Playstyle

Roddy Piper "Hall of Fame" needs not big damage to impress people, he likes to toy with them. Luckily (unfortunately?) he has no shortage of tricks to pull it off.

Notable Combos

  1. Sleeper Hold /  Eye Rake /  Belly to Back Superplex

Trainer 1: Jerry Lawler "The King"

Trainer 2: Daniel Bryan "The Yes! Man"

Available at 2star, fill the Belly to Back Superplex first to generate Purple Gems, charging the other 2 Purple Moves. Depends on the situation, you can prioritize which move to use next differently. If Roddy is taking some serious damage, use Eye Rake first to make up for the lost hp; in case your opponent's moves are close to activation, the Submission move Sleeper Hold will help better.

At 3star, Bulldog move becomes accessible. The move serves the same purpose as Belly to Back Superplex but it destroys instead of creating more. You should look into this one if you wish to free up 1 Trainer slot for other needs (HP Steal trainer perhaps).

Eye Poke of 4star rarity offers the most stable source of Purple out of all else. It generates 1x4 Purple gems on turn 1, it only requires 1 Green match to basically gets itself ready in the turn after. More importantly, you don't need a 2nd trainer if Eye Poke is in the moveset. Recommended Trainers: George Steele "The Animal" + The Rock "The People's Chomp"

Against Purple move users, Low Blow is the perfect answer in the 3rd move slot.

2. Sleeper Hold / Eye Poke / Figure-Four LegLock

Trainer 1: George Steele "The Animal"

Trainer 2: Brock Lesnar "The Beast Reincarnated"

The ultimate form of the legendary heel. He possesses 2 same-colored Submissions with this setup. The last move is only there for one sole purpose: charging the torture wheels. Like the other moveset, the Eye Poke is totally interchangeable with any other move that can generate Purple MP.

Once you have those Purple Submissions ready, use them subsequently. You should consider activating Sleeper Hold first if you have a choice as Figure-Four Leglock might be sometimes unreliable due to its randomness.

Weak Against

  • Superstars that have low charge move sets.
  • Superstars that have Purple steal moves.
