Summerslam Party Flash Feuds

Positives:

(please dont take those as invitations to nerf in the future)

  • Realistic overall milestones
  • Talent/Evo in point method appreciated by less feuding factions
  • Gear in rewards was nice
  • Gallows in 4th feud was welcommed
  • good variations of superstars used over the 4 feuds


Negatives:

  • A lot of technical issues, probably the worst "Red rings" I've had in a year throughout all 4 feuds, really really bad, also each feud had one moment the server crashed and we all got kicked from our feuds
  • The double HOF requirement on the first feud was overkill
  • The 50 NBT shards for first place was underwhelming
  • While the 5h midday feuds were ok, the 7h late night ones were a bit too long, should've been 5h as well or all 6h

    The set of feuds themselves were fine. A little painful on medkits at times but acceptable. Most seemed to appreciated the gallows prize as the reward in the final feud. However the prizes in the previous three were not as well received. While the main reward was shards for a character that are mildly rare 50 shards for first and then a sliding scale from there makes the prizes fairly worthless. If you were outside the top 5 or so you would need an absurd amount of feuds with similar rewards to unlock the character.

    The big negative on the feuds was that the servers seemed to be lagging the entire event. Red ring was incredibly common. Switching between tabs on game was slowed. Saw reports of people being unable to save trainers and needing to restart to do so. We saw the return of faction queues becoming locked. At random intervals we saw massive amounts of people given disconnect notices and then kicked out of their brawl. To put it politely it was a mess. This is after we were told two weeks prior that rewards couldn’t be updated or changed because of the stability of the event. The event is barely stable as is I can’t imagine it would have changed much.


    As for the event attached to the flash feuds. It was good rewards time and effort involved seemed fairly balanced. The final goal was achievable with effort time and resources spent but not impossible. Well balanced and enough rewards to keep players engaged.

    When I checked about 3 hours before event end there were 8 or 9 factions that had finished it so I would disagree with Guersan that they were fairly achievable. I think few people had Shawn so it probably didn't drive participation. The rewards were better than normal feuds but there was a definite sense of lets dump these characters because we won't be able to sell them soon.


    Red rings/lag was the worst it's been in a long time.


    Definitely feel like 5sg tokens should be part of the feud rewards.
