Showdown Event Matches

Greetings all - I'm posting here bc the Help desk tends not to truly respond. While many of us were forced to ride the bench much of Saturday there are numbers here that would have maxed out the event 6 times. An event that runs 28 hours means that's 1680 minutes meaning those too scores were finishing the match cycle in less than 2 minutes.
I realize myself that my roster wouldn't allow me to sniff this kind of success but knowing I sat idle (like many others) for 5-6 hours on Saturday because my assigned opponents were already fighting.
Just hoping that we can level the playing field as much as possible rather than sucking the enjoyment out of the game.

Hey champ,
The top performers were using fast characters that typically win turn 1 and were maintaining low notoriety by having low talent defense allowing them to have several targets to revenge if they don't have a target they can attack.

And I just got to sit and play tiddlywinks no matter what my settings were.
And not all revenge matches are available when attempting. For me, probably 50/50 in availability.
And for the volume of players in the game how come only those few were able to take advantage of that playing style you described?

likely cause not that many people are willing to spend 24h+ hammering SD non stop without sleep and barely any breaks, 700-800 matches takes a hell of a lot of dedication in such short time even with super fast matches

While playing this mode I have found personally that you click a match the second it pops up to avoid the "opponent unavailable". Thanks Champ

Here’s the problems I’ve seen. As soon as you make your first attack you get hit 5+ times.
Typically for most players it’ll be guys who are 4000+ ahead of them which makes revenge imposssible until those players drop their roster. They don’t usually do it till around 4-5am server time.
where the opponent unavailability starts hitting is once you drop somewhere past 200 (might be 100 I’ll check next showdown since the refusal to acknowledge the problem means it’ll be broken then as well).
The only way past this is revenge till you get past the threshold. Once past it all the unplayable guys suddenly become playable again. You even have time to go check contests to see which superstar to use next. There is no “better push right away or I can’t battle for 2 hours”
2 problems here.
A) As I said most players can’t do anything till after the reset because the revenge guys are way to strong we all just get blasted by top players once we join the contest we are at their mercy as far as wether they lower their defense or not. If the wrong guys attack we are stuck the whole showdown.
B) Somewhere around 12pm server time revenge stops being an option on newer attacks. And it seems if you turn the game off no matter your score you get the unavailable again and the same on whatever revenge you have left as well.
Basically the second you stop playing you’re locked out again.

Hey Champ - Again 5 hours on Saturday I hit the first battle it offered and got the same error. And you see these comments, I'm not alone in that. Yes, someone managed to get their first battle 800+ times? Come on man. Stop drinking the kool-aid

I had the lowest of defenses and I wish I could have had the opportunity to at least try a turn 1 win. I didn't.

Yeah low defense just made it easy for the high level guys to take you out faster. Fortunately for me most of them lowered their defense sunday so I was able to play some Sunday but yeah the mode is broke they just refuse to accept that.
