Lowering the shards required for older superstars

I have played this game for multiple years and one thing that irks me is seeing superstars I have no chance of unlocking due to their high shard count and low amount of shards I get for said superstars

I know this idea will NEVER happen due to it not making Scopely making any money, but humor me:

How about after a certain period of time (I’m thinking about a year) lower the shard requirement and heck, even lower the rarity of the superstar.

It gives people the chance of possibly getting an opportunity. I see superstars in chase events that I know I will get around 50% of shards and it will just stay there

I just wanted to get that off my chest and if something comes from it... I would be happy

    Hey @Atinman,

    Thanks for being with us for so long. I understand that you and others have Superstars that need only a few more shards to unlock. In the recent past we have already tackled this with the Manager Loot (do your daily tasks and use your league coins for it) and monthlong Briefcases or Loot. There are always shards for several Superstars in it who you might need shards for.

    As for your request, we have currently no plans to lower any Superstars rarity or unlock (intentionally), but we try to put in more recent chases in upcoming loot and rewards.


    I know it is maybe not the answer you hoped for, but rest assured, we are aware of it.
