Halftime Heat and Pickers community event feedback

Hi,
Could it be made clear as to whether the community contest is a pay event or not ?
As it's not extremely clear, and those who choose not to pay might feel singled out.
0 -
its pretty clear. You have to pay if u wanna help. The rewards are for everyone. If u pay and your team wins u get extras.
0 -
You're gonna have to pay if you wanna help, however, this only lasts about 29 hours as opposed to the Goldberg one (which was also free). It's not looking good atm

I don't get shit I can claim all I want but I wnt get shit out of it

It's a pay event. You get rewards even if you don't pay, but it needs a lot of people to contribute to get the top rewards.
A lot of people on different servers don't fully understand the event. It's a shame that it wasn't communicated in simpler terms because it could have been a massive hit.
If most players just spent $5 each, everyone would get 5m coins and HOF Sting. And an extra 2m coins for every $5 spent too (if KC win).

I don’t think the event was advertised very much either. The Goldberg one had a in game pop up, and unless I’ve missed it, this one hasn’t had one.
I don’t know why they couldn’t just make it for every $ spent during the time period, rather than limiting it to that specific purchase which is only available online.
I think scopely have set the milestones way too high.

We need everyone to contribute to max this thing we at almost milestone 7 for hof
0 -
The problem now is that because it looks like it’s unlikely it will be achieved, I’d guess that most people are unwilling to contribute.
0 -
I wont contribute, becourse this game has turned out to be an only pay to play so yes the amount is low but still scopely have got so Much of my money each mounth and nothing in return, this should be free.earlyer we got free fighters in giveaways the tours where desent, now you need special fighters to manage tours And now hardmode is hellmode. So No more money

Was a good idea and for good prizes but ultimately the task was ridiculous, firstly we barely had any time to do the event not to mention we needed an enormous amount of points to max it and the only way to acquire points was by making in app purchases via the web portal. The event was definitely not well advertised as barely anyone took part compared to the Goldberg royal rumble event, it’s just crazy who so many people needed to spend so much money to earn that amount of points for BOTH milestones and quite frankly I don’t think people could be bothered and weren’t willing to waste their money on this event. Such a shame

Yeah, on paper sounded like a good idea, but the fact that the event was spend-only to get the good stuff really deflated the community into participating even more.
The in-game contents and rewards related to the contest were good. it's just gonna be a tad annoying seeing lots of Mr. Sockos with Stunt immunity during the upcoming Showdown tournaments.

It seems to have been a bit of a bust hasn't it. I wonder if Scopely will reward the winning team bonus rewards even though the end milestone hasn't been reached.

So long as you were able to beat the tours and had the contest superstars leveled high enough, the solo contest was very maxable. Very well received and awesome rewards.

Yeah, I feel like I spent 40$ and got roughly 1 million coins? Unless I'm missing something, I thought there was supposed to be a prizewall? Had I know that this was just going to give me coins I wouldn't have wasted my money. Super disappointed in this cash grab, and wish it was better explained.

Another dupe.

The worse part of all of this is that you dangled a free 4S in front of us, and then pulled it away as we reached out to get it. Now the people who paid got cheated, and the players who needed strong characters to continue playing get nothing.

Or your points didn't even get counted. I bought a TB pack but my portal showed KC so my points didn't register.

The event was well received amongst my faction. Didn’t require spending to max. Rewards were great for the little effort needed. Requirements weren’t too strict. Keep this up for a happier player base.

There is a Prizewall where you can redeem your Pick Tickets for MORE coins.

Overall I think the event was very good for the solo contest, and could have been better for the community aspect.
· Solo contest rewards were really good. Great to see blitz tickets and healthpacks as milestone rewards. The anti-stun straps were definitely a nice touch.
· Event paid offers were actually good value. I think the offers should have been available in the store also. Not everyone likes to use the portal, and many don't trust it after having account issues when it was first launched.
· If you're going to have a paid community event, I think only those that actually pay should benefit. That way you might encourage others to spend if they want to.

I'm about to say a bunch of things, and a lot of the community isn't going to be happy about it. But, let me start off by saying first and foremost this was one of the (potential) greatest community events you have ever run.
You gave people two sides to choose from, with a better igc rate than typical prices. The coin which accompanied it, should have been maxed by the community based on the participants in the Goldberg event. This was a gimme, and people didn't want to drop the $5 or $10 to get it.
Everyone praised how amazing the league shop was. And this was about on par with it, except swapping out the TP for IGC in these offers. If the community maxed both sides, it was 2 MILLION COINS PER TICKET.
So the way it breaks down... $10. 1 ticket for each side. 2k igc. 2m coins. And a consolation bag... This is by far one of the best deals that has ever been out there when comparing to the normal god-awful prices that are in the store such as $30 for 1m coins. Youre paying 3x less, getting double the coins, 2k igc, and your faction gets 20k keys towards the event....
I'm still at a complete loss and dumbfounded why this wasn't maxed out by the community. For both teams. This was an epic deal, with a killer topper gift at the end of the KC line in the form of HoF sting, which would have given plenty of people their 2nd male HoF card.
All of this being said, I think this was an amazing event for the community, and they didn't take advantage of it.
So speaking of this, I want to leave a comment/request for future community events. Can we please make it so that ONLY the people who contribute can actually get the event rewards? The amount of post on social media from people who were purposely not buying tickets, and telling the "whales to go and carry them to a HoF Sting" has really been a disgusting eye-opener. So my request would be to not reward those who don't participate.
As for the solo event? Easy peasy. One of the better events you guys have ever run. Didnt need all the CSS in order to max it. Great reward tiers. Very stoked about my own straps even. So I've rarely said it before, but I have to say it when you guys earn it.
This event was an A+

The biggest issue of the event is that purchases were only legible for the portal store. There are some major issues there. In the past some people have had issues with logging into the portal to delete their account (although a majority of that was human error). There is also the issue that the company running the store is not well known and as a result not nearly as trustworthy. Google and Apple are big name companies. If there is an issue it’s easy to contact support. New no name company not so much. I understand that the goal is to push people to the portal so they will purchase where the company has a better profit margin however a not insignificant amount of money was lost but not allowing all stores
That being said it seems like the event was a success. Everyone that logged into the portal was able to redeem the coins for the milestones. The event worked well from a operational standpoint.

pick feedback
pros-community rewards.
cons- portal only purchases made it difficult for many who can't make purchases there not to mention the bug that isn't allowing several India players ot make purchases.
Halftime heat-
pros- totally free event with lots of resources and one useful strap and one useless strap. tours were easy.
cons-besides the hit from unstunnable sockos to a lot of the players not much to say that's negative.

Pros: Halftime heat event is on par with the best events ever offered in recent years. Tours with some restrictions that had a balance, good resources in milestones and excellent straps. Tour difficulty manageable by bringing up any version of sock/rock.
Cons: Pickers event with limited purchases stopped this event dead in its tracks. It was a fun idea but only getting 250k per ticket took the offers from great to mediocre

I echo what most others said.
- Solo tour was great. Glad the event lasted an entire day and not just the length of the football game.
- The entire community fell on their face when it came to spending a few bucks... it really should be limited in the future to rewarding only those who participate...
- although was this due to stubbornness of the community or forcing everyone to use the portal where there are known issues for a lot of the player base still?
- The blog writing / contest writing needs a complete overhaul. It’s way too cumbersome and difficult to understand... ease of use only increases participation which in essence should increase your bottom line!

- Good tours and fair requirements
- Solo event was very positive and had good rewards
- Having the KC/TB tickets part being exclusive to portal was bad, people hate buying through portal
- Community event was a good idea and interesting
Overall it was a great event with a small part that needs to improve, that being exclusive portal offers. In general it was well received.

Pro: Great event. Easily maxable without needing to do all the bonus points or spending. Rewards were nice too.
Cons: None.

The community event was a good idea, but unfortunately the final milestones were too high.
Solo contest was great, had great rewards and wasn't too hard.
Best contest since a long time imo!
We need more of that
