You can check the effect by going to the superstar in your roster and selecting the gear icon.

I don't have her just yet, I getting her shards from VIP reward, but I'm buying her gear from store in-advance.
You moderators here really SUCK in answering costomers you know, you don't seem to want to answer any of our trouble.

Rather than just giving you the answer, I gave you a more comprehensive way to check for when the same question on another superstar comes up later for "what does this person's gear do" . Even though you don't have her you can still pull up her card from the "not in loot" section of your roster.

Back to square1, I did that first thing and her gear option doesn't show up in "not in loot" part when I looked into her profile, that's why I post this problem.
