Inventory Recycle Feature

Hey y’all,

I love the recycle feature but a couple suggestions:

  1. Is there a reason why it’s not available consistently? It seems once or twice throughout the year it’ll pop up. Inventory is beyond clogged up with old items and having this available whenever would be clutch.
  2. When the feature is live, it seems to pick and choose which items it will allow you to recycle. Take this screenshot for example. Aside from the blitz tickets, when the recycle feature recently showed up none of these items were recyclable. Is there a reason Scopely would want us to keep these? As far as I’m aware these are no longer in use at this point. This is just the top of my inventory as well, there are a ton of inactive items that it won’t let us recycle.

As someone who likes to stay organized with games, being able to keep the inventory up to date and not full of inactive items would be awesome. Like I said, if there’s a reason its intended to function like this just let me know. Thanks in advance!

    It's something that takes more planning than is obvious so at this time it's not something we can/want to do all the time but it's feedback we get so maybe it will change.

    Thanks for much for the insight. I understand as simple as things might sound it’s not always that way behind the scenes.

    Would they be more open/would there be less room for error to make it so you can just trash them year round? At this point I could almost care less about what you receive for recycling them, I just want them gone haha. Maybe a way to trash individual inventory that’s no longer active (with a pop up asking if you’re sure) year round, and then the once or twice a year you get a chance to get something in return for recycling. Just a thought and maybe a more feasible/nice way to meet in the middle.

    I think a far better idea than inventory recycling would be to stop using a brand new currency every single month.

    I completely agree with evrything said here! For a casual player; it sucks to A) have Loot items; etc when a campaign ends, and B) not have anything to do about it. So frustrating.

    This has been added to the things that should have been part of the game from the beginning...such as being able to remove a player from the Feud lineup.

    When developing a game, hmm...what do we do with what players collect and they have nothing left to spend it on? We have no idea, thus, let's just leave it inventory...

    What do we do when players add Superstars to a feud and save? I don't know, let's have players be stuck with what they choose and the only possible way to fix is to leave the faction and come back. Why would we think about player experience?

    This was a great idea to somewhat give players back what they worked for and literally bought but yet we are stuck with useless items / loot in which some were legit bought from store. It is quite a travesty that the team can't figure out how to give back to a community that is still supporting the game.

    The amount of useless items in our inventory pays homage to the short sightedness of the people in charge of developing this game.

    For once stop thinking with your wallet and hear the masses, the ones that are supporting you!

    Here's a couple of ideas that easily would solve this issue:

    1 - Since pretty much of the month events are rerun every year why not let us reuse the specific tokens in this year event (for an instance 10 Wrestlemania shirts from 2020 equal 1 Wrestlemania shirt for 2021);

    2 - Having a trade in button available to trade in the crap from previous events for coin, tp or evo token bags.

    On top of all the recyclIng /inventory cleaning suggestions, it'd be nice to have the opportunity to exchange MLC tokens by end of monthly events into that MLC's shards. Ie have around 200 MVP tokens in the bank which will rot there forever... To exchange them into 200 shards (1:1 rate or maybe 2:1) doesn't sound too generous ;)

    Would the community prefer a consistent way to recycle inventory on a more immediate basis with no rewards? Or a contest where you can obtain reimbursement for the useless items in your inventory? Let us know in here

    We have recycle events from time to time. Typically in November.

    We Need another round of recycling to clear out old outdated inventory.
