Lacey Evans Debut Contest

Pros: Nothing, this is on par with the worst contests ever put out.
Cons: The tours were extremely limited and impossible for the mass majority of the player base. 5s women on three nodes requiring 2 SB against HOf tag links and class disadvantage isn’t difficult. It’s ridiculous. The ROI in milestones was paltry and left much to be desired. The lack of the normal showdown contest was not advertised and was actually in the calendar which left many waiting the 4 hours to start and losing time. The increase to stay in the top league saw a very small handful of players able to get there. Even those that did found matchups way off against those with less than 100 notoriety. It’s clear this was thrown together and it mad many MANY people angry, quit altogether, etc. The amount of grinding required nestled between 2! Flash feuds is a huge burnout factor considering what you get in return. Without a string of player friendly events you will lose players. Many of these spenders that don’t see an end in site or the point of continuance. Everyone is tired of ignored feedback and taking away the small benefits that are given such as the normal showdown contest. The leagues were new and not well outlined explaining what the bonus thresholds should be and no weekend support.

Pros- Not much honestly. The closest thing I could call a pro is upping the amount of coins you get. however changes to the leagues to do that definitely wasn't the way to handle it. The tag links for some of the characters made it slightly more bearable but the tag links weren't equal by any stretch of the imagination. 200% health for 2 showboats is pointless when they can't kickout of a pin anyway 1.5m health or 500k no difference. It was "technically" grindable to finish for people but wasn't realistic.
Cons-The league system pushed this back to being like the very first showdown tournament which made it difficult for the vast majority to hit the final league in the first place. The matchmaking was beyond ridiculous. NUMEROUS reports of not getting people who are worth attacking because of the low notoriety in comparison. Several players that would be considered whales struggled to hit the 1200 despite continuous play from when it went live to the reset because they repeatedly had to refresh or attack people with low low notoriety. I was rank 3 with 1990 notoriety and was matched with a 199 notoriety person this is beyond ridiculous. You took the biggest complaint from the f2p/non-whales and spread it out so it impacted everybody including whales. The league changes lead to having to spend coins to refresh because you can't target people even in the final league or having to spend coins to refresh because all your targets are so low you can't gain notoriety. Just attacking low notoriety people leads you getting hit by revenges that force you to lose 40+notoriety while gaining 1 or 0 against them in the first place. These are longtime complaints that were made worse by the changes. The milestones seemed to be less coins rewarded as well so you were FORCED to spend more coins just on refreshes and rewarded with less coins. The health pack requirement was greater than my last 2 feuds combined and those were flash feuds. The negative mp perks make these types of changes even worse. and the links don't help the situation either. Tossing a spend event on the end doesn't make things any better.

Just when we think that contests can't get any worse, someone at Scopely says "hold my beer". Who in their right mind thought that this contest was a good idea ? Asking players to play 300 plus showdown matches in 20 hours is not reasonable. Especially when in the end, you don't even end up with HALF of the required shards to recruit the character. Additionally, WHY OH WHY dod we ever get rid of the showdown contests (solo and faction) that everyone loves? If the classic showdown contests would have still been in place, it would have definitely softened the blow for this one.

PRO- Having Trish shards involved and actually being able to grind enough to get her was a big plus. I hope more rare character shards will continue to be infused in events that can be grinded.
The RNG bags had a higher average amount in them, but at the same time, we were able to earn far less, so really it was a wash in the case of Lacey... For Trish it was a plus.
CONS - LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE... The amount of time we had to spend on this game this weekend was unreal. No game should require 10 hours of playing in a weekend.... EVER. 70 matches for 6 characters?? That's embarrassingly bad.
I heard countless complaints of bad matchmaking... People above 1000 getting matched up with people under 100. That should NEVER happen,
The tag counter for your opponent is absolute BS... It goes down at the beginning, and the end of their turn. That is NOT how it is supposed to work, and we do not get that same advantage.
Dropping ANOTHER spend event on Sunday was pretty awful. You did this with the dragon event also, and pissed everyone off. Stop doing what this community hates all the time!
Multiple glitches, and errors cost a ton of people their rewards or milestones, and support was absolutely no help basically calling them all liars, even when they had proof.
Lack of Lacey shards in loot pulls... I had more than 10 reports of people spending over $500 and getting less than 100 shards. That's absolutely unacceptable. We have been saying it for years, but it seems to fall on deaf ears, so im sure im wasting my time typing all this anyway.
All in all, the event was a total failure on the players end, but you all made your money so im sure you will deem it a booming success and continue to completely fail the community. Please prove me wrong.

Pros- nothing that I can think of off the top of my head. The only piece of positive feedback sent to me was sarcastic thanks for help in leveling up and getting the 200 igc for doing so.
negative- where to begin. The tours were very limiting. They did not seem so on paper because normal and hard mode allowed a little wiggle room on the required (not bonus but just required ie any acrobat). Hell mode however was a different story. With the double showboat requirement the tour essentially became a must use Sasha banks requirement. Every other sb woman is fairly weak and even at 4sg unable to win even the first match requiring them on the tour. The paige and Charlotte tag link was not enough to overcome this in most incidents because even with expanded health their ability to kick out of a pin is suspect at best.
Other complaints from the event sent to me - rotations at the top of the event upset a lot of people. Why bother to compete for top prizes with your 100 when you are up against 300. Many top factions have lowered ones attached to them. Only one uses that to rotate members in and out to push a leaderboard and to get multiples of each reward for everyone. Secondly the match making during the event seemed off. Many people over 1200 were only being matched up with opponents Atleast 2 levels below them as a result they were receiving under 7 notoriety and unable to move higher. The reverse was true as well. When I was sitting under 500 I was only being matched with people over 900. Thirdly people were being hit multiple times during each match they played. Unless you had a absolute top tier defense it was nearly impossible to push to 900. Attached to that the reset rewards being adjusted was a major source of consternation for the players. In order to receive what was considered standard in past events (500 notoriety) you now needed to make it to 900. That jump and the shock of it left many players shaking their heads. As for the actual event. Most considered the amount of matches to be played to be laughable. While they appreciated the bonus characters were common expecting 75 matches for each was unrealistic and made it difficult to use the characters they have taken time to cultivate and build over time. I’m the future 1/3 the amount of matches would still provide difficulty and time spent while not being so daunting it ruins the events. Other have covered the structure and prizes for the event.

One of the worst so far. Tbh it just wasn’t worth it, the tours were horrible. The showdown itself was the worst. As someone who actually likes showdown, it got to the point I didn’t even want to try, while the leagues went up for coins the amount of matches alone got tiresome, the amount of hours to even get to 1200 and get the max was insane. No to mention not even a solo and a contest to get ahead was getting shards.

to say this was poorly received is an understatement most was already mentioned but here's the top ones:
- Insane amount of matched required
- increased weekly coin rewards per leagues were nice but bumping the lower 500 to 900 instead made it impossible for lower rosters to reach
- increased player activity due to high matches needed meant you were also getting attacked a lot more thus those with poor defenses just couldn't improve their notoriety as it was dropping faster then they could win matches
- had multiple reports of people between 1000-1200 notoriety getting matchups under 200 thus getting no notoriety gains on a win
- your hell modes were pretty tough
