent in order to max.
200 matches would have been more reasonable as opposed to 2000 off of the bat.
Huge swing and a miss for this one unfortunately.

Impossible to max without spending alot of money and running the event alongside a faction blitz makes it even more Impossible to max. If this event was run while nothing else running it may just may be doable otherwise no chance
Awful event

The hell mode version of blitz is incredibly difficult to access. Was this intended?
6 superstars, with 3 of them being unicorn status is almost cruel. (Hogan, dragon steamboat and 4s Maivia)
The bonus from hard mode is also ridiculously low. The majority of f2p cant manage the score required to drive the blitz contest to the real payouts.
We set a standard, and its becoming very difficult to keep it up with all these curve balls thrown our way. You're putting an awful lot of pressure on the cashing players to make up the difference and creating an experience that is turning players away from faction events.
Just some constructive feedback. Maybe make it more inclusive and feasible for your player base to play.

The amount of faction members and people in general in the past 2 days who have asked me "what other games do you play besides this one?" Has grown significantly. When this event went live, my DMs blew up.
While we understand "not every event is meant to be maxed" and that you put out "stretch goals", that doesn't mean it should be so horrendous that the playerbase is inquiring about what OTHER games people play so they can "get away from the madness of Champs."
I get it, and I respect you are a corporation looking to make money. But it shouldn't be at the behest of the community and playerbase as a whole.
Milestones were decently lain out for the majority of "F2P" players to be capable of accessing. But after that, whats the point of playing the game anymore? *Get your 2 sets of tours done. Bang out some SD matches with the fancy reworked card. Call it quits. And move on to a game which is fun.*
Again, I'm not here to try and badger the points which have already been made, I just think its astounding how far down the track we've seen this game taken, where now, EXCESSIVELY, people are asking about other games and looking for new ones.
Gotta say, this event, did NOT help keep players attached to the game. It feels more like a chore/responsibility than fun at times. And I think thats the key item to focus on. How do you make the game fun for people and not feel like a chore that they need to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars to keep up.
Anyway, hope this round of feedback was helpful.

even using other ppl's rather conservative numbers.... 1600 showdown matches over 3 days, means you need to win over 20 matches an hour, for 72 straight hours.
that's rather absurd.

Two words!

event sucks. it used t be realistic with a bit of graft to max events without spending barrel loads of money. this game used to be a top 3 earning game on google play store but your constant greed, failure to fix bugs, lack of customer support and ridiculous requirements has seen interest and player base dwindle.
the fun has been sucked out of the game

I'm at stage 12, I've completed everything and I'm 10 million points from completing it, I need to spend 5k real dollars or do 2 thousand SD matches, this is just ridiculous at this point. Exact same thing with the last event you learned to remove the SD cap but instead you made in physical impossible to play that many games in that amount of time.

I have been playing nonstop Showdown matches (with Rocky Maivia) but it doesn't seem to be causing any dent in reaching the milestones. Nearly 2000 SD matches in 2 days is quite impossible. Yet another event made to be completed by the spenders.

Could not agree more with this comment. It is absurd that this event was so clearly designed to be impossible to max (unless you spend almost $2000.00). Great way to show respect to players during a time when ppl are unemployed and the economy is tanking.
if you’re thinking “well you could grind through SD to max for free,” I’ll point out that you need to win over 40 SD matches per hour to meet the requirement - and would have needed to be doing them from the start. If you sleep for an hour guess what? You can’t max the event. That isn’t just a slap in the face to everyone. It’s beyond unreasonable.
Will definitely be leaving a 1 star review on App Store as well. This was intentional and your motivations are clear so I have no issue holding you accountable.

Good event if you had your striker rock partially leveled before the event started until milestone 12 then it’s a ridiculous spending to max. The hell mode opponents with their medals was a bit much. This was a do what you can and get out event.
It honestly would of looked better if milestones 13-16 were a portal spend event instead of being part of the in game event.

This is a Decent event with a bad after taste
- Pros
- I think making the rock into harpers move set was a good choice and many people who weren't lucky enough to obtain him can now play with his build
- There were varying rewards in the tours some high coinage and TP
- Something to do mid week
- Cons
- Milestones are terrible and make you not want to play
- Faction point aspect - what if you already have him top level how do you contribute?
- So many blog changes
- awkward tour rewards

5/10.
Firstly I like the rework, quite decent of character, his damage numbers are low though. The per multiply gem damage move is underwhelming, the damage should be increased.
Secondly the contest and milestone. Good rebate on coin used. TP rebate far far too low. In order to get them back the milestones were unreasonable. Even if you had a top tier guy grinding 1000+ matches is unrealistic in the time frame. You can't tell me someone play tested this and said "2000 matches to max in 2 days is doable"
Lastly some suggestions; milestones should be brought lower, or the CSS points be dramatically increased. I understand the last milestone has to be a "stretch" but the last 3 milestone are a strain. Have a mid point reward in milestone where if a player cannot grind higher have some decent rewards in resources.

Some good and some bad here.
- A huge improvement for Rocky. A lot of newer and casual players now have a very strong striker and New Gen option.
- Early milestone rewards were good. Players generally recouped the resources used for the faction event and tours pretty easily.
- Later milestones (12+) were unrealistic. The opportunity to grind for rewards is usually very popular with players, but 2,000 wins in 2 days (midweek) is over the top. Even as a 'stretch' target, 1,000-1,200 wins would have been more appropriate for the awards on offer. Also, more milestones might have encouraged players to play more, but with hundreds of matches between milestones, players just didn't want to continue.
- The blog had so many errors/changes to the actual event. Of course, it's understandable that things can change, but the changes were quite drastic. Players also expected to have 72 hours to reach their targets but the event was shortened significantly.
- Another faction scoring method could have been added for players who already had Rocky at a higher level.

I can't play this event because, i don't have that (Rock) superstar......
Thank you❤❤

Don't know what I could say here that wasn't already said.
- No matter how you slice it, I think everyone appreciates the revamping of Rocky - A lot of people have him, and him getting upgraded like this to a properly workable striker (if not a top striker, but one has to account for how many people have him and how much of an improvement he got) is a really nice gesture.
- Tours were as they've been lately, pretty even-keel. I was a bit disappointed that they got changed at the last second so that both required Rocky for bonuses instead of him having his own tour (Biased here, I have 123 Kid) but other than that I thought the tours were fine, if not including some opponents that would probably still obliterate Rocky even with the buff.
- The milestones have been controversial, and for good reason. The requirements get incredibly steep at the very end, peaking at a final milestone requirement that I don't think is feasible, whether or not you're willing to drop a lot of money or grind showdown. Granted it's not too horribly difficult to get some leeway in (Most importantly, getting Rocky at 2SB is reasonable, a nice touch) and the rewards you do get for the obtainable milestones are well and good, but I'm not at all surprised that as of me typing this only two people hit the final milestone and only four have hit the second-highest.
- Others have mentioned it but yeah, there were a lot of blog changes leading up to this. I know that's a given when it comes to refining events and the like leading up to public release, but it also meant that people had an expectation of what was going to go on in the event and it ended up being significantly different - I'm not sure if that can be helped at times (plans change, as they say), but it's also certainly worth bringing up.
