i ended up losing coins in both. If they are going to continue this model (which I hope they do) they need to just give him to us fully maxed out already. Having to dump coins and HOPE THEY DO THE MATH RIGHT is absurd. Saying they will refund your coins is a falsehood since my coins went down both times and I did not get fully refunded.

Definitely Black due to the 50 health pack matches to keep him going. DXArmy HBK was too hard to keep healthy.

if they could send it maxed it would obviously been done, it's not possible, it's a poster, just like you cant pull a poster with levels on it

But they send the poster and the required shards to maximise his moves. Why not just send the required amount of coins to maximise his talent level too?
You could make them 'special' coins so that they could only be used to level the trial character, rather than people using them for the rest of their roster.
It can't be that hard to programme surely?

Then they clearly need to make it to where the refund of coins is 1:1. No matter what the coins I spend are I should get that exact amount back. It’s unfair to say “get your coins refunded back to you” but I end up losing coins both times. It make me not want to even try with these new superstars if I lose resources in a FREE TRIAL!!!! That my issue.

if they sent the coins people would just keep the 50mil coins and not level him so that's never gonna happen and there is no "special coins" mechanics, theres only one way to level characters

In my honest opinion I think Black just because he was so overpowered that you basically one hit every ladder.

they could make it so the leveling cost like 100 coins

Then as I and many others have said just make it a try 1:1 return on your coins. Make the milestones 210 of them so every level up is 1:1.

again not possible, levelling cost is the same for all characters, he cant have "custom costs"

Black, all the way. The next free trial should be w/ female fighter. Like for example, trish would've been great to try out.
