Removed sting wolfpac shards from store so now how can we recruit him

Never saw him one time after he was supposedly made "more frequent".
Mind you, I needed to see him 14 times to finish recruiting him. And I've been carrying the coins to do just that.

I had like 100 shards then after update I got to like 700 or 800 shards I saved tokens tps coins for sting as I don't have any good tech now he's gone maybe forever ngl i never been so angry

This is absolute garbage. Considering some people (myself included) have been saving specifically for these shards, and merely a week or two after telling the community he would be showing up more frequently, they pull him from the store COMPLETELY?! The community deserves better than this

That's the reason people like us are so angry we spent all our sd coins for him and more importantly I love wolfpac sting character what's the point in playing and grinding if we can't get what we need our fav superstar

This is unacceptable. We have worked hard and spent resources. And a lot of them 10k coins for every 50 shards not to mention all the cash refreshes to get more shards. We cant let this stand.

This is just ridiculous. People have spent show down coins and in game cash to refresh to get his shards. I personally think that you either need to give everyone Wolfpack sting or restore people show down coins and in game cash spent. At the very least you should let people recruit at the shards they have. Eg if someone has over 800 shards they get him at 3* gold and the remainder will be for tp.

Once they increased his odds I chased him till I ran out of SD coins & was waiting on SD event to get the last 2 packs I needed.

Not a good look at all Scopely, I appreciate licenses may be running out but this is completely out of order - the shards haven't even appeared enough times in 12 months to be able to recruit him - poor form from you. Should really reskin him then as people will want that trainer ability.

Completely unacceptable. You guys issue a oops “sorry” for removing him and giving us 0 heads up so we don’t even have the opportunity to spend igc cash to recruit him. I’m at 1150 shards. I spent a ton of igc cash in the beginning when he became available to get his shards. More recently it was announced that he would be more common so naturally I felt no need to spend additional igc to refresh SD shop to make him appear for the final 50 shards because I knew it was only a matter of time until he appeared. So what now? We’re all just sh*t out of luck then? Will you give us all our (thousands) igc back that we wasted refreshing the shop for him? No. Will you give us the remaining 50 shards for those of us who were at the final stage of collecting them? Nah. Probably not. You guys screwed the pooch on this one. At least reskin him then so our time and effort isn’t wasted on someone we will never be able to get.

Not long ago, there was an update stating that we (your customers) would see Wolfpac Sting more often in the showdown shop. Personally, I saw him twice, since that post. Not enough times to get the shards to recruit him. Now, you’re removing him. As in the past, you developers continue to do things that nobody has asked for, yet continue to not fix things that are asked for universally. This particular decision is beyond ignorant.

Re-skin Wolfpac Sting.
He is a valuable MP trainer that is no longer available. The last time this happened, the yellow mp and green gem creation trainers were re-skinned so that they would still be available. This has a simple solution. Just re-skin him to an approved WWE property.

Really poor from Scopely. Less than 3 weeks ago we were told his shards would appear with a higher frequency. Today you update the blog with no explanation other than a weak apology. What is the plan to resolve this?
What will players get as compensation for this? What should I tell people in my faction in this situation?

Basically it's just gonna be the same way as Enzo and Alberto del Rio. Now scopely will replace 2 new superstars as they did AOP to replace Enzo and Alberto.

This is such a Scopely move and it sucks, but at the same time it's kind of refreshing to see whales get just as screwed as regular players. Kind of levels the playing field a little, even if for just one brief moment

Here's the frustrating thing. Just a couple weeks ago, you announced that the shards would be appearing more frequently, which caused a lot of players (like myself) to reallocate their Showdown coins in this direction. I spent a lot of Showdown coins that I was saving for resources in this direction once you told us he was more attainable. Not only did I spend SD coins, but I spent actual money on igc to refresh the Showdown store, and got myself up to 1100 shards (just 100 short).
Here's the other thing. What really frustrates a lot of people (including myself) is that not only is it just weeks after you announced they would be appearing much more frequently, but you gave us ZERO warning about this. Of course, with Sting now on AEW, we knew this would happen eventually, but with what people have invested into acquiring him, it sure would have been nice to have some kind of notice, so that we could make one last push for him, instead of having the rug pulled out from under us.
Also, and not many people have mentioned it, this is right after you decided to give us two consecutive feuds in a row. According to the schedule that we have grown accustomed to, there should have been a showdown tournament this past weekend instead of the Titan feud. So, this announcement comes after two consecutive feuds, which meant it has now been almost three weeks since we had a Showdown tournament, which is really the only way to accumulate enough Showdown coins to go after the Sting shards.
The proper thing to do, would have been to wait until a weekend where we have a Showdown tournament. Let us know in the event's blog post that this would be the last chance for players to purchase Sting shards with their tokens. Those of us pursuing him would put extra effort in the event, and you would have thousands of players spending actual money for igc to refresh the Showdown store, and it would give us one more chance to earn those extra SD coins we would need.
As of now, my 1100 shards means I wasted 220, 000 Showdown coins of a character, only for him to be taken out of the game with ZERO warning. This are coins I could have used for resources to help superstars I already have.
It would have been nice for you to show at least SOME consideration for players who spend so much time and money on your game to at least give them some kind of warning before completely removing him. Is that too much to ask?

A sting a thon with friendly tours to get the soon to be retired characters at 1sb would have been a decent plan to show you guys understand we will be frustrated with this situation. At least this way we could use our shards for working a 1 star up some as opposed to nothing and nothing

This is exactly my issue 50 shards left. Took advantage of the cash event burned 1k cash trying to get his shards for an "update" out of the blue. Some sort of compensation should be send for those that wasted their resources trying to find him.

U didn't have to give a heads up or say anything, when u know license is about up just have a shard event before it expires to help people.
Now there is no red mp trainer for people that don't have one so something will need to be done. Well Trick Lacey but she's rare & only 1mp.

This is a junk answer, plain and simple. There was ample time to mention it. Hell, when the new shards were added to SD, would have been a perfect time to mention sunsetting it. There was more concern about promoting the "free" items than taking into account the number of resources invested. I personally already have him. I just feel that the only constant is inconsistency.

OK. That doesn't help us, though. The problem is that you, just three weeks earlier, advertised to us that Sting shards were going to be more readily available in the Showdown store, causing many users, like me, to funnel their showdown coins into getting him. As I said earlier, I have used 220,000 showdown coins in total to get the 1,110 shards that I have, with this goal in mind.
To advertise the shard frequency increase to us, causing us to use our resources, and you guys knowing that he will soon be unavailable, is deceptive at best, and outright vindictive at worst. There was no notice of when he would be pulled, and apparently you can't tell us why you can't give a notice. But there was also no warning attached to you guys advertising his shard frequency, letting us know that this may be our last chance. Had there been a "this may be your last chance" notice, people wouldn't be as taken off-guard by it, and there would be nowhere near the blowback you are getting now.
In the meantime, what, if anything is being done to compensate players who spent money and resources after you announced to us that his shards would be more frequent? I know that I spent about 160, 000 showdown coins in that time period, as well as purchasing igc to refresh the store, after you told us the shards would be appearing more frequently. Will I see any of that back, or did you flush those resources and my cash spent right down the toilet? What the hell am I supposed to do with 1,100 Wolfpac Sting shards?

I guess it depends how you define ample time. It was less than 24 hours after we specifically asked if this would happen and were told no plans on it. That doesn't constitute ample time to me.

I realize this question is stupid before I even ask it, but how could you guys have not known this would royally blow up in your faces?
Your player base, over the course of multiple years, spent actual resources (some that cost actual money) trying to recruit this character.

Today I learned that you can't flag a moderators post as spam.
Anyway. Lets make the most of this. Reskin Icon Sting as the Black Knight, Surfer Sting as the Blue Knight, and Tomato Sting as the Red Knight. You don't even have to change the move sets. Hell, don't even change the eras. HOF Sting can go take a seat with HOF Booker.
There are better options out there, but we all know they are non-starters.

Ohh we're sorry really doesn't help any one especially those of us who where hopeful of getting Wolfpac Sting and now have shards for character that's gone. if he is not being reskind then i would like every SD coin and igc refresh i have ever used trying to get this charter to show up which the last time before the announcement that stated he would show up more was November last year since then it was twice.
what is even more disgusting is the fact that you attempted to hide this was done by editing a post from the beginning of the month where you hoping that nobody would notice?
