This event was frankly one of the most awful designs we have seen in a while. The tour CSS would have been fine if the opponent was more realistic. Nobody had a chain gang cena that high to just flat out win his node for example. Even SB cena for hard would have been feasible. The bonuses for superstars were spread out too far for the SD event and included more very rare options than usual. When you use people everyone has for a bonus at least lump them together so if you do choose to level them, it’s only a couple instead of 10 different people. With all bonus superstars and doing an insane 250 matches over a major holiday weekend you still need to spend a considerable amount to max, and if you have everyone what’s the point in spending on loot? The last piece was the majority of rewards pushed into the last milestone. They need to be spread more evenly.

    Pros: grindable event was cool.

cons: most rewards are sealed behind a paywall, the rewards in the 250 match event weren’t worth the grind and I wouldn’t have done it if I wasn’t sick. Shard drop rates were meh. Sd coins had next to no value in the event.

And one more big f**k up from this event - the prizes from the 250 wins event were not distributed yet. I have one person in my faction who has not received his reward. Can you imagine grinding over 800 showdown matches in 28 hours and then not getting the prize?

FIX THIS NOW! THIS IS TOTALLY NOT OK.

Bad event, low solo points. Low-tier superstars in bag for last milestone. And 250 matches is too much. I lost 6 million coins, now out of health packs and ended with 248 of 250 matches.

Also waiting on my leaderboard reward. This error was almost 15 hours ago, so I’m pretty sure it’s not coming to my mailbox any time soon.

Pros- it had a grindable aspect to part of it. The rewards were pretty good.

Cons- the rewards were all locked behind the final milestone which was expensive even if you had everybody including lashley. The portal purchases weren't giving in game rewards. Many had difficulty finding a match even with the free auto refresh. The contest superstars were mostly trash that you had to wait to use against a lower quality opponent. The loot boxes weren't giving healing. Definitely should get health pack compensation for that. Easily one of the worst events in recent memory. Equal odds bags were horrible. With key pulls being better.

Could not get any traction going here. Wall of 5ss, way too many unavailable opponents, way too many on my log without a revenge button to use.

I appreciate the auto refresh with two unavailables on your list, the issue I have is when some of those same unavailables show up again right away. Or when the refresh list is full of 5ss that I have no hope of running with.

I had a faction mate up at 600 notoriety saying no one was attacking him at the same time that I couldn't stay over 400.

Unlike others I dont see what was so great about the resources. Seemed pretty lackluster to me.

It was really hard to tell how many times I could use some of the bonus characters. The list was too long and you can't scroll it. Too much playing in the dark on that.

I would be happy to offer constructive feedback and suggestions on how to work around some of the issues with the weekend Showdown tournaments.

But what I need to see from the development team is an honest admission that they WANT to fix Showdown.

Matchmaking is a serious issue. I dropped my defense after getting close to max on Day 2 just to give myself time to line up revenge matches and was attacked maybe four times in the final 9 hours of the event. I can only assume that I was not frequently served up as an opponent to people.

That meant that I had to wade through endless notifications of opponents being unavailable because they were on a lockout timer to keep me from taking too much of their notoriety. The free refreshes are nice, but they don't solve the root problem.

Let me tell you a secret - when the end goal is to play 250 showdown matches, I don't care if I get an opponent's notoriety. I just want to get the W. And you, the developer, want me to get at least 250 Ws to earn my rewards and compete on the leaderboards. Not to mention the points that I would earn for the faction contest to make sure I could do my 1% with wins for modern-era superstars.

So why are you putting up these artificial barriers? Of course, this is a rhetorical question - you all sold us solo showdown win progress by the handfuls for $20 or $100 USD a pop.

As a result, there is no monetary incentive to the development team to fix what is broken about showdown beyond what they have already done, because they can offer literal pay-to-win deals and loop in desperate, downtrodden players looking to stay in competitive factions and/or lazy whales.

Why would anyone offer constructive, helpful feedback to a development team that clearly doesn't want to make Showdown a more enjoyable, engaging experience that would encourage player retention?

The overall solo contest was abysmal, reducing showdown coins value to 10 points per coin was overkill and took away any incentive to play for that section of the event. Putting a huge percentage of the overall rewards into the final milestone was a slap in the face to everyone outside of the 30 players who maxed it. The money needed to max didn’t match the rewards given. The 250 solo matches had extremely poor rewards for the time needed to max.

The only 2 positives I found were the contest superstars were a good mixture of easy to obtain superstars and rare ones. The faction event was okay as no spending played a factor in it.

trying to be as objective as possible

pro: it was kinda grindable, good mix between common and rare bonus superstars

con: we got a bag of common superstars ( besides rezar) at 3gold for winning 250 matches, which isnt worth the effort. you also reduced the points for getting SD-coins. all the advertised resources like coins tp and tokes were hidden behind a paywall and almost impossible to get. i maxed all days of the regular showdown, both days with the 15000 SD coins got the big bonus and had almost every bonus champ besides striker orton, moon and lashley and was at milestone 8 or close to 9 ( cant remember exactly)

mega con: you provided a shortcut for those lazy players by offering SD-solo wins for 89$, i mean really? instead of play2win this turned into pay2win

i really enjoyed the old showdown events, where we had the chance to win a good amount of resources by staying above 700 notoriety and maxing both days and another linked event with the bonus champs to chase the Event stars like it was for Ciampa and other guys.

  • Not a fun showdown.... didn't get near to the begs

  • What I can say is that as the game evolves or the foundations of the game are changing in an exaggerated way as it becomes increasingly difficult to participate in the events for lack of lack of the wrestlers they ask for. My point of view should be reconsidered in the next events .. I remember an event in which you could win akira tozawa up to 3 silver stars and that only in a combat mode. Obviously nothing is free now, it costs a lot today to evolve a superstar ... I have always liked the game in its playability, I hope I can continue to grow in my squad although now it costs me more ..

    Thank you
